Thread #2, because apparently our "quiet" thread is rather busy! Grin

Wow kristin congratulations! Our second set of twins in the group! That's great they would tell you the sex.

GingerHanna · 15/05/2017 09:11

Wow Kristen! That's incredible. And scary. Grin

Please don't trust their sexing too much when it's only 60%... even at 90% certainty I've known it come out different (with friends, this is my first)!

Mummyagainmaybe · 15/05/2017 14:40

Remember it's 50% even before you have a scan to tell _

Congratulations on the double crop of babies :)

I appear to have a bump but I think I'm just really sensitive to relaxin and my muscles are still slack from my last pregnancy.

LonelyCooler · 15/05/2017 14:56

Congratulations Kristin how exciting :)

stuckinny · 15/05/2017 17:47

Wow Kristen. Congrats.

Just received some lovely news. My cousin is pregnant too. Just two weeks behind me.

Topsyloulou · 15/05/2017 18:19

Congratulations on all the lovely scan news.

I'm similar to you Foggy, firm bump like bit from the ribs down, then a little soft bit & then the actual bump. It's like a capital B! The actual bump is getting more prominent now, probably got a week or two left before it's obvious & I'll be in maternity wear properly. Started the big clear out of everything that no longer fits yesterday. I've got some maternity clothes left from last time but had borrowed a lot so will need to get a few more bits. Was also heavily pregnant in a very hot summer so haven't got any jumpers, coats etc. Keeping an eye on sales & eBay things.

Foggymist · 15/05/2017 19:35

Never heard of anyone else with same upper firmness early on as me Topsy, good to hear! All my friends always say it's really weird Grin

Hazandduck · 15/05/2017 21:22

Wow have just caught up, congratulations everyone on your healthy scans! I was so scared about mine, I was distraught today going in, but all was fine and we got to watch baby for about an hour because we had a trainee sonographer and baby wasn't playing ball so I had to keep jumping around, being tipped up, rocked side to side, coughing etc! Until they could take all the measurements. Measuring bang on what we thought, 14 weeks today, and they gave us 6 pics for free instead of the standard 3 that we are meant to pay for because I was such a snivelling mess lol. So happy. We got a freaky X Files style hand pic too!

Oh and I am only 14 weeks but last night I woke up at 3 for my nightly wee, and felt this weird little bubbles popping sensation low down in my tummy. It could be wind but it felt weird! I asked my sister if this was way too early but she said she felt the same at 12 weeks in both her pregnancies! X

theotherendofthesockportal · 15/05/2017 21:30

@Hazandduck you have such beautiful scan photos!

MrsGB2225 · 15/05/2017 21:36

Amazing photos haz! It's like the baby is saying 'oi, stop prodding!'Grin

Hazandduck · 15/05/2017 21:49

Ah thank you sock you handheld me last week during my meltdown! I'm very grateful :)

Thank you Mrs I can't stop staring at them, it kind of weirds me out to think of these tiny hands inside me! Haha it really was saying "talk to the hand!" X

theotherendofthesockportal · 15/05/2017 22:14

@Hazandduck anytime! That's what these forums are for 😊

Mummyagainmaybe · 15/05/2017 22:39

Lovely scan Haz x

Hazandduck · 16/05/2017 08:29

Thank you mummy :) Were there any other scans booked for this week? X

Foggymist · 16/05/2017 08:48

My friend is 17 weeks pregnant and has had no scan yet, unusual in this day and age :) Her 12 week scan appointment didn't happen for a variety of reasons depending on which you believe, and she refuses to pay for a private scan, so that's it! They said she'll "definitely" have one by 20 weeks but they said that about 14 weeks so who knows. This would only happen to her!!

Hazandduck · 16/05/2017 08:57

Oh Lordy your friend must be very chilled out Foggy I'd be freaking out! But I guess not that long ago they never did scans and healthy babies were still born...

Foggymist · 16/05/2017 09:14

Yes she's very chilled, I always say she lives in a bubble, it would never occur to her that something could go or be wrong. She's clearly progressing in terms of getting a bump etc, but I'd like to know how many heads, arms & legs were in there!

butterybollocks · 16/05/2017 09:16

Congratulations Kirtsten!
Haz, gorgeous pics. So glad it all went well for you.

I have my scan this afternoon. I'm bricking it. Been awake since 4am. Husband is just excited and doesn't understand why I'm nervous.

stuckinny · 16/05/2017 14:21

@Hazandduck what a brilliant picture.

Good luck @butterybollocks

DuRezidal · 16/05/2017 17:07

I've caved and booked a gender scan next weekend!

Hazandduck · 16/05/2017 17:08

Thanks buttery, best of luck for today hope it all goes well. My OH was the same, kept telling me to calm down! As if that ever makes someone calm down lol.

Thank you stuck :) xx

AGnu · 16/05/2017 17:21

The first time DH expressed excitement about this pregnancy was before the scan. I did tell him he shouldn't get too excited because it was definitely either a MMC or a tumour... Turns out, he was right! Grin

All went well at my scan today. Baby was a bit naughty and was in the wrong position, even after I went for a walk and a cold drink. So they couldn't do the nt measurement and we'll just have to have the blood tests. Had a bit of a wobble about that but have decided to try to relax and accept that what will be will be.
All looked healthy and as it should be. Dates have changed a bit - now 14 weeks with a due date of 14 Nov.

We have told our little girl who is so excited about being a big sister Grin
