TheGrumpySquirrel · 16/04/2017 08:33

I have Ovia pregnancy app too. 6wks today and blueberry sized apparently! Feeling absolutely exhausted - had to sit down for a rest after blow drying my hair...

Marie90 · 16/04/2017 08:45

Grumpy i felt the same yesterday! I had two naps in the day and was still in bed by 9pm last night! I'm 6 weeks tomorrow.

Chamonix1 · 16/04/2017 08:51

This is the lovely photo my app gave me this morning on day 48. 6 weeks 6 days.

Morning all!! Welcome glittery and congratulations!!!

I'm loving the pregnancy apps. I check them every morning first thing and love seeing the updates ♥️ today I was told that Bug's feet are forming 😍

Had to relent and go bra shopping yesterday. Really wanted to wait until pregnancy confirmed at the scan but my boobs are in no doubt of my pregnancy and I've been so uncomfortable. I ended up buying a nursing bra - purely because it was the best fit - but I feel kind of weird about it 😯

TootsyBella84 · 16/04/2017 09:53

Ahh peanut is cute Marie!

Mine is nicknamed Rainbow 🌈 I'm hoping it lives up to it's name 😍

Welcome glittery

Hope everyone is good today x

glastogal · 16/04/2017 10:07

Rainbow is a lovely nickname tootsy ♥️

LapinR0se · 16/04/2017 10:38

Our is called Beanie Boo!

Beardy1 · 16/04/2017 10:42

bluebell I definetly think you should. Sometimes you have to fight a bit to get what you need. I'm sure they hate pregnant women the people that have to book appointments!!
Also welcome to the sore boob club. Mine are so sore and my nipples have definetly grown too. My dh is fascinated!!

Lixon · 16/04/2017 10:43

Welcome glittery and cream eggs!

I'm loving all the weird prawn/dinosaur pictures!!

Battenberg so sorry to hear you're feeling down. I had to tfmr in February at 14 weeks following a diagnosis of Edwards's syndrome. it almost certainly doesn't make sense to dwell on anything now until you know more but if you want to ask any questions about the testing (I went straight to cvs from 12 week scan, they didn't take blood/wouldn't advise harmony given indicators) or anything else then please feel free to message me. I'm a big believer in things working out in the end so I'm sure something will work out for the honeymoon - if you can still fly you'd still have the most amazing time without rides and suggestion about postponing bits separately is also s good one. Thinking of you.

Mrsbluebell good luck on phoning! I get referred independently for the midwife and scan with 2 separate letters so had them close together last time but will see a midwife earlier this time. When they do refer from midwives there's always only a short window to take the right measurements so I'm sure they would squeeze you in no problem but hopefully they might move it forwards/give you a scan date now..

fishfingerSarnies · 16/04/2017 10:54

I'm so impatient I want some appointments booked. Waiting until 6 weeks to let GP know though although last pregnancy I was vomiting and passing out by 5.5 weeks so went to gp then. Only just 4 weeks today time going slowly.

Chamonix1 · 16/04/2017 10:58

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and referred myself a couple of weeks back and have heard nothing from anyone!
I'm meant to hear from the dr at the end of the month re seeing man endocrinologist through my pregnancy but by then I'll be 9 weeks.
Not really sure whether waiting until then is okay or if I should contact the dr/midwife again about booking in?
Second time I've done this and can not remember anything from before Grin

Chamonix1 · 16/04/2017 10:59

An endocrinologist*
Couldn't care less if it's a man or not ha!

MaryShelley1818 · 16/04/2017 11:23

Hi everyone! Can I join please?

Found out I am pregnant with my first baby a week and a half ago on cycle number 6. Will be baby number 1 for both me and DP.

I'm currently 5+1 with EDD 16th December. Scan and NIPT tests booked for 23rd May.

We moved house the day we found out into our first bought home together (been renting 6mths) so no GP yet or MW app as just filled in the new GP registration forms today.

So far we've told family and close friends, and bought a couple of tiny toys in Mothercare yesterday as couldn't help ourselves! Lol!
DP is ecstatic and so excited! It's currently all we talk about! Hahahaha!
I'm so bloated on an evening I already can't wear my jeans as my tummy sticks out so much! Had a lot of cramping but no spotting. Boobs are bigger and a little sore but apart from peeing more I feel 'normal'.

Mammabear31 · 16/04/2017 11:41

Hi everyone, can I join? Finally got my BFP this week after over a year of trying for DC2. Currently 4w 2 days, EDD 22nd Dec according to babycentre. So excited about a Christmas baby but trying not to get too excited....impossible at the moment!

Also a quick hint - just been on the Next clearance and they have LOADS of gender neutral clothing/accessories in the sale....just saying....Grin

Mammabear31 · 16/04/2017 11:43

Meant to say gender neutral Christmas clothes/accessories. Got all this for £33!!!!

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg keep talking to us.

I'm out for my friends wedding party on Saturday and they all know we've been trying so I can't even be bothered to attempt to hide it.

Anyone have any tips to help prevent constipation? I had it badly last time (was genuinely worse than giving birth). I probably need to eat healthier. A big double shot latte is my normal trick but I am trying to make at least a token attempt to cut down my caffeine intake.

Big wave to the new joiners

TootsyBella84 · 16/04/2017 12:48

Welcome to the new ladies!

Ah I love the little pudding Sleepsuit Mammabear31
If all is well at my scan I could be tempted. So cute

glitteryvibes · 16/04/2017 12:56

mammabear snap on the edd, 22nd Dec. Here as well.

I have access to a scanner at work and it's going to be so hard not to use it, we also have a Doppler...someone talk me away from scanning myself in a couple of weeks!!

I have evening nausea, sore boobs(although not as sore today which obviously made me panic), and not so much overwhelming fatigue but more if i do much I feel like having a nap after.

sami fruit smoothies? With added bran??

SamiZayn · 16/04/2017 12:58

What do you do glittery? I assume something medical related rather than randomly having a doppler at work haha.

Fruit smoothie is a good shout

glitteryvibes · 16/04/2017 13:10

Ha yeah I'm at a vets sami, so am going to have to tell work people and boss pretty soon otherwise I will just start to look like I'm being an awkward cow not doing certain things and running from the X-ray machine....

glastogal · 16/04/2017 13:18

I suffer badly too sami - make sure you are drinking lots of water, plenty of fruit and veg and maybe some prunes? I also try to have bran muffins semi regularly.

Mrsbluebell17 · 16/04/2017 14:21

Thanks beardy and lixon for the reassurance.

Mrsbluebell17 · 16/04/2017 14:31

Welcome to all the newbies.

Mary you sound very similar to me, this was our 6th cycle I think, and first baby for both DH and myself. I'm 5+3 today so EDD 14th December. I'm also bloated and sore boobs. Need to wee a lot and feel really tired very suddenly. And hungry suddenly too.

Fingers crossed for lots of exciting and good news on this thread.

leighdinglady · 16/04/2017 14:56

Hi everyone. Hope it's ok to join.

We just found out last week that i'm pregnant!! EDD 21st December.

We're so, so thrilled, as we lost out first pregnancy in January. We were 14 weeks along and found out at the 12 week scan that the baby wouldn't make it. Edwards Syndrome. Thankfully further tests showed it wasn't genetically passed from us, so no more likely to happen to us than anyone else next time.

It took us so long TTC that pregnancy that we can't really believe we've caught so quickly this time around! We have very mixed feelings; so so happy and excited, but also extremely anxious and also a bit guilty(?) to the first baby. Like we've 'moved on' when in reality we haven't at all.

I'm only just over 4 weeks, but feel anxious because, unlike last time, my boobs don't hurt at all?!? They were agony by now last time. how's everyone else boobs feeling at 4 weeks??
