Thread #2, because apparently our "quiet" thread is rather busy! Grin

If you're new, do add yourself to the list so we can all see where we're at!

Help yourself to a Biscuit, here's to another month of chatting!

@lydia I think you see them again at 16 weeks. At least mine has booked me in to see her then

TreasureInMyTummy · 12/05/2017 12:16

Hello good luck for scans today!

I had mIne yesterday and baby was wiggling around and waving arms around head like it was dancing. It also kept moving around the uterus so pics were a bit hard to do.

Feel relieved there is a little one in there! They also told me my placenta is at the front so I may not feel kicks until a bit later :( hopefully it may move

Another lovely scan there treasure x

Yeah, my midwife sresults me at 16 weeks too. First doppler sounding.

GingerHanna · 12/05/2017 12:54

16 week check up but there isn't usually a scan. Not until 20 weeks.

Foggymist · 12/05/2017 13:09

Lydia I'm in Ireland but just have gp check up at 16 weeks and back to hospital to have blood pressure checked at 20 weeks, usually I wouldn't be back in hospital until 24-26 weeks.

kimblesj · 12/05/2017 13:21

So here is our little bean! Due date still 21/11/17, it was jumping all over the place and had the right fluid level and cervix looked fine!
We are back at fetal medicine for a 16 week scan which is the point our waters broke last time (well 15w4days) so that's our next milestone.
She was really lovely and went out of her way to reassure us!
Big hurdle jumped and starting to feel a bit real Grin

The dates (weeks) should all be listed in your notes. I have to make the appointment for the community midwife for mine.

We had a textbook scan this morning, with a well behaved perfectly positioned baby. Hurrah! EDD has been moved forward 4 days.

Consultant on 31/05 ... Hoping to get some more scans via this route!

Mummyagainmaybe · 12/05/2017 14:09

Aww. Glad your scan went well Zampa.

Kimblesj, I had to wiggle so they could get my little bean's heartbeat. Funny when they're moving around in there. Lovely scan x

user1489352197 · 12/05/2017 14:49

finally got my scan - am 13 weeks, due 17/11/17, also had to do a bit of jiggling to wake the baby up but so amazing to see... and so relieved as was very worried about Downs but all looks good Grin.

I noticed there were a few Hampshire ladies out there (hello!) - I am too and also on my 3rd - first was born in Winchester, second in Ashurst birthing centre.

So lovely to see everyones scans coming through finally Smile.

Now the awkward task of telling work... has anyone else 'fessed up yet? how did it go? x

Lovely scan pics. It's exciting to see them isn't it.

User I had to tell HR before I even knew I was pregnant. We were being taken over and I needed to have some shots before I could be hired by the new company. Unfortunately they were shots I couldn't have if I was pregnant. I told my manager once I started to make appointments as I needed to leave early a lot. I work in a small team so me coming and going is noticeable. Told the team last week and the CEO (I have meetings with her regularly and thought she should hear from me rather than through the grapevine) yesterday. So far work has been great. To be honest, my entire department is on shakey ground with the takeover. I'm really hoping for a package at the end of October, probably won't happen but I can wish.

butterybollocks · 12/05/2017 16:21

Such lovely pics! Smile

My boss left today and she's the only person at work I've told - suddenly realised I should probably tell someone else! So I told my department director but for some reason I nearly burst into tears half way through?! Confused also told someone in HR as I have some potentially quite stressful stuff on the horizon and bit worried about having high blood pressure. Scan is on Tuesday so hopefully I'll be able to start telling people properly (without crying! Blush ) after that.

Bearest17 · 12/05/2017 16:27

Lovely scan pics! Had mine today, all good and saw a strong heartbeat, but discovered I'm only 10+3, instead of the 11+something I thought I was. So I need to have another scan in 2 weeks to do the more detailed scan. Puts my new due date at 5th December.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 12/05/2017 17:25

We got a wave! Actually 12+5 not the 12 I thought I was, so new EDD is 19th November

GingerHanna · 12/05/2017 20:03

User you are dead on the same as me!

So today I have accepted a new role internally! I only spoke to the talent manager in this area last Friday - knowing I would probably need to set something up from after my maternity leave as kinda expected not to have a role to come back to. Tuesday I had a call from now to be boss lady, met her yesterday to discuss and was offered then and there! No issues with me being away for four months and it's only a one year assignment so they must really want me! New boss lady is now talking with old boss lady to see how soon I can move over. Good news is that this is much closer to home so 30 minutes commuting a day rather than 90.

Mummyagainmaybe · 12/05/2017 20:41

More lovely scans.

That really good news henna. Happy for you x

Zampa · 12/05/2017 22:10

Congratulations Hanna.

For all those with new EDDs, remember to update the spreadsheet!

First day this week that I've not thrown up! Also the first day I've not taken my fish oil supplements. Coincidence maybe?

Here's my scan photo from earlier today ....

Scan went well (apart from stubborn baby lying in awkward position, had to go for a jump around), and we've been telling family and friends who are all really happy for us. Finally feels real (and slightly terrifying). Due date of 24th as expected (as we'd worked out when we conceived). Role on 12th July for next scan.

lydiangel83 · 12/05/2017 23:56

Congrats all on lovely scan pics :)

I was expecting to hear from Midwife re 16 or 18 wk follow up (not scan) so have chased and she said book in to see her via doctors. Every area is different isn't it?!

I told my immediate boss (based in USA) and she said tell the big boss next week. A bit nervous as they have just announced big restructuring and 20% headcount reduction, worried I will be a target if off work for a year :-/

lydiangel83 · 12/05/2017 23:57

Congrats on the role @GingerHanna that must be a good feeling :)

Mutiny0nTheBunty · 13/05/2017 06:13

Gorgeous scans everyone!

I am sure I felt movement yesterday! I can't believe I am now in the second trimester

Mummyagainmaybe · 13/05/2017 06:37

Loving the scans all. Mutiny, that is so cool.

Did the scan take a long time with them having to measure two of them?

lydiangel83 · 13/05/2017 06:48

@Mutiny0nTheBunty very awesome pic :) would have loved twins and have them strongly in my family but also very happy to have just the one :-)

I've just had to Google nub theory izzibee! Based on what I've read, I reckon you're right!

Without getting a protractor out, I can't tell on my picture. Too close to call.

Also izzibee, you might want to delete your post as the scan pic has your personal details at the top.
