Thread #2, because apparently our "quiet" thread is rather busy! Grin

If you're new, do add yourself to the list so we can all see where we're at!

Help yourself to a Biscuit, here's to another month of chatting!

All good here! It took ages for the sonographer to get the measurements because the baby wouldn't stay still! S/he is measuring exactly on dates & all seems fine! We told the DC who are pinging all over the house screeching about it! Grin My phone won't let me upload the picture at the moment - will try again later!

12W +3 and waving!! Very surreal. Happy and relieved that all looked ok. Will be sent genetic disorder risks through the post... always something to be anxious about!!

Good luck to others having scans, and sorry to those feeling rough... not fun at all.

Fantastic news AGnu, and even better that the kids have taken it so well.

Lovely picture tmc

Seeing them makes it suddenly very real doesn't it (although I'm back to thinking I can't possibly be pregnant as I'm back feeling like I did pre-pregnancy).

Good luck to everyone else who have scans this week.

Hopeful25 · 08/05/2017 18:31

Congrats agnu and tmc- I bet you are both relieved to see little ones happy and well inside .

Anyone waking up at odd hours of the night for no reason? For the past 4/5 days I've been waking up around four am ( not for loo or thirsty) and then it takes me a couple of hours to settle back to sleep.

kimblesj · 08/05/2017 21:09

Great news about scans!

I'm in the friday scan club too. I'm somewhere between 11-12 weeks. I have PCOS so can't be exact on dates.
We won't tell anyone until 16 weeks (my waters broke with ds4 at 15 weeks and 4 days) as 12 week scan doesn't feel a safe marker for us anymore.

In other news I have such bad motion sickness but otherwise nausea is pretty much gone. I pretty much can't eat any carb without my sugars going through the roof and my youngest (3 1/2) has had croup all weekend. I have been feeling pretty sorry for myself but my lovely husband cheered me up by decorating our bedroom and ordering new soft furnishes etc so I have somewhere to relax! It hasn't ever been finished since we moved in 6 years ago so it's so lovely to have somewhere nice to go at 8pm when shattered!

Springersprung · 08/05/2017 21:27

Congrats on the scans everyone. Mine's on the 19th when I'll be 12 + 1. Still can't shake the worry, as I have continued basically symptomless except exhaustion and in the last few days, extreme bloating. On Wednesday last week I had complete strangers asking when I was going on maternity leave and refusing to believe I was only 10 weeks! Of course, because of the bloating, everyone at work has guessed. Didn't really want it public so soon. Blush

hopeful I slept really badly last night - woke up randomly several times and each time it seemed to take a while to dawn that I was actually awake, which then delayed getting back to sleep!

Mummyagainmaybe · 08/05/2017 22:11

Congratulations on the healthy scans guys. Lovely pic tmc. Looking forward to seeing yours AGnu.

Healthy looking here too. Measuring 12 +1. Still to wait on the calculated risk but putting that to the back of my mind (said I'd get a phone call within 3 days if it's high risk otherwise postal result.) They think maybe a boy according to nub theory but the doctor really didn't want to guess and said not to buy anything based on that :)

Announced it on Facebook as have to blurt things of course. Am about as discreet as Carmen Miranda!

Aww all the scan photos are lovely.
My 12 week scan isn't until next Monday but I had an ultrasound of my gallbladder done today and the radiographer very nicely showed me a quick glimpse of the baby. It was wriggling around with its arms up by its head, so surreal seeing it. It makes it all so real, I'm so excited to see it again properly on Monday 😊
My nausea is finally getting better at 11+2, not needing the anti sickness meds as much. Although I did walk past a person with questionable body odour in Tesco yesterday and had to run to vom in the toilets ha
Hope everyone else starts feeling better soon too

MrsGB2225 · 09/05/2017 07:27

Congratulations on the gorgeous scans everyone! It's lovely to know the little bubas are doing well.

upforathird · 09/05/2017 08:16

Good morning everyone! A lurker here. Congrats on all the lovely healthy scans.

I'm 11+1 with baby number 3 and my scan is not until the end of next week. I've felt horribly nauseous and exhausted for weeks but over the last week started to feel much better nausea- wise. Hoping that's normal!! Starting to get paranoid that there'll be no heartbeat at the scan. Saw a heartbeat at 8+2 so that's a good sign but I just don't feel pregnant at the moment aaaaagh!

Anyone else feel like this?!

Hazandduck · 09/05/2017 08:46

Wow loving all the happy scans!! Congratulations everyone :) and good luck to those still waiting.
upforathird yes I 100% feel like that I am just preparing myself for the worst, even though I had a healthy scan at 10+4/5 I still won't let myself believe I could have a healthy baby. Fingers crossed for you too, my scan is Monday xx

Zampa · 09/05/2017 08:57

Congratulations on all the lovely scans!

My turn to be utterly foul to DP! He's doing much more around the house and virtually everything for DD but as he hadn't done the dishwasher or hung the washing up, I had a go. Hopefully he accepted my apology!

Any tips on hydration? I'm not drinking enough as I hate the taste of anything except fruit juice (especially water!). That's, of course, very sugary so don't want to drink it all day. Any alternative suggestions?! Please help!

Hazandduck · 09/05/2017 11:59

I had a flavoured fizzy water the other day and it was like nectar! Just a Sainsbury's own I think, raspberry and strawberry flavour I think, I could not stop guzzling it! I think they are lower in sugars than fruit juice, but I think at the moment it is more important to be hydrated than worry about sugar any way! I love putting fruit in icy water any way, but if you're not enjoying water at the moment that may not be for you? I bought 4 different squash flavours with my shop last week I am just craving really cold squash! I normally am a plain water girl lol.
I am glad it's not me that's been a Mega Beast to the mister haha! I'm sure they don't mind and would rather tolerate our mood swings than be growing a little human themselves 😀

theotherendofthesockportal · 09/05/2017 12:00

Great news Sock! Lovely pic. They've said that's my due date too 😊

Mummyagainmaybe · 09/05/2017 13:41

Lovely scan sock

Such a relief to see them, isn't it?

Zampa · 09/05/2017 14:08

Thanks Haz. I now have some raspberry and apple still water and it is extremely palatable.

stuckinny · 09/05/2017 14:34

Lovely scan pics.

Upforathird, I still don't feel pregnant at all (13+4) I had a scan last week and to be honest if I hadn't been laying there watching the screen I would never have believed it.

I find drinking hot water much easier than cold. I often add squash too (I brought a bunch back on my last trip after discovering the squash'd bottles). The flavoured waters are good too.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 09/05/2017 15:14

Lovely scans all!
I can hardly wait for mine on Friday.

However, I found out an hour ago that five people in my team are being made redundant. I haven't told HR yet that I'm pregnant and was going to wait until next week but now I don't know if I should go and say something or wait even longer Sad

Mummyagainmaybe · 09/05/2017 15:26

I'd wait Cuppa if there's no pregnancy safety concerns. Would love to say pregnancy shouldn't affect it but... Do you have any idea how long it will take for them to decide on the cuts?

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 09/05/2017 15:28

That's what I'm thinking.
Apparently they have already approached certain people and made them an offer (and I'm not one of them) so I suppose it's just seeing how long it takes them to accept/reject

theotherendofthesockportal · 09/05/2017 15:35

@NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown your legal rights are slightly different when you are pregnant. Pop along to the ACAS website or call them.

I went through this in December, my reunion representive told me that your employee has to proof that you haven't been treated unfairly due to pregnancy.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 09/05/2017 15:51

Thanks sockportal Smile
I'm going to have a good look tonight

butterybollocks · 09/05/2017 16:09

Loving all the scan pics.
Am also in the nervously waiting for the scan and struggling to believe there's anything in there clan (even though I had a scan at 7 weeks).

Got my blood test results back today for slapped cheek (aka parvovirus) and thankfully I'm immune so no need to worry about that anymore. However I asked the midwife to check my blood pressure yesterday as it was high at booking in, I really thought that would be a blip but it's still high. So I need to cut my salt intake and try to reduce my stress levels (easier said than done!).

GingerHanna · 09/05/2017 16:17

So my little fecker was lying with 'his' back and bum up! Not very good pics but we had a good look and everything is looking as it should be. Measuring dead on 12+4 so my guess date of 17/11 remains unchanged.
