Aha it really is a small world haz!
My sister and I were born there and my mum works in the ward that looks over the maternity unit. Next babe will be born in Salisbury so will be interesting to compare!
Renton Mewsey is lovely, generally the surrounding villages are!

bunty oh how exciting!! Congratulations twice over Grin

Foggymist · 11/05/2017 08:19

Congrats bunty, very exciting!

I'm still in the same 34D bras, last time all I had to do was put an extender on my normal bras (because my ribs like, exploded 4 inches wider), hoping it's the same again this time, very handy and cheap!

I've bought maternity jeans and one 2 pack of cute babygros in Tesco covered in little multicoloured triangles and hot air balloons, couldn't resist :)

theotherendofthesockportal · 11/05/2017 08:35

Mornings ladies, I have woken up early, managed to get some washing on the line and I am feeling nightly proud of my productivity.

My boobs haven't changed too much, my usual under wire bras have become uncomfortable so I have been wearing a sports bra. So comfortable!

I have a little wardrobe of maternity clothes. Which excites me no end! Haven't bought any baby stuff yet, but I do feel tempted!

Congratulations to all those who have had scans!

MrsGB2225 · 11/05/2017 09:00

Bounty twins is so exciting! Best friends for life!! Do you have extra scans now? Can you elect for a c section? Are you going to find out the sexes? Sorry so many questions!!
I've jumped straight from my 32c bras to my 34E that I had at the end last time. The 34E are probably a bit too big, but they are so comfortable I don't care.
Can't wait to have a proper bump to wear more fitted tops!

butterybollocks · 11/05/2017 09:13

Omg bunty congratulations! How exciting to have twins on this thread!

My boobs are gargantuan. They keep getting in the way of my arms. My bra is like a giant restraint device. I am wearing maternity jeans at home but they are a bit old and they fall down so still squeezing myself into my normal jeans most of the time. Just waiting for the scan and as long as all is OK I'll be going shopping!

AGnu · 11/05/2017 09:30

Congratulations Bunty! Have they told you whether it's one or two placentas etc yet? It must take a while to get your head around it if there's no twins in the family & completely unexpected!

For those discussing bras, have you seen the bra intervention threads? I went from a 34D to a 28FF & the change in comfort was unbelievable! I thought it was fine before. I'm currently wearing a 28E but I really need to measure myself & order a new bra - I suspect I'm at least a 30E, if not a 30F. I have terrible trouble finding bras to fit me though, now that I won't accept them sagging/bulging anywhere. It seems like as soon as I find a style I like they discontinue them & bring out a whole new range. One of these days I'm going to start a campaign over the ever-changing clothes ranges. I've even started buying multiples of things I like & storing them away until the first ones wear out. I just hate clothes shopping that much!

Wow how exciting bunty! Congratulations!!
MrsC I had a similar dream last night, my OH hired a hot little secretary and didn't tell me and I woke up feeling jealous and angry! I then dozed off again and had a dream that I had my scan but my OH wasn't there so I took my nephew (6) and my mum and dad's pet boxer, what a team haha. On the scan the lady saw two big black holes but couldn't see the baby because there were holes in the way, but I obviously had a little bit (my nephew) any way so it was fine. When I said he wasn't mine she wrote on my notes "Got very stroppy." Lol what is going on in my brain!!

Hazandduck · 11/05/2017 10:24

*little boy not bit!

stuckinny · 11/05/2017 12:18

AGnu do you measure yourself? I've always gone somewhere (usually when I've been home) but have been struggling to find somewhere that I'd trust.

My boobs have definitely grown but I don't want to spend a fortune on bras that I may only wear a short time. I have a feeling they are not done growing.

I'm going to search the bra intervention threads.

GingerHanna · 11/05/2017 12:18

Another boob sufferer here. I'm normally a 30G and am up just the one size so far. Already on the soft cup and starting to look for nursing options but they are few and far between. Will be easier if I go up to a 32 band as 32G is less rare than 30GG (which do not exist as nursing bras over here).

lydiangel83 · 11/05/2017 13:28

@MrsC1982 I've bought some maternity dresses on eBay as thought I'd rather have some posh brands for work / upcoming weddings and then will buy some more stuff from high street for casual. Just want to wear joggers and hoody most of the time lol! Not even looked at baby gro's etc yet, think I will wait a bit longer until I do that. I'm loving my fuller boobs, finally don't have a pancake chest, will probably go for bra fitting in a few weeks as think they are still growing!

butterybollocks · 11/05/2017 16:34

Stuckinny if you search mumsnet bra intervention you'll find instructions.
Most people seem to find they drop down a few back sizes...I actually went up. I blame DD for my apparently massive ribcage, she was breech and my ribs had to make way for her head!

Mutiny0nTheBunty · 11/05/2017 19:23

Thank you everybody Smile

Couldn't tell if a shared placenta so have a double appointment booked for the 20 week scan. If it's shared there will be scans every 2 weeks from then until delivery. If it's separate placentas there will be scans every 4 weeks.

Haven't thought about the birth really yet. Had been planning on working until 39 weeks and then a VB with all the drugs (mmmmm all the drugs) like last time. Now thinking that might not work this time...

I knew this baby (babies!) would be rebels, my OPKs said I hadn't even ovulated the month I conceived. Stealthy 😁

Def finding out the sex now. No more surprises are necessary!

My boobs are usually 28GG but grew to 32HH last time. God knows what will happen to them this time. I read a thread where someone says they measured 56 weeks by the time they gave birth 😩

Mummyagainmaybe · 11/05/2017 21:45

Congratulations on the twin pregnancy mutiny. The lady who had twins in my last antenatal group, I have to admit she got huge. But the videos of them interacting are the most adorable thing. They were singing together in seperate cots and babbling away to each other (not anything decipherable) way before our single babies were trying to communicate much. I'm actually a bit envious :)

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 12/05/2017 04:33

I have my scan this afternoon and can't get back to sleep after some crazy dreams.
Hopefully they won't actually spot a litter of puppies in there in real life! Confused

GingerHanna · 12/05/2017 05:31

Good luck to all the Friday scan ladies. Litter of puppies indeed Cuppa!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 12/05/2017 05:36

They looked very cute on the scan, but not quite what we were hoping for!
Think you're right that there's a few with scans today Hanna, good luck to everyone else having theirs

AGnu · 12/05/2017 10:27

Good luck with all the scans today! Don't think I ever got round to posting my pic from Monday so here it is while we're waiting for today's lot to start...!

MrsC1982 · 12/05/2017 10:51

So, what I am getting from these replies is this thread probably has the biggest boobs on Mumsnet Grin and they are only getting bigger! Brilliant!

Great Scan @AGnu

I actually slept a big last night, think I may have also sleepwalked to have a wee, as it's a very vague memory haha!

Mummyagainmaybe · 12/05/2017 10:53

What a lovely scan AGnu. Very clear x

theotherendofthesockportal · 12/05/2017 10:58

Lovely scan @AGnu. Looking forward to seeing all today's scans, good look ladies

Topsyloulou · 12/05/2017 11:15

Good luck with all the scans today. Looking forward to seeing lots of lovely pictures.

Anyone had any guesses on the gender from their scan photos using nub or skull theory?

I definitely don't have big boobs & sadly they're not getting any bigger. My ribs spread with DS & have never gone back in so I'm expecting my bras to get uncomfortable once they start spreading again. Ended up wearing crop tops by the end last time, only thing that was comfortable.

I'm another one with the vivid dreams / insomnia. I go to bed early because I'm still so exhausted but not getting extra sleep what with the getting up for a wee, the subsequent insomnia & then the vivid dreams when I finally do get back to sleep.

lydiangel83 · 12/05/2017 11:23

@Topsyloulou I'm the same, feel like I hardly sleep between wee, weird dreams and overactive anxious brain! And I know tiredness will go to a whole new level once baby arrives - I can't even imagine it!!

theotherendofthesockportal · 12/05/2017 11:50

@Topsyloulou I would love to know how to get a gender guess for my scan.

I had another dream last night that I was on a bus and the driver was deliberately driving the wrong way. Not a nice dream at all!

lydiangel83 · 12/05/2017 11:52

Does anyone know what appts you should be having between 12 and 20 week scans? I was expecting to see midwife but not heard from her, should I chase?
