Tiptop unfortunately I work from home and my job involves having my customers in my home every day, so it has to be scrupulously clean and tidy. I don't feel too awful at the moment but regardless I've got to keep the place tidy so that keeps me in check. There just won't be the option to lie down and feel awful Grin

Zaberwocky · 22/04/2017 11:57

DH is a twat.

He's lost the bedroom remote.

This is a divorceable offence isn't it!? What am I supposed to watch when I'm driven to bed at 5:30!?

MaryShelley1818 · 22/04/2017 12:03

Zaberwocky!! 😆😂😆😂

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/04/2017 12:11

Zaber hahahahaha.... oh no!

Grow congrats and good luck for everything.

I have a question for those of you with a company car...... I'm really worried that my company car tax is going to eat up most of my SMP. Any advice or thoughts?

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 22/04/2017 12:23

😭😭😭 a few weeks ago I bought a new pair of dungas. I can't even do them up today and I am devo and terrified I won't fit into my wedding dress on Monday.
What the fuck am I going to do?!!
The wedding is in 30 days!!!

60percentbanana · 22/04/2017 12:25

Bluebell presumably whilst you'll still have the car as a taxable benefit, you'll also have a much lower income for the period that you're on smp. If you keep the car your tax code won't need to be adjusted and when you begin leave payroll will adjust to the lower income automatically.

If I recall, very little changed in the early 90% weeks, then I had a few months on smp at the end of the tax year where I received a tax rebate as earlier payments meant I'd paid too much for the year when the pay drop was taken into account, then I received the correct (minimally taxed) amount in the new tax year. Can you ask your employer for a forecast once they have been told? Most should easily be able to provide this.

ChocolateRaisin · 22/04/2017 12:26

Hi everyone, has anyone's nausea just disappeared at all? I'm 7 weeks today, felt awful yesterday, really rested and got a lot of sleep. Today I had very mild nausea this morning, now I feel fine... I'm still hungry, just not nauseous. It's worrying me...

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/04/2017 12:30

Feed hopefully it's just excessive bloating today? Is it possible to have your dress refitted again in about two weeks for your peace of mind? Enjoy the build up to your wedding. Ours was last summer and it feels like a distant but very happy memory!

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/04/2017 12:31

60 thank you, that's helpful. I'm JUST in the 40% tax bracket at the moment so it looks like I'm getting charged based on that for my car at the moment, so hopefully once it gets readjusted when earnings have lowered them my taxable amount for my car will drop to the 20% remit too?!

Stupid question alert - is SMP subject to both tax and NI?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 22/04/2017 12:37

Chocolate I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and feel great. I wasn't really nauseous just off food and tired. But appetite is back, I'm much less tired and sleeping really well. I think the placenta takes over a bit more now so that could be why our hormones are not as crazy.

Just had my booking in appointment with the home birth team! Really excited about having this baby at home :)

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 22/04/2017 12:42

@Mrsbluebell17 I can't stop crying!! I hope so. I didn't think I'd noticed that much of a difference, but now I'm really worried. DP, just says don't worry we'll sort you out an emergency dress if they can't alter it, please don't worry, you're pregnant, not fat, you're beautiful, you're lovely.

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/04/2017 12:44

Feed I can imagine how much you're worrying but honestly I know we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to have the most perfect dress but on the day I can reassure you I couldn't have cared less what I was wearing. Sounds like you have a very supportive DP. Trust in him. Everything will work out.

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 22/04/2017 12:46

@Mrsbluebell17 it's only a tiny wedding, 35 people, but we've been together 7 years so just thought we'd get on with it.
I'm just so upset about it.
Ridiculous really.
I have my fitting Monday so we will find out then!

leighdinglady · 22/04/2017 12:55

batternburg don't worry bridal shops have this all the time and can work wonders with a sewing machine! Even if it is a little snug, it won't be by much

Wonderfulstuff · 22/04/2017 13:04

battenburg my cousin had this problem and the dress shop were great. Don't worry, they will have seen it all before and will have some tricks up their sleeves.

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 22/04/2017 13:19

My dress was a sample off the peg so the bridal shop have nothing to do with it anymore. It's an independent seamstress.
I think if I doesn't fit I'll get a high street dress and sell both on eBay when I'm done!

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/04/2017 13:43

Feed I got an independent seamstress to alter it right up until a week before, even down to cutting a fringing off that I'd changed my mind on. It's nerve wracking having it altered that close but it's worth it if you want the changes.

How's the rest of the planning going?

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/04/2017 13:44

I've totally given up on my report for now and am going to try and nap on the sofa whilst DH is at his dads, and then carry on with my report when I've got some more energy in an hour or so.

LapinR0se · 22/04/2017 13:47

I am wrangling my 2.5 year old solo while my DH is at a wine tasting lunch. Been awake since 5.15 and am wrecked.
Totally fine for her to have a peppa marathon right? Blush

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 22/04/2017 14:13

All done!
Just DHs outfit to get.
He's only wearing chinos and a shirt so no biggie.
Very relaxed Disney themed 😍

glitteryvibes · 22/04/2017 14:24

Trying to finish up some work due tomorrow whilst also shove down some lunch and 2 mouthfuls later and my appetites all gone and I can't quite decide if it's trying to make a reappearance or not.

About one third of the work left to do, think I can complete it in an hour if the topic for the last question didn't mention anything about vomiting but obviously it does so think I might have to take a break...

MaryShelley1818 · 22/04/2017 14:31

Mmmmm just had lunch...hotdogs in soft white buns with loads of butter and salt on!
I'm really craving salty things at the moment 😋

Chamonix1 · 22/04/2017 14:33

Omg. Hot dogs.

TootsyBella84 · 22/04/2017 14:37

Mary I'm exactly the same with salt just now! Last night for dinner we had hot dogs on brioche rolls and really salty fries. Then I had ready salted crisps last night! Dh has been shopping today and got me salted pistachios, he figures that's got to be better than crisps 😂 they are hitting the spot for now!

TipTop333 · 22/04/2017 14:47

Yes, salt. And mmmmmm vinegar. I added jalapeños to my pasta at lunch because I wanted a vinegar kick. The vinegary gherkins were my drive behind my subway lunch yesterday. Now I want more vinegar.
