Hi all just to update and sign out. Had my second scan yesterday (a private one as couldn't bear to wait 2 weeks for repeat nhs one). It showed that the gestational sac had grown an appropriate amount for a week but the yolk sac that was there last week had disappeared. Really annoying because they can't diagnose a mmc until the gestational sac is 20mm, and mine is 15, so still waiting for confirmation at my nhs scan on Monday. It's clearly bad news though and I've accepted it now. Just want to move on. 3 mcs in a row and now second one in 3 months pretty much all cried out.

Best of luck to you all.

Hazandduck · 20/04/2017 12:33

Oh harriet I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I really wish you all the best and hope you are being well looked after xx

TeaAndPjs · 20/04/2017 13:15

So sorry Harriet :( sending hugs

Aliceinchunderland · 20/04/2017 13:36

I'm really sorry @Harriet

8+5 today and I finally admitted defeat and went to the GPs for some anti emetics, she gave me Promethazine, which I can start taking tonight. Already vomited 3 times today, my lunch only stayed down for 5 mins 😩
The GP said that the symptoms peak between weeks 9 and 10, so only a fortnight left of this hopefully!
Had my booking in appt earlier this week, just waiting for my scan date to come through now 😊

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 20/04/2017 13:53

Awful news harrietm87, I'm so sorry.

@Aliceinchunderland, I'm glad your gp has said that. I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and today has been the worst so far in terms of nausea and throwing up :(

I feel like I'm bothered by the smell of practicality everything Sad really hope things do get more tolerable soon

MrsGB2225 · 20/04/2017 14:06

I'm am so sorry harriet, this really isn't fair at all. I hope you are being well looked after. Because this is your third mc, hopefully they will look into things more now. Wishing you all the best for the future. Xxx

NoCatsHere · 20/04/2017 14:29

Harriet I'm so sorry, having just been told something similar this morning in EPU I genuinely feel your pain. I really hope that because this your third you at least get future help and some answers. I hope you're being looked after and all the very best for your future pregnancies xx

harrietm87 · 20/04/2017 14:45

Thanks nocats so sorry for your loss too. And thanks all for the kind messages.

I've booked a private appointment for testing now and so want to move on and try again.

AGnu · 20/04/2017 15:23

So sorry it didn't work out this time harriet. Fx you get some answers from testing & get a sticky bean soon!

I dozed on the sofa while the DC watched a DVD this morning. I've gone 2 days without any naps & stayed up really late last night so I was exhausted. I had yet another random dream. This time DH & I had entered some sort of reality show that involved being given 3 additional newborns at the same time as our own arrived & having to take care of all 4 while trying to figure out which one was ours. I called one Hayley not a name I'd be likely to actually use because I got sad that none of them had names. It was so vivid. I'm a bit scared I'm expecting quads now! Blush

Sorry to you also nocats, I hope you are ok. Xxx

Hopeful25 · 20/04/2017 16:01

Harriet and nocats really sorry to hear your news - be kind to yourselves the next few weeks I know it's a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions xxx

Hazandduck · 20/04/2017 16:27

I hope you get some answers harriet.
I'm sorry about your scan today nocats have been thinking of you. The journey to parenthood is such a turbulent one, when you're a teenager and everyone is warning you to always use protection because if a boy winks at you you'll be pregnant blah blah, you just have no idea how hard it actually can be xx

DuRezidal · 20/04/2017 16:41

I am so tempted by a private scan... I am 10 weeks now so not that long until first scan so debating whether it's worth it.

Hazandduck · 20/04/2017 17:13

Durezidal I have a private scan booked for tomorrow lunchtime when by my LMP I should be 10+6, which seems pointless but I've not wanted to go through the whole rigmarole of booking in with the midwife again having done it before and getting scan letters through even for 20 weeks, after I'd miscarried shortly after booking in. I feel like if I have this scan and it's ok then I will book in with the midwife. I'm being stupid and superstitious but I think we just do whatever we have to to cope psychologically don't we xx

Mummyagainmaybe · 20/04/2017 19:23

So sorry Harriet and Nocats, hope you're getting really good care x

lelygirl · 20/04/2017 19:34

Have my booking in appointment tomorrow, should be 9 weeks although dates are a little uncertain. Feeling really nervous about it..had been really sick but that's eased so much this week. Boobs still tender though. Don't think I'll ever stop worrying.

TeaAndPjs · 20/04/2017 20:30

So went for booking in app and all went well then went for scan and that's where it gets confusing, by LMP I should be 9 weeks Tomor but I thought more along the lines of 8 as I ovulated late! Well today I am measuring 6, there has been growth since last scan and a heartbeat but really don't know how I can be 3 weeks out!!

Hazandduck · 20/04/2017 20:38

Do you know when you ovulated? I think they say it can take time for the egg to implant (sorry if I've not got the wording correct!) but that may add on more days too? Did they say everything looked ok? Glad you saw a heartbeat that's a very positive sign xx

TeaAndPjs · 20/04/2017 20:55

I ovulated cycle day 19/20 and got my positive on cycle day 28/29 So it's totally threw me with dates but yeah said all is looking good so do gets crossed:) I'm back in 2 weeks to check again xx

Mummyosborne1983 · 20/04/2017 21:00

I'm so sorry for your loss Harriet Flowers hoping you get your bfp again soon xxx

Mummyosborne1983 · 20/04/2017 21:02

I had my booking appointment yesterday and then afterwards I had some pink, I'm a bit sore and think it could be thrush related and due to dtd but for reassurance had a scan today.
I'm bang on my dates and a heart beat was clearly seen Smile

Springersprung · 21/04/2017 11:10

Ladies, I need some help/advice. Have any of you had problems wearing heels in early pregnancy? I'm 8 weeks and wore heels (not overly high and chunky) yesterday. I was actually sat down for about 50% of the time, but from yesterday afternoon onwards my mid back has been spasming/aching. I don't know if the heels are to blame or if it's just coincidence!

theotherendofthesockportal · 21/04/2017 12:52

I had an early reassurance scan yesterday. I measured 10 weeks exactly which correspond with the dates I had worked out. Baby sock portal has a good heartbeat.

The scanner woke baby up and s/he was moving around, before rolling over and going to sleep (so like his/her father already)

Biscuits, official scans & the end of the trimester - Later November due dates this way...
user1489352197 · 21/04/2017 12:53

Great news @mummyosbourne! Always good to see the scan and heartbeat Smile Grin

I am still fighting to get my scan booked in (every midwife I speak to say I should be looked after by someone else), by my LMP dates I am nearly 11 weeks, might be a few days behind! I am desperate to have it done as need to tell work before they guess... fingers crossed I get a scan date soon! Confused.

@springer I can never wear heels in pregnancy, although the back issues tended to come later for me personally. Do you have to wear them? I find ankle boots not as bad, might be worth seeing if other styles are more comfortable? I hope your back feels better soon! x

user1489352197 · 21/04/2017 12:54

another great scan - lovely news @sockportal! Grin
