Newbie here! Due my second DC end of Dec Smile have got MW booked for 18th May. Hi all!

Luxecalmeetvolupte · 21/04/2017 23:11

Hi all, I'm expecting DC2 somewhere between 25 and 28 Dec according to various due date calculators so around 4+2 I guess! Got BFP on Monday :) Cycles have been between 25 and 28 days long since coming off pill in October, ironically. Will probably have elective CS though so a week or so before that. Midwife round here essentially won't even book you an appt until you get to 8 weeks, this makes me v nervous indeed... Also was horribly sick in last pregnancy until about 27 weeks (though not HG mercifully) so anticipating more of the same :(

MaryShelley1818 · 22/04/2017 05:00

I got it!!!!!
Couldn't sleep so went to do it and bingo!

Ah, that's great, Mary! That must feel good. I think I might follow your lead, and I would be very happy to see a 2-3 today.

I'm seriously over seeing 3.43 am on the alarm clock when I wake up now! Same exact minute every day... Aren't bodies weird and wonderful? Hmm

Queen0ffaff · 22/04/2017 05:17

Welcome and congratulations, Sushi, Luxe and ExPresidents!

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/04/2017 05:30

Welcome newbies! Congrats!

Mary yay I'm so pleased for you. I've got a desire to do another if only it kept showing you further progression for each week hehe.

Queen I know that feeling, I wake up at silly o'clock every day now.

My chin is so spotty. It hurts and looks terrible. Hopefully it'll clear up soon.

Don't feel sick so far this morning but hoping to go back to sleep for a while as I have some work to do today including a report to work on.

isitwinetimeyet16 · 22/04/2017 06:39

Yay @MaryShelley1818 that's fab!!!

I am exactly the same with time...mine is 5.38 every morning and no more sleep for me!

leighdinglady · 22/04/2017 07:08

bluebell I'm the same with spots. I look like a teenager! I have such clear skin normally

Marie90 · 22/04/2017 07:12

Congrats on your 3+ Mary! It must be such a relief!

And welcome presidents & luxe! fingers crossed your sickness isn't so bad this time!

We're so close to the end of December already!!

Queen0ffaff · 22/04/2017 07:14

It gets old quickly, doesn't it, isit? At least we all have company in the early hours!

Still a pretty faint line on the ic - maybe the tiniest bit darker - but I'm happier to see this digital this morning Smile

Ah, Bluebell, my spots have spots now! I will be trowelling on the concealer tonight.

Mrsbluebell17 · 22/04/2017 07:46

Glad you got the next step of progression too queen.

Yeah the spots are horrible. Seriously painful.

Thewinedidit · 22/04/2017 07:47

marie I laughed at your positivity there. December feels a million miles away right now. I'm sitting trying to get the energy and motivation to go to work. I know it's going to be a hectic day and the nausea is bad. Is it odd I really quite like feeling sick? It reminds me that little bean is in there.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 22/04/2017 07:49

I hate POAS and how expensive CB digitals are so won't be doing it again. I mainly get them because often when people post on MN everyone else is saying 'it's definitely a line' and I'm like 'where? I see a control line and nothing else!' I like the security of seeing the word!
I'm getting a little stressed as I approach 5 weeks. That's when my bleeding started last time.
Also, last time (so two months ago) I filled in the midwife referral form and heard back the next day. I filled the form in on Wednesday and haven't heard from the yet. I know it's not a huge difference and there's loads of time but I'd really like to arrange my appointments on my days off and we have some holidays coming up.
I was meant to be at a wedding yesterday. Sent DH on his own as didn't want any questions. It was one of DH's football friends and they know I love a nice ale. So I was 'ill'. Had a lovely early night and now up with DS (19 months)

MaryShelley1818 · 22/04/2017 07:54

Thank you so much Queen, MrsBluebell, winetime and Marie!!

And yay for your CB Digi result too Queen, that's fab!! Xx

I'm feeling lots of nausea this morning, sore boobs, very sharp pain to right of my belly button when I move and have some spots under my jaw line. Welcome to week 6! Lol 😆

Chamonix1 · 22/04/2017 08:03

Morning everyone, I see some of you have been very much awake since 5am! Actually came on to moan about my daughters swim lesson starting at 8am on a Saturday and having to wake up so early for a weekend! I shall of course refrain Grin
Hope some of you managed to get good rest last night, I was very comfortable and desperate to sleep but my body had other ideas!
Currently set in an empty cafe in a sports centre trying not to throw up whilst dd swims Smile

MaryShelley1818 · 22/04/2017 08:12

4.45am for me Chamonix! I've suffered from Insomnia for years though and some days it's as early as 2-3am!
I thought being pregnant might make me sleep more but I've been just as bad if not worse!
Enjoy your Saturday x

GadgetgirlUk · 22/04/2017 08:25

Morning lovelies! Had my dr appointment on Thursday, was surprised he didn't want to do a test, he just referred me straight to a MW, which he reckons will take 2-3w. That means I'll be 10w by my first appt- is that normal? Also am flying solo this weekend as DH is away on a stag do - slightly worried they'll break him, lol! X

BirdBrain85 · 22/04/2017 08:26

I'm with you all on the sleep thing, I wake up a lot more since getting pregnant - but (not to make you all jealous) I'm one of those people who can drift back off haha. It's still tiring though!

So, I'm seven weeks today Smile I'm sure one of you said that was an achievement as your statistics improve again ... right? I sure
hope so. Still find it all a bit surreal, even though I had fertility treatment so baby couldn't have been more planned, but I never thought it would happen so fast! So grateful though and enjoying every awful symptom (maybe not the spots).

weasledee · 22/04/2017 08:32

Ugh didn't get the cb digital result I was hoping for :(
I got 1-2 and should have been 2-3! I know it's not much difference but I'm now stressed!! Need reassuring stories! :)

BirdBrain85 · 22/04/2017 08:47

Weasle try not to worry xx it can't give an accurate picture of your levels because the HCG takes longer to reach your urine (the only accurate test really is a blood test). Plus all our levels are different even when we're at the same stage of pregnancy, "normal" has a lot of variations.

TootsyBella84 · 22/04/2017 08:54

6 weeks today! My baby Dinosaur has turned in to a baby Dinosaur with arm/leg buds and a little heartbeat. At least here is hoping! 10 sleeps until my scan and it can't come quick enough.
I'm trying to take all this sickness as a good sign but I felt sick with both mc so trying not to get my hopes up!

Hello newbies! People seem to come in waves, I need to try and update the list..

Bleugh waking up in the night doesn't sound fun, I'm the opposite and am sleeping like a log! It does take a while to get comfortable and fall asleep but once I'm there I need dragged out in the morning 😂

Weasle, I know that's not a nice feeling. Mine seemed to be behind, too, and pretty much everything that Bird has just said is what was comforting me (DH had a good Google for me and came up with pretty much that answer, too). I kind of do think those digital tests are an unnecessary source of worry for a lot of people in the early stages, really. Anyway, I think I would have been more impressed with myself if I'd just left it then and trusted that, but as I had another one in the cupboard, I did go for it and it has now gone up to 2-3, just later than you would expect. I know it's easy to say, but I really think don't put too much store in their accuracy.

weasledee · 22/04/2017 09:05

Thanks for the replies ladies, I've been googling all morning and I do feel a bit better. Early pregnancy is such a rollercoaster! :)

Queen0ffaff · 22/04/2017 09:07

Oh my goodness, that little dinosaur is pretty cute, Tootsy! Sorry about all the sickness, sounds rough - so far only one day of that here, possibly at implantation, I think. Does anyone know if it's true that morning sickness is genetic to an extent? My sister was saying that yesterday, in which case I might be lucky... Although, about now I might swap a little bit of it for some damn sleep! Grass is always greener, eh?

What is everyone taking supplement-wise now? I've just swapped my conception multivitamin for folic acid plus vitamin D, but not sure whether anything else is a good idea at this stage, too?

BirdBrain85 · 22/04/2017 09:13

Queen I'm taking pregnacare - not cheap but when I took a folic acid / vit D combo it upset my stomach so I'd rather pay out!

So confused about how big baby is. Some things say a blueberry, some say a raspberry and some say a coffee bean!?
