lixon phew! So pleased for you

isitwinetimeyet16 · 21/04/2017 14:15

Yay @Lixon that's brilliant!!!! Happy birthday weekend too.

And good news too @Annie1290 - what did they put you as??

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 14:17

Of course CantHelp ! I'll update later. I completely know what you mean, no food is appealing. Of if it is it's for less than ten seconds.

PhDPepper · 21/04/2017 14:18

Tentatively joining you. Got a bfp last night and this morning- I'm 10 days post OV and 2 days late. DH says no line I say line. Christmas baby!

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 14:24

Pepper well your DH is wrong Grin may I suggest you book him an eye test?

mamalovesviolet · 21/04/2017 14:26

Pepper It's faint but that is a line!

MaryShelley1818 · 21/04/2017 14:32

Definitely a line Pepper!! Congratulations and welcome xx

PhDPepper · 21/04/2017 14:35

Haha! He is half blind so maybe I'll let him off! So exciting! Going to proceed with caution though as have had 2 miscarriages in as many years. Don't want to get hopes up but i so hope this is it! Wasn't expecting a result when I used the test last night because I was bored!!

Palendrominca · 21/04/2017 14:37

Hi everyone, can I join please? Got a positive pregnancy test this morning, EDD is 25th Dec according to my app, this will my second. A bit of a surprise as my first is only 10 months old! I have booked an appointment with my GP so I can be referred to the midwife team. I am 31, but will be 32 by the time the baby is here.

I am already quite nervous about telling work, I am not back from maternity yet (currently doing the odd KIT day) but due to the nature of my job I'll have to tell them sooner rather than later as there are H&S issues around some of my tasks. Hoping to put it off until I officially start back.

I remember how awful the first trimester was for me last time (huge food aversions) so waiting to see what this one will bring!

Thewinedidit · 21/04/2017 15:02

I am booked in! There was a central phone service for it. First appt is on DS birthday. Oh it is all seeming a bit more real.

Also I am starving. Have gone from feeling like I might never want to eat again, to debating if having a McDonald's twice in one day is acceptable. So much for being not to put so much weight on this time (still haven't lost a lb of it years later!)

Mrsbluebell17 · 21/04/2017 15:22

Thanks zaber. The spreadsheet would be a huge help if you don't mind. I'm on the app but when I can get on the main site I'll try and PM you my email address if that's ok?

DoctorDonnaNoble · 21/04/2017 15:31

I'm getting occasional throbbing/pulling sensations kind of in my womb area it doesn't mean anything does it?

leighdinglady · 21/04/2017 15:35

Completely normal doctor. Just things stretching

60percentbanana · 21/04/2017 15:35

So I succumbed to no-symptom paranoia and did another test today, just a £ shop cheapie. The line came up immediately! Really pleased as the clearblue test was so faint and I was beginning to think I'd imagined it!

leighdinglady · 21/04/2017 15:54

60% - I have hardly any symptoms either which is causing me to fret too. I've spent about £50 on pee sticks!

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 15:56

Of course Bluebell honestly, it isn't as much as you may think! As I'm sure everyone else who has kids already will agree, and I'm hoping everyone on here who has already had a baby can point us in the rifht direction of what we do/don't need.

And don't underestimate how generous people can be. As it's your first I'd expect you to get lots of useful/interesting outfits and bits and bobs. You've got so much time to shop around as well.

I figure as long as you can transport it, clothe it, feed it, change it and give it somewhere to sleep you're pretty much there. I've seen friends go so overboard, there's so much cute stuff out there that you really don't need Grin oh my, I've taken the fun out of it now haven't I!?

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 16:05

CantHelp right, apparently our eating habits are okay for now, as long as we're taking and keeping down folic acid/vitamin D, etc. The baby will take everything it needs from us right now. So as long as we aren't getting dehydrated it is okay, not great, but okay.

GP did encourage me to try to eat a bit more if I could, I'm a little underweight. Lots of suggestions, again, back to milkshakes, frozen yogurts, jelly, etc. So I need to brace the shops to try to find something I fancy.

However Grin have been given B6 and Doxlamine ( I'm not even going to try to spell that...) so hopefully that'll help me keep whatever I eat down. I was also asked why I was still wearing my sea bands as they evidently weren't working 😂

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 16:06

I hope that reassures you a bit CantHelp Smile though I do marvel at you managing to stomach rice!

Annie1290 · 21/04/2017 16:07

My last period puts me at 6+1 but cycles slightly longer than 28 days and gestational sac measures at 5+6. I'm hoping that on an abdominal scan, with a bad view, that all sounds normal? Any ideas anyone?

MaryShelley1818 · 21/04/2017 16:15

60percent and Leigh I'm exactly the same...symptom free and paranoid!!
I keep worrying that everyone is going to think I've made it up depite having a drawer full of positive tests!!
We're going to all end up with horrendous morning sickness in a week I bet...the old "be careful what you wish for"!
I've just sent DP to the shop for another TWO CB Digis in the hope I get my 3+ this weekend then I'll definitely stop testing! Lol x

Marie90 · 21/04/2017 16:30

Welcome to all the new joiners! And great news Lixon!

I'm still at the stage of eating everything in
sight! Mostly plain stuff (bread sticks and rich tea biscuits by the bucket full), but i could easily graze non stop through the day (and night) at the mo!

Had to come home from work early today as i was feeling really weak snd a bit faint. I've got a very active job so I've been trying to listen to my body and stop when i need to, but i feel so guilty for taking the evening off (it's always a nightmare to get cover). Wish i could tell work but trying to hold out until i see the midwife at 8 weeks (2nd May).

Currently tucked up in bed. Anyone else the same?

weasledee · 21/04/2017 16:39

Ha Mary! Me too!
I have no symptoms as yet (except vivid dreams at night) but only 4+5 weeks. I too best be careful what I wish for as I had hyperemis with my first 2 and that started in week 6.....
I too have purchased the cb digital, going to do that tomorrow morning.... :)

isitwinetimeyet16 · 21/04/2017 16:44

All good. Saw tiny heartbeat. Measuring 6+3 which is less than I thought but hard to be accurate at this stage as everything is so tiny! Xx

MaryShelley1818 · 21/04/2017 16:53

Congratulations Winetime xx

Fingers crossed Weasledee that we both get a good result in the morning xx

BeautifulLiar · 21/04/2017 16:56

Hey, can I join please? I've done a fair few positive tests this week! Due around December 29th. This will be my fifth baby, but DP's first!
