Ohhhhh. Do you just buy new pants when you run out of clean ones Boggle Grin ?

YouBoggleMyMind · 21/04/2017 08:58

Haha 😂
I have DH well trained to look after me in the event of sickness. Hopefully I'll be a lucky one!

nzcakey · 21/04/2017 09:04

Hi all, I hope it's OK if I join? I'm generally not very good with keeping up on forums but will see how this goes - forgive me in advance if I come and go!!

Anyway, I'm about 6+2 with our first. Taken us two years to get a positive, which came after seeing fertility specialist and having an HSG. Had positive test 2 weeks ago, and had an info session at Dr's yesterday, with a midwife assistant. I've got my booking in on may 8th, when I'll be almost 9 weeks.

Feeling a bit worried as I seem to have very few symptoms. Have had the odd cramp, going to sleep at 9pm each night this week, and been having to ahem empty bowels a lot (several times pure day), but that's about it. Hoping it's all going well in there!

Lixon · 21/04/2017 09:15

Thank you everyone for your thoughts, really lovely to have people to vent to who understand. My dh was quite sweet for him but doesn't really get it. EPU were lovely and have squeezed me in at 10, limited cramps and bleeding overnight and only when I wipe this morning so trying to keep hopes up. Slept terribly obviously so will be an emotional wreck regardless today!

Welcome mumoftheark, what a nice surprise! I hope you get to share with dh soon :)

Isitwine, my heart really goes out to you waiting til 4.30 - I'd be going slowly mad if I had to go to work first. Keeping everything crossed it goes as expected.

Zabe I do hope you get something prescribed for the sickness.

Can't helpdancing, so sorry for all your losses. I have been taking unprescribed aspirin for the last week on the basis that so many people have similar experiences and friends of mine have been told by consultants that they blanket prescribe it and I am still waiting for referral for recurrent miscarriage testing. Of course now I'm panicking that I'm bleeding because of the aspirin but I think that's unlikely, will mention it today though.

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 09:22

Lixon I've got everything crossed for you! It's a really good sign the bleeding has calmed down though. Let us know how you get on. Flowers

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 09:23

Everyone at work keeps asking me if I'm okay Angry they keep making me talk. Every time I open my gob there is the risk of sick! THEY NEED TO STAY AWAY.

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 09:33

Well Grin I've had to admit it to one person.

The lovely lady who works down the hall came to check on whoever had their head down the loo 😂 T'is my own fault. I ate half a biscuit.

Chamonix1 · 21/04/2017 10:07

Got my scan and booking in apt.
Booking in- 9th may
12 week scan- 26th may! Smile

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 10:21

Ohhhh! Cham that's so exciting! Did you have it confirmed via letter?

I just remembered I left my GP sorting out my 12 week scan last week and haven't heard anything!

Chamonix1 · 21/04/2017 10:24

No, I self referred and then they emailed me and asked me to call them.
Odd procedure!
Smile

Chamonix1 · 21/04/2017 10:25

I dare leave my gp to "sort" anything !
Mine tend to be a bit, well...slow

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 10:38

Cham but I have so much faith in mine 😂 ! Forces GP's are generally on the ball! And considering she offered to sort it she bloody better.

I'll harrass her later whilst threatening to be sick on her shoes.

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 10:39

SO.

What's everyone having for lunch today? 😂

isitwinetimeyet16 · 21/04/2017 10:41

@Lixon thinking of you and keeping everything crossed xxx

Annie1290 · 21/04/2017 10:42

Waiting at EPU. So nervous I could faint.

TootsyBella84 · 21/04/2017 10:46

Good luck to you all who have scans!

I'm really suffering today 🤢 can't even think about lunch. I had crumpets for breakfast and am sitting really still trying to keep them down! Bleugh!

Beardy1 · 21/04/2017 10:46

annie good luck. I'm keeping all crossed for you.

zaber weirdly I fancy marmite and buttery toast with boiled egg. What's everyone's thought on eggs and how cooked they need to be? I read that as long as they are red lion you can eat the yoke runny. Sorry if I'm making people spew!!

Chamonix1 · 21/04/2017 10:47

Annie- good luck. Thinking of you x

Chamonix1 · 21/04/2017 10:48

Hope all goes well for you too lixon.
X

MontyPants · 21/04/2017 11:06

Ahh chamonix my booking appt is also on the 9th May! I think we're EDD twins too. I won't know the date of the scan until after my booking appt though. I am so excited.
Good luck Lixon, we are all here if you need any support x

glastogal · 21/04/2017 11:20

Good luck lixon and annie 🍀🍀

Beardy - I'm a runny yolk girl. Every other document/webpage I read says something different about eggs and I'm a poachie addict, so I have decided to enjoy my eggs the way I like them!!

Zaber - you crack me up but I'm sorry you are suffering so badly!! I'm having leftover soup for lunch and making a big vegan meal for tea as my sister is coming for dinner and I'm going to tell her the news! I'm excited 😆😆

Mrsbluebell17 · 21/04/2017 11:22

Beardy I love soft poached eggs etc and haven't dared to eat them yet although I have read the same information about lion stamped eggs as you did. I'm a worrier though.

No idea what to have for lunch. I've not been sick but every time I get remotely hungry I feel really really sick!!! Shock it's just starting to build up again now. I had 2 weetabix and a banana for breakfast after eating a digestive biscuit in bed when I felt sick first thing. I need to drink some water and might try and make myself something filled with salad or veg for lunch..... but don't know what!

I've got a beef stew in the slow cooker for later which is packed with veg, that will be tea tonight.

Mrsbluebell17 · 21/04/2017 11:24

Sorry Annie. I missed your post there. Hope all goes well for you today.

Thinking of everyone getting scanned today!

Zaberwocky · 21/04/2017 11:27

I think ... nothing AWFUL will happen if I have cheesey mash and beans for lunch Grin

May as well take advantage of this weight loss marvel till my appointment this afternoon!

Eggs confuse me to be honest.

Wonderfulstuff · 21/04/2017 11:27

Hi, may I join please? I've been lurking for a while but too nervous/superstitious/daft to join. Anyway I'm 38, a first timer, 7 and a bit weeks along and my due date is 5th December. Booking in appointment is 25/4.

Symptoms include nausea but no vom yet, lots of tummy pains, bigger boobs, waking up at 4am every night, and ridiculous exhaustion. I also don't seem to be able to stomach anything remotely healthy and seem to be surviving mainly on canned food and salt and vinegar chip sticks... which isn't my normal style!

DP and I haven't told anyone yet so feeling quite lonely with the constant worry that the 1st trimester seems to create. Thinking of booking a private early scan to hopefully alleviate some of the concern. This wasn't entirely planned and although I'm pleased there's lots to get my head around. Was anyone else 'surprised' or was it very much planned? X
