Sorry to heard you've not been feeling well Lydia, at least I'm not that bad.

I was hoping to be able to eat a bit less this trimester as the constant biscuit eating from the first means that some of my knickers are hopeless to attempt wearing too. However, it seems that digestives are the cure all for me, so I'll just have to keep munching.

izzibee29 · 21/05/2017 08:26

I forgot to ask- has anyone found a reasonably priced place for purchasing nursing/mat bras for bigger boobs? I've grown to a 32G and know that mands don't offer above an f cup.

Foggymist · 21/05/2017 08:49

Lydia maternity bras are a thing, non wired, soft fabric. I got done in Mothercare that were so pretty and comfy that I've bought them repeatedly since then and wear them all the time for breastfeeding. I don't wear nursing bras at all because I hate the clips!

theotherendofthesockportal · 21/05/2017 13:51

I've had the beginning of my pregnancy becoming public property. My mum's next door neighbour patted my tummy and asked if I was sure that there is only one in there.

tmc14 · 21/05/2017 14:12

Eurgh, Sock, that's not fun. What did you do? I'm not a touchy feely person at all. I think I'm just going to be straight with people who try and touch my bump, and tell them not too please. One very close friend has touched my stomach but asked first.

theotherendofthesockportal · 21/05/2017 14:43

It's the first time anything like that has happened to me! I had heard that it happens but wasn't expecting it this early on. I just stood there in shock!

Mummyagainmaybe · 21/05/2017 16:30

I had my tummy patted by someone I hadn't seen in a while and didn't know who asked if there was a baby in there. I think I may be showing.

Sorry you're feeling rough Lydia. Hope you're okay x

lydiangel83 · 21/05/2017 16:54

Thanks guys I am feeling rough and oh so moody too. According to DH I looked very bored and didn't want to be at my in laws this lunchtime. I have just carried on through a really busy week/ weekend and I think I was at the end of my tether today :-/ either need a good sleep or some exercise, I can't decide!

lydiangel83 · 21/05/2017 16:56

Oh and first trip to Mothercare today, all very bewildering! I did take the opportunity to get fitted though and apparently I have gone from 34C to 34E!! Was quite shocked! Didn't buy anything as small range but may go and get measured somewhere else next weekend. Pretty sure I will never be an E cup again tho so want to enjoy it :-)

Zampa · 21/05/2017 19:51

We told DSCs today and then both sets of grandparents.

Grandparents were hugely underwhelmed. My Dad didn't even understand that the scan picture was a new DGC! I think he thought it was an old pic of DD. I can understand their reaction to an extent as they are worried about what might happen considering DD's issues.

DSCs were fabulous. DSD (12) had me in stitches about noticing I'd put on weight but not wanting to say anything. She's a very polite young lady.

DuRezidal · 21/05/2017 19:58

Oh god I am absolutely on my knees. I had a clients mare foaling at 2am this morning so didn't get home til after 4.30pm then had to be up at 6pm to judge all day! Just got in bed now as put my daughter to bed and actually feel that tired I can't sleep!

Foggymist · 21/05/2017 20:19

Fair play to you DuRez. I had a long but broken night's sleep, then scrubbed the house before making tons of food and hosting friends all afternoon. I'm exhausted, but it mustn't be a patch on how tired you are!

MrsJB1987 · 21/05/2017 20:46

So scan not until Wednesday when I'll be 13+4 but went to mothercare today to find some trousers that are comfortable to wear!!!! Have to say was very exciting and all made it feel real / even hubby had a twinkle of excitement in his eye (also a mild panic about cost of things) just hope I haven't jinxed anything!! 🙊🙊🙊

butterybollocks · 22/05/2017 14:32

I ended up on Oxford Street today for a meeting - basically very little maternity wear in the shops there either. I did find some I'm topshop but it was so expensive (£34 for a t shirt!!).

It's warm here today - hope everyone has got nice weather.

lydiangel83 · 22/05/2017 15:33

@butterybollocks I was there on Friday and didn't see much, did get some jeans though

MrsGB2225 · 22/05/2017 16:48

DuRez hope you caught up on some well earned sleep last night!

The weather has been AMAZING today! I've been chilling in the garden all day with my son, perfect!

I'm not buying much for the baby until I find out the sex at the 20 week scan. Although I might try and have a scan at 16 weeks. My son is normally really cute at pointing at my belly and saying baby, but today he said 'baby gone' so that's not helped my anxiety!!!

Topsyloulou · 22/05/2017 18:20

I had my consultant appointment today. Not quite sure what I was expecting but felt quite flat after it. I was hoping he'd sign off an elcs for me but although he thinks I have valid reasons I still have to have a vbac consultation & he won't make a decision until 36 weeks. I'd really like a decision sooner than that. I might see if we can agree some sort of compromise earlier, i.e if I go into labour ahead of 40 weeks I'll try vbac but after that straight in for elcs. I just can't face going 2 weeks overdue again & then ending up with another emcs.

Currently sitting in the garden enjoying the evening sun. So pleased I washed all my summery maternity clothes yesterday. Just got to iron them all now!

theotherendofthesockportal · 22/05/2017 18:47

I feel like I am going mad, I haven't had a decent night of sleep for over 8 weeks now. I'm up at least 5 times every night for a wee :(

I sneezed today and felt all my muscles in my tummy twinge. Which panicked me for a moment,

I am eagerly awaiting feeling movement, I hope it's not to far away!

MrsGB2225 · 22/05/2017 19:02

sock - I get the muscle twitch sometimes when I sneeze as well or if I get up too quickly. Not sure why! This afternoon I thought I could feel something, but it's so early I'm sure it's just gas.

lydiangel83 · 22/05/2017 19:18

@theotherendofthesockportal how many weeks are you? I'm 16 and getting a lot of twinges including when I sneeze

I also need a wee every 30 mins during the day and at least twice every night!

Foggymist · 22/05/2017 19:22

Twinges when sneezing = round ligament pain.

DuRezidal · 22/05/2017 19:30

So at 12pm one of my mares decided to foal so that's more or less 48 hours without more than 4 hours sleep!!!

Hoping for no more foals for tonight!

theotherendofthesockportal · 22/05/2017 19:41

@lydiangel83 I'm 14.4 today. I had to pop in to my doctors today and the nurse said the sleeping should hopefully get better after 16 weeks.

It looks like we are all experiencing similar things here - twitching and ligament pains! It is reassuring to talk to all of you.

lydiangel83 · 22/05/2017 20:34

@Foggymist what about twinges when not sneezing!?

It is reassuring to know others are experiencing similar things :)

Foggymist · 22/05/2017 20:50

Usually also round ligament pain, the low down stabby ones in an arc kind of below and around your stomach. Google it, might be clearer than I'm describing it!

Any kind of stretching pains, twinges or minor cramps are par for the course, everything is growing and expanding in ways it has never done before! Imagine discovering a new muscle in your arm and then using it more and more every day, it would be pretty damn sore after a week.
