Time for another thread! What a chatty bunch.

We should get a spreadsheet set up that's an open shared document so we can all update it. I'll see what I can do but currently without a laptop!

Japan that definitely sounds like good news. Really pleased for you!!! 😊😊😊

I didn't have a vaginal scan either, they didn't offer me one, which I'm glad about as DH is already traumatised at the thought that he's got to be there for the birth! He's very squeamish.
He won't be cutting the cord, that's for sure.

MontyPants · 26/04/2017 16:44

Also guys I had a scone with clotted cream and jam today. Best. Thing. Ever. 😍

mamalovesviolet · 26/04/2017 16:56

I'm so light headed towards the end of the day. I NEED to drink more water. My blood pressure is generally on the low side and I just feel like I am going to keel over! My DH had to walk behind me up the stairs the other day as I kept momentarily blacking out! It's not a lack of food - that's for sure!

Chamonix1 · 26/04/2017 16:59

Fantastic news Japan Grin

I'm starting to get all hot in the face as soon as 4pm hits. Just feel like I'm burning up, but hands and feet freezing. Makes me feel so unwell. Anyone else had anything like this??

glastogal · 26/04/2017 17:09

I seem to be the opposite today cham.. I'm so cold I'm in my fluffy giraffe onesie.. I do find I'm hot at night though!!

MaryShelley1818 · 26/04/2017 17:46

Chamonix...I'm very similar! Freezing hands and feet during the day then at night my face starts burning and I'm boiling in the middle of the night!

ChocolateRaisin · 26/04/2017 17:47

Hi everyone, sorry to hear a lot of you are struggling with nausea. I am too, I'm off sick today after a horrendous day at work yesterday where I slogged it out. Light headed, dizzy, sweating, constant violent retching... oh the joys. I feel awful for saying it but I don't think I could do this again.

Zabe please take some time off, you sound like you're really struggling!

I've got my early scan 6pm tomorrow, I am just hoping everything is ok. My symptoms are so different to last time and so much stronger, I'm feeling like it could possibly be ok...

Congrats on your scan bigin.

I feel so grim!!!

Queen0ffaff · 26/04/2017 18:00

That's really great news, Japan, really good to see that.

I actually just fell asleep at my desk. Pretty sure I got away with it, but maybe everyone was being polite! I've moved on to waking up at 3 am the last couple of days. 3 am and that's it - boiling hot, and awake for the day. Can feel the brain power draining out of me. Sorry to everyone who's struggling with sickness and more, too!

I'm not sure if we're going to find out the gender. I always thought I wouldn't if I did get pregnant, but now we're here and I keep referring to "him" I feel like I might, if only to have time to make that mental adjustment before he or she arrives. No preference either way here, especially as this is our first.

I don't have any scans or tests or appointments booked in at all, yet - just a "give us a call if all is still well in a month". It all seems really far away still, but it's lovely to see all the scans starting to come in. It's amazing how quickly they actually have a little shape you can make out!

Luxecalmeetvolupte · 26/04/2017 18:42

Hi all, wow this has moved on quickly, posted on the original thread a few days ago! I think I'm just a little over 5 wks due to variable cycles - so due anywhere 25-28 Dec. Been dealing with sick parent and sick toddler both in my house since I found out last week - haven't really had time to think. Sickness kicking in with a vengeance today though - either that or I've caught the bug Sad Supposed to be going on holiday this weekend too! DH has just cooled dinner and the smell is making me want to kill him Angry

Luxecalmeetvolupte · 26/04/2017 18:43

Cooked dinner!

Carley27 · 26/04/2017 19:27

Hi all, sorry I've been absent but I was away on holiday, was lurking though!

I'm 5+4 today and was delighted to get my 3+ on my remaining CBD today ☺️ no tests left but after reading previous conversations on this thread I'm so tempted to crack out my remaining OPKs 😂 still symptomless other than being bloated (I'm 99% sure it's just podge from overindulging on holiday but I prefer to blame pregnancy!)

Sorry you're feeling sick luxe, hope you've not caught the bug!

We will definitely be finding out the gender, I can't deal with the not knowing and I want to buy some gender specific things. Like queen we are already referring to baby as 'him' and I want to be able to make the mental adjustment to 'her' if it's a girl! No preference to boy or girl so will be delighted either way 🙂

Japan what lovely news, so happy for you!

Peach I bet your dad is over the moon. So sorry to hear he's ill, really hope he gets to meet baby 🌸

TootsyBella84 · 26/04/2017 19:41

So has anyone found anything that actually works for sickness? 🤢
With my youngest I had hyperemesis until quite far on in to the pregnancy, absolutely nothing helped, not even meds from the Dr.
I'm worried it's going to turn in to the same, 6+4 today so still early sickness days. I'm feeling horrendous for every waking minute 🙁 I've been wearing my sea bands and have just been for ginger beer and ginger biscuits - the ginger beer is gross!

BirdBrain85 · 26/04/2017 19:47

Peach what a special moment to have with your dad xx

Japan so pleased everything looked okay. Implantation can take 10+ days so it's entirely possible it happened late for you.

Sorry I've been absent, but I have been reading. The fatigue and nausea has just continued really. I have spells where I feel absolutely fine, and then other times I'm retching because I feel so grim. Like Pause when I'm hungry I need to eat RIGHT NOW haha. Finding it difficult to carry on as normal at work. I have my early scan tomorrow though and so if all is well I'll be informing my manager.

Bisquick · 26/04/2017 19:51

So pleased to see your scan went well biginjapan

I have a scan scheduled at 7 weeks, but that's over a week and a bit away. Haven't referred myself to a hospital, still can't make up my mind on whether to return to our previous hospital or go to a different one. Have a counselling session in a few weeks - will probably decide after that. Our local trusts don't do booking in appointments until week 8 anyway, so doesn't feel like there is much of a hurry. Just hoping all is well at the scan.

Returning to work on Tuesday but my brain still feels like mush. If all goes according to plan I'll have 6 months of work before I go off again. Such a strange feeling.

I found eating ginger biscuits helps with the nausea. A bit. So far have only thrown up a couple of times though.

glastogal · 26/04/2017 20:00

I've had a dull throbbing ache appear in my right side.. so naturally I'm trying to play it cool but i'm concerned. It doesn't feel muscular. It feels like food poisoning but it's on the wrong side for my stomach 😟

Zaberwocky · 26/04/2017 20:14

Chocolate I literally just came on here to ask if I'd be pathetic to call in sick tomorrow 😂 I think I've already decided I'm going to. I'm sure my manager will be delighted. I'm just going to stay home, nap, and try and get some food in me as well as the water.

Can I just say Grin I'm getting a new oven Friday. It's only taken them ... two threads plus this one to replace it!

Zaberwocky · 26/04/2017 20:15

Glasto snap.

Mine was wind though Grin it's better now.

Anyway me and my sick bucket are off to sleep now!

Mrsbluebell17 · 26/04/2017 20:15

Zaber I love how you've started counting in threads not weeks Grin

glastogal · 26/04/2017 20:20

Zaber - really hope it is wind too then!! I will probably deeply offend DP in the next half an hour!!

Beardy1 · 26/04/2017 21:04

I've been having acupuncture and I swear it's helped me not actually be sick. I was really sick previously in pregnancy and although I'm nauseous I feel it has helped. I also carry around rice cakes and fruit and never have an empty stomach ever. Plus ginger tea is the way forward as well as a ginger shot in the morning. All has resulted in no spew thankfully.

Had my initial mw appointment and have had to agree to a hospital I don't particularly want to give birth at due to my autoimmune issue affecting the baby heart. I have to go to a specialised clinic at this one centre and they want me to stay in the same hospital area. Gutted! I'm hoping I can refer back to my chosen hospital once they have figured out whether the baby is okay. Only time will tell now.

Oysterbabe · 26/04/2017 21:19

Just been catching up on One Born. It always makes me cry! 😢

Anyone else really, really thirsty?

Mrsbluebell17 · 26/04/2017 21:27

Oyster yes I'm thirsty all the time!! But then I drink loads and just want to pee all the time.

CantHelpDancingWithTheDevil · 26/04/2017 21:39

I want Brie and crackers 💔😭

leighdinglady · 26/04/2017 21:41

Itchy legs!!!

mamalovesviolet · 26/04/2017 21:59

leigh - I would happily chop mine off right now. Grrrrr!
