Wow the thread has exploded into life while I was sleeping! Trying to catch up now 😅 I was awake until 4:30am and have slept in fits and starts between now and then. No BH - in fact I think I've only had one episode of them so far but I'm not even sure if that's what they were. Definitely felt like cramping/period pain/tightening though.
@CatRash You poor thing dealing with that level of swelling! My feet are definitely swelling because I can feel them tighter in my shoes/sandals but it's not nearly as noticeable as that. I soak them in a big bowl of ice cold water at every opportunity during the day and then keep them elevated when I'm lying down. Hope you get some relief - at least the weather is supposed to be changing tomorrow...
@mynameisntLinda Oh gosh, piles are no fun at all... I had a mild case for a couple of days around 28 weeks (when I started taking my iron supplement) but luckily wasn't too bad and cleared up quickly. I've found that having a fresh pear, a handful of dried cranberries & an Activia yoghurt each day has kept me nice and regular up until now.
@glitterglitters Get that oxytocin flowing girl!!! All the cuddles, all the chocolate, all the ice cream & all the nail splendour 💅🏻😂 Hope all goes well with the midwife today and fingers crossed things will get moving naturally very soon so the induction scenario won't come into play.
@Mawita Thank you for the kind words re: DH - fingers and toes are firmly crossed. What a lovely stranger you encountered the other day! Really restores your faith in humanity when things like that happen. I didn't realise you'll be giving birth at C&W too; wouldn't it be funny if we end up in there on the same day. Astronaut mural for your intergalactic nursery theme looks fantastic 👌🏻 very original.
@Notyetthere and @nat2311 - waaaa how exciting!! We have movement!! I agree with glitters - at least 2 more of our thread's babies are on the way in the next few days 😍🙏🏻
Some encouraging news from DH in the past hour... The military hospital called him to come back in today and have his ankle bandaged up because the MRI revealed he has a Grade 3 (i.e. ruptured) ligament tear. He picked the injury up in the last game of the season and was told to just let it rest and heal itself over the summer break, but clearly it's still there and they've picked it up in the scan. Obviously I'm not saying I want my DH to be injured (🙄😆) but this scan report, plus his past knee surgeries, should disqualify him from being locked down in the base camp. During these medical tests they grade them from 1-5 in terms of fitness - 1 being the highest, which DH would be if he didn't have an injury - and assign them based on that. Level 5 means unfit for physical military field work, so they get put behind a desk in an office job instead, and I don't think they have to go through the 45-day communication embargo and 4 month camp lockdown in that case. He should know more later today or maybe tomorrow, but it's certainly a glimmer of hope to hold onto 😩🙏🏻 Missing him like crazy though. I wasn't mentally prepared for him being so far away right now.
