Thread #2, because apparently our "quiet" thread is rather busy! Grin

If you're new, do add yourself to the list so we can all see where we're at!

Help yourself to a Biscuit, here's to another month of chatting!

Mrs I know I was surprised too as last year I had to book in at the doctors! I think this midwife is more old school lol. I'm very pleased either way! She was originally coming round on saturday but then called me back and said let's do Friday because you really do need to get your scan organised ASAP.
I agree on the planning outfits atm. Work is the worst! My trousers just feel uncomfortable on my tummy. I just want to basically lie down all day. At least when you have a lovely bump you can wear tight dresses and show it off, right now I just look flabby and like I've over indulged on the cakes! X

Hazandduck · 24/04/2017 13:10

Say do you drink a lot before bed? I have been waking up for weeks now at 3am desperate to pee, last night I dreamt I was on the loo which i haven't had since I was a child about to wet the bed! I had to run to the loo Blush
Have you had booking in? I think they should test your urine for any infections etc x

Hazandduck · 24/04/2017 13:25

Sock sorry not say! Grin

Foggymist · 24/04/2017 13:31

I'm getting up once a night to pee, the most I was ever getting up in my last pregnancy was twice a night but apparently my kidneys had low output because I had pre eclampsia related fluid retention. Before pregnancy did you get up at night to pee?

MrsGB2225 · 24/04/2017 13:37

Sock I go once or twice a night, more if I drink a lot before bed. I'm starting to get bruises on my shins from walking into the bed at night!

Zampa · 24/04/2017 13:58

MrsGB I recently got a dress for a wedding from Zara that hides a tummy quite well. It's a shirt dress with a knot at the waist (tummy button level) that disguised my pot belly well!

theotherendofthesockportal · 24/04/2017 14:48

I've text my midwife, I think 5 times a night is excessive and I would rather be checked out.

Hazandduck · 24/04/2017 14:50

Yes good shout. Do you know if you have a tilted uterus? They say that can make it difficult to empty your bladder fully hence needing to go more x

butterybollocks · 24/04/2017 15:50

I have to go once or twice a night. Not looking forward to that when camping this summer.

We have no hot water at the moment as our boiler is broken. It's driving me bonkers as I just want a nice warm shower! It's been a week so far. If it can't be fixed tomorrow, it can't be fixed but boiler man can't do a replacement until the end of June!

Hazandduck · 24/04/2017 16:12

Oh god what a nightmare buttery! Our boiler is as old as our house (30 years!) and we are just waiting for the day it breaks down. My OH is a plumber and heating engineer though so could do us a replacement, but he is always so busy I expect it wouldn't be a priority to him lol, and it would still cost us a lot of money that we can't afford. Fingers crossed it gets fixed soon for you x

Foggymist · 24/04/2017 16:55

Buttery have you friends or family nearby that you can go to for a shower, or a gym? We have an electric and a separate tank shower so hopefully never have this problem, I lurve hot showers!

I was exhausted yesterday after spending all day in my pjs, it was just a build up of exhaustion from the week. Slept 12 hours (except for 1hr awake at 5am after pee trip), I'm at work now and still tired and nauseous! The joys.

10 weeks today :)

lydiangel83 · 24/04/2017 17:36

I am awake for hours during the night and need a pee once a night at least. Can't imagine how bad it'll be when baby gets bigger (currently only 9+2!)

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 24/04/2017 17:48

@butterybollocks, I can sympathise.
We're living in a building site at the moment, so no hot water, no kitchen, no running water downstairs, and dust everywhere! It's driving me mad.
One more month to go until I get my house back!

theotherendofthesockportal · 24/04/2017 18:05

@Hazandduck I don't know if I've got a tilted uterus but I do have a tilted cervix.

I tried phoning the midwife after I text her, her phone was off so I've left a voicemail. Hopefully she will get back to me tomorrow

MrsC1982 · 24/04/2017 18:10

Sorry ladies, I've been quiet. In fact I've had 10 days off work on annual leave and have basically been eating crisps and watching vintage TOWIE... Hmm

I've given in and booked a private scan for Saturday when I'll be 9 + 4... a mix of impatience plus one of my friends telling his foghorn of a mother so half my tiny (and very gossip starved) village will know soon. Would rather tell me friends before the grapevine does and I'm not doing that before I've at least had a scan to check everything is ticking along as it should be...

butterybollocks · 24/04/2017 18:16

Oh nicecuppa I feel your pain, we've done some fairly major work over the past few years and there is always so much more dust than you think is possible.

We've been going to my mum's for a bath but she doesn't have a shower and only has enough hot water for one bath every 12 hours ish! We do have some friends round the corner and I think my husband is heading there for a shower tomorrow if the boiler isn't fixed. It's just a pain as I'm exhausted and no one knows so trekking about for baths is just one more thing to do!

MrsC sounds like a good ten days!

Bearest17 · 24/04/2017 18:42

Sock - be interested to know what your midwife says. Some nights I'm up 4-5 times!

9+2 today and still so tired all the time. Not had a sickness but I'm nauseous most of the day especially with certain smells. Hurry up 12 weeks!

MrsC1982 · 24/04/2017 18:50

Fabulous 10 days buttery smashed through 11 out of 17 series available on Netflix ( although mostly due to pregnancy insomnia), massively unproductive and I bloody loved it... sadly it's back to work for me tomorrow but fx scan being ok only till end of October Grin

theotherendofthesockportal · 24/04/2017 19:28

@Bearest17 I'm used to being up 1/2 times a night as I have a scarred bladder caused by a vitamin b12 deficiency. I thought 5 times was excessive, I checked by Fitbit to make sure it wasn't my imagination. The constant up and down is leaving me exhausted so much so my eyes actually hurt.

I will give you and update when I talk to the midwife.

baled · 24/04/2017 23:16

Is anyone else starting to show already?? I'm just over 10 weeks and was back to work after a two week break day today...have had scan so told a few and they all laughed and said they'd already guessed. ShockConfused

Foggymist · 24/04/2017 23:51

Baled I've just chubby around the middle from all the eating, so hungry all the time! Not enough that anybody would notice yet though thankfully. I'd say another two weeks and there'll be no denying it though.

lydiangel83 · 25/04/2017 01:29

I'm just getting fatter all over but wouldn't say I have a bump yet I think too early still (9+3)

MrsC1982 · 25/04/2017 03:17

I'm "bumpy" enough for me and the husband to notice but no one else... changes deffo starting though

Hazandduck · 25/04/2017 06:21

I've not got a bump and can still suck my tummy in but it is definitely more round! And I find jeans buttoned up really uncomfortable but I don't know if that is psychological and I just don't like anything digging in! I'm one of those people that wears lots of baggy shirts and big jumpers so I don't think people will have noticed but it is my boobs that just look ungainly in everything now! Ugh and I am definitely feeling more queasy and knackered this last week or so. People have started to comment on how tired I look! 🙄 Can't wait to have a big old bump :)

Hazandduck · 25/04/2017 06:28

Also just wondering guys have you all had your scan dates through yet? Does anyone feel like time is actually going quite quickly?! Going to be exciting when the 12 week scans start on this thread :) x
