Which test did you go for Ginger? My clinic recommended Genesis Serenity this time as the turn around is 5 working days. I had Harmony with DD and that took over 2 weeks as blood samples were still sent to the States. Think there's a London lab now.

lydiangel83 · 24/05/2017 14:12

Where is your dress from @GingerHanna? I bought a load of stuff from JoJoMamaBebe and had to pay to return it all as none of it fitted! Was outraged that had to pay a fortune to return. Will have to stop trying to get away with online shopping and actually face the shops I think!

GingerHanna · 24/05/2017 14:28

@Zampa I had the NIPT but I am based in the Netherlands so it's all a bit different here - we've just started a three year trial over here on NIPT to see if it'll replace the combination test, so the results are taking longer than normal as it's only just started.

@lydiangel83 I've gone onto ebay and stuck with knit fabrics as the fit doesn't have to be perfect to be good enough. I have found that fitted maternity clothes are too much of a minefield. Love Isabella Oliver but only via ebay as otherwise it's just too expensive!

butterybollocks · 24/05/2017 14:46

I've been for the nipt test today and been told results should be back in 7 working days, which would be next Friday. We're going away for a few days this weekend and I've asked them not to call until we're back if it's bad news.

We had a scan with the test today - one very active baby! It was in an awkward position AGAIN so we have a slightly scary looking picture of it looking straight at us. We also had a look at a 3d scan as they were training a new sonographer (they don't offer them this early) - bit of a funny looking skinny thing at this stage.

I saw it move and felt it at the same time so I'm now convinced I can feel movement Smile

GingerHanna · 24/05/2017 17:13

I called you the hospital on the off chance they had the results in. They did, just arrived 50 minutes before my call!

All clear and everything as it should be. Yay!

Zampa · 24/05/2017 18:59

Great news Ginger!

MrsJB1987 · 24/05/2017 20:54

So my scan went really well 🤗 everything as it shud be and no change in due date! 25th November! 🤗🤗

izzibee29 · 24/05/2017 21:13

@MrsJB1987 a month till Xmas baby :) amazing. Love all the little milestones.

MrsJB1987 · 24/05/2017 21:15

@izzibee29 4 days after my 30th 🙈🙈

Foggymist · 24/05/2017 21:37

Wild 30th for you so Grin My son was born 5 weeks after my 30th, I got spoiled rotten by friends and family, it was fab!

izzibee29 · 24/05/2017 21:37

@MrsJB1987 cross fingers baby arrives a little early so you can have a lovely glass of wine on your bday or arrives a little later so you can be treated to a lovely birthday meal out!

stuckinny · 25/05/2017 11:56

Great news Ginger and MrsJB

I think I've got a wiggly worm! Baby was a lazy lump at the last scan a few weeks ago but as of last night has got ants in his pants. DP and I were both able to feel him moving around. DP said that he put his arm across me in the night and could feel him zooming to the other side.
I have a docs appointment today and should be able to hear his heartbeat. I'm wondering if he will be like DS and hide every time they put the wand to my belly. DS didn't like it at all.

MrsGB2225 · 25/05/2017 12:54

Great news ginger and congratulations mrsjb, it's such a relief to get the 12w all clear.
It's all starting to be very real!
I'm a bit nervous how it's going to to be with two. Yesterday I was trying to cook dinner and my son was having a massive tantrum and I just though about juggling a baby as well Confused

TreasureInMyTummy · 25/05/2017 14:40

Lovely to hear people are starting to get flutters.

When I went for scan they told me I had an anterior placenta so may take longer to feel anything. 15 weeks tomorrow and trying to be patient :)

butterybollocks · 25/05/2017 16:47

Great news mrsjb and ginger.

It's so hot here today! I've been at home all day so am wearing a maternity top... It's the first non floaty thing I've worn in a while and I'm surprised by how big my tummy is. I had to google to check it's normal!

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 25/05/2017 17:31

Lovely news Ginger and Mrsjb!

Are any of you suffering from pmt type mood swings? I am awfully moody at the moment bordering on crazy woman.

lydiangel83 · 25/05/2017 18:05

@KellyMarieTunstall2 omg yes so bad fee bit sorry for hubby to be truthful

Topsyloulou · 25/05/2017 18:41

Treasure I had an anterior placenta with DS & felt movement from 18 weeks last time. It starts as little pops, like bubbles popping. I've got an anterior placenta this time too & think I felt something very low down on Saturday at 15 weeks.

When I lie flat in bed I can see where the baby is lying, it fascinates me. I have a little chat to it every night before I go to sleep & then again as soon as I wake up.

Told my work team today. One of them had guessed from my bump! I'm switching to full on maternity wear from tomorrow, it's just too hot to be uncomfortable.

TreasureInMyTummy · 25/05/2017 23:41

Oh thanks topsy that really gives me hope I might feel something soon :)

izzibee29 · 26/05/2017 06:52

@KellyMarieTunstall2 well mood swings yes. But I'm also saying my filter is switched off. Basically anything I think will be said to my hubby and I am not toning it down like I used to anymore.

Foggymist · 26/05/2017 08:58

I keep having the worst dreams, all night every night. As if I wasn't tired enough already with a constantly waking toddler!

lydiangel83 · 26/05/2017 10:30

@Foggymist I woke up crying this morning as I had such a vivid dream where my mum was really mean to me :(

Hazandduck · 26/05/2017 11:17

I've had horrible dreams too, had one where my mum died (it was the night before her 60th birthday any way so I think I was dwelling on her getting older) I woke up sweating and in tears and had to text my dad to check on her lol!

Is anyone else still struggling with the headaches?? I had a respite for a few days but yesterday it came back, proper thumping if I move too quickly 😩

Hope everyone is enjoying the sun! Barbecue at our friends' tonight and I want to tell them purely because I don't want to wear another drapey ugly lumpy outfit in this heat lol, but OH doesnt want to yet.

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 26/05/2017 11:32

I'm having very vivid dreams, I dreamt my DS drowned in the bath and I woke my husband screaming.

I have daily headaches, starting late afternoon until I go to bed. I believe they are hormone related.

Izzibee my filter is off too, I'm pretty unkind to the DH, thankfully he has a thick skin!

We're off on our travels with our caravan now, enjoying the sunshine and the great outdoors.

Have a lovely bank holiday everyone

lydiangel83 · 26/05/2017 11:38

@Hazandduck yes I've been takin quite a bit of paracetamol as been getting a lot of headaches, I think related to tiredness.
