Thread #2, because apparently our "quiet" thread is rather busy! Grin

If you're new, do add yourself to the list so we can all see where we're at!

Help yourself to a Biscuit, here's to another month of chatting!

Oh Sock that sounds terrible. I've suffered with cystitis & urine infections in the past but nothing like that. Hope you're starting to feel better. Listen to your mum & take it easy, nothing to feel guilty for. You and baby are the priority now. Good luck for the scan. We've got ours on 11th.

So the news of my pregnancy has spread like wild fire round work, sort of wish I'd held out longer now but it is nice to breathe out & wear maternity!

Starting to feel more movement. Woke up in the middle of the night, baby was right up by my belly button & was having a great old time moving around. Can't really feel anything during the day yet, seems to be all at night when I'm lying flat. Anyone else getting movements yet?

butterybollocks · 31/05/2017 18:04

Hope your appt today has gone ok @Zampa

Sock that sounds awful, definitely look after yourself.

I've booked to have blood taken for the nipt second attempt on Friday morning. Feeling slightly calmer about it, they said am inconclusive result happens in 3% of cases and is just down to not enough featal dna in the sample. I think the fact that they called me completely freaked me out as I recognised the number as soon as it came up on my phone and thought it would be bad news.

Back from holiday now - we went camping, we camp a lot but this was my first experience of camping while pregnant! My husband bought me a new posh mattress which was so comfy! We've walked miles every day and my feet have been aching.

I have a consultant appt tomorrow for high blood pressure, don't really know what to expect... Has anyone else had this?

Zampa · 31/05/2017 18:05

Jealous of everyone feeling movements already. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and imagine I'm a month of anything yet (based on last time).

Was at hospital for 3 hours today, seeing the consultant ... Gah! Made a bit of a (polite) fuss about seeing the fetal medicine specialist so had to wait a bit longer. Getting an extra scan at 26 weeks and at least one more, which helps with the anxiety.

Sorry to hear that you've been so poorly sock. Get well soon and take advantage of being looked after.

Cross post buttery! I'm camping at 23/24 weeks in France. Any tips?

Consultant addressed my previous pre-eclampsia by saying take aspirin and go to your midwife appointments for checks! We discussed VBAC and ELCS and that was it (apart from reviewing DD's issues, which was the lengthy part). Go with lots of questions, if you have them as it's rare you get one on one time with a doctor!

butterybollocks · 31/05/2017 18:30

I'll be camping in France at a similar time zampa! If you don't have one already, I'd recommend a good self inflating mat, I got a 10cm Outwell one and it is great. Also a chair that reclines for the evenings! I think camping is often cooler and more comfortable at night than a warm house.

I don't think I felt movements until 20 weeks last time but am 16+1 now and have been feeling movement for about a week.

theotherendofthesockportal · 31/05/2017 19:43

Thank you to all of you for your well wishes!

@Topsyloulou I think I have felt movement over the last week. It felt like bubbles popping gently, but with how I've been feeling it could have been something else...

izzibee29 · 31/05/2017 19:51

Hi ladies,

Sounds like we are having a mixed bag of a week all round. I've not felt movement yet but definitely am showing more (it no longer looks like a good Chinese for dinner the night before). I do have a twingy left hip which keeps coming and going. Hoping it'll settle down soon, but I guess this is what comes from all the growing and stretching.

Hazandduck · 31/05/2017 20:19

God sock you poor thing! Glad you are home and being looked after :) Forget work, your mum is right, put yourself first!
I've been feeling lots of tickles and flicks. They make me grin every time. After the midwife listened to the heartbeat baby kicked out right where she'd been pressing, obviously didn't like it haha! Every time OH puts his hand on my tummy to try and feel it it stops though lol. He says baby doesn't like him already!
I have got a definite bump already and this is baby no 1! I'm going to be huge for my wedding in August, lord help me...

Hazandduck · 31/05/2017 20:20

Izee I've had a few sharp pains this week kind of low down on each side and in my groin. Midwife said it is just stretching. Still a bit scary but I can feel flutters at the same time so trying not to worry x

GingerHanna · 31/05/2017 20:49

I'll be 16 weeks on Friday with my first and not felt anything. I may have felt a bubble pop once yesterday and again today but I was distracted and it could have been something else. Will wait and see how it pans out...

izzibee29 · 31/05/2017 22:36

@Hazandduck is this your first. It is mine. it's all a bit strange and exciting experiencing everything for the first time. It's crazy to think what our bodies will go through over the next few months.

theotherendofthesockportal · 01/06/2017 11:33

Ladies, we are quickly running out of room in this thread. Who would like to start a new one?

GingerHanna · 01/06/2017 11:42

Good point sock. I'm happy to start a new one as soon as I'm back to my desk in 15 minutes. Get to put a silly title in!

theotherendofthesockportal · 01/06/2017 11:49

I don't know how to start a thread and link it to this one. @GingerHanna you can have the honour 😁

GingerHanna · 01/06/2017 12:34

New thread is up here... don't forget to keep the spreadsheet up to date (link in the opening post).
