Thanks everyone for the reassurances. It's actually below 10th not 30th, my brain has lost the plot! That's interesting Barnes

Sipper I was definitely vague on what they were too Grin!

Autumnsweater · 06/04/2017 19:07

wish they want to check my BP every 48h initially! Good to know you've been stable all this time though. And blimey that's a bit of a change in the growth scan isn't it!!

Badgerbird · 06/04/2017 19:36

Just catching up after last day at that job. Phew. 2 (rather whiney) kids, 4 month old crazy puppy and heavily preggo nanny is not best combo. And I love dogs!!

teaspoon fab news on baby turning Smile Love love love the foxy, cat and squirrel pics!! He/she looks v healthy too. We live in a very urban area nurseb but have always had foxes living at bottom of our garden. The cubs have been known to come in the catflap and poop in the house in the past!!

sipper good move on the washing. Glad it's helped :) It's the oddest most amazing time!

bean def push fir 1 day a week wfh, seems crazy to have to go in if you don't have too!

autumn at last!!! So pleased you pushed for it and hope you're not feeling too worried about growth and bp.

red sorry to hear you've been signed off, know how stressed it makes you. However as you've said you are in pain and hopefully a couple of weeks r&r will help.

Wow wish!! You're baby's been busy ShockSmile

WishIWasSleeping · 06/04/2017 19:52

The sonographer mentioned the words 'could be as high as 10lb for full term'
ConfusedShock
I told him we wouldn't be friends if he said that again!
I imagine my mw will test me again for GD next week... Hmm
I'm secretly hoping they suggest a 2 week early induction!

EsmesBees · 06/04/2017 19:53

Turned up pissed teaspoon!! That's terrible. And makes my lot sound pretty normal!

Autumn I missed your update when I was skimming on the bus. Nothing wrong with being on the 30th centile. Plus, as someone posted some evidence for last thread, growth scans are notoriously unreliable. Really glad they are looking after you though after all the faff to get your scan and being thorough.

FoxMulder · 06/04/2017 20:03

Bean that sounds like the foetal ejection reflex?

My discharge notes are not accurate at all. No idea where they got their timings from!

OBEM. I didn't think births like that really happened until I got to hospital and ended up on a bed with legs in stirrups. What a cliché!

FoxMulder · 06/04/2017 20:13

No daffs tea. We are in the Lake District so pretty far north and they are dying off!

I'm 2 pages behind sorry...

peasandquiet · 06/04/2017 20:20

Evening all,

So so much to catch up on. Have been on the loveliest day out today to celebrate our anniversary, lovely to spend time with my husband one on one for once.

Lovely sight of washing lines with mini clothes on 😍

One more week at work for me 🎉

Autumn how high is BP? Have a look at the nice guidelines they are really clear about what they do when for BP tho combined with poor growth they might induce sooner, how many wks are you?

had a good rummage in a TKmaxx earlier and got a couple of nighties for after birth, worry that I'm going to be hot - remember getting the sweats badly last time after delivery and that was February!

Quick poll- how many of you having number 2/3 are winging it without a double pushchair and how old is your toddler? Theres been a bit of FB chat about bargain doubles and now I'm panicking!

jennymac31 · 06/04/2017 20:32

Teaspoon74 - can't believe someone actually turned up to a job interview pissed!

RasperryInAMelon · 06/04/2017 20:46

@nursebickypegs resent you an invite ☺

Same for you @1004Rise 👍🏻

@EsmesBees sounds terrible - but it isn't really your problem. My boss was in the same situation, but I told him when I found out at 10 weeks so they had plenty of time for recruiting.

Have managed to spend much of the afternoon / early evening going through a backlog of scrapbooking from holidays, honeymoon / wedding and general other things...

EsmesBees · 06/04/2017 20:47

The opposite to what you asked peas but I'm going to have a 2.3m gap and have bought a double. I got a second hand Phil and Ted's off FB for £75. I was considering trying without it, but we don't have a car so walk/bus everywhere and I couldn't face having to do everything at toddler pace. I'm hoping to use the sling/McLaren combo when I can though.

stationaryace · 06/04/2017 20:52

peas winging it here. DD will be just under 2.5 years old so my plan is mainly baby in a sling and her in the buggy. I've got a couple of carriers (stretchy wrap, mai tai and buckled ss) so should have enough to keep me going, but I've been eying up an buckled onbu for a while and it is my birthday today... Wink

I figure worst case scenario I can buy a double if needed, but hope to avoid it. This baby WILL cost less than the last Grin

Northernexile · 06/04/2017 21:03

I'm also avoiding a double. DD2 is currently 2y 4m and walks most places anyway (although not good at holding hands!). I have a couple of carriers too and a buggy board, so reckon I'll cope. This is my last baby so I definitely don't want to she'll out on another buggy if I can help it as I have a travel system and smaller buggy already.

peasandquiet · 06/04/2017 21:09

Glad it's not just me northern and stationary you have re-assured me I'm not mad. We all have the same gap too ! I have three slings, a travel system a maclaren and a buggy board on order for the travel system so plenty on options, also live in the middle of the countryside so drive everywhere it's just when we get there. Car boot will have both buggys in so if there is two adults we can just use two pushchairs aswell!

Northernexile · 06/04/2017 21:13

That's exactly the same as us peas, we are in the sticks too. I managed last time with a slightly bigger gap (2.9), and I'm pretty confident that by the time I'm on my feet after the section DD2 will be happy on the buggy board or in the buggy with baby in the carrier.

teainbed · 06/04/2017 21:16

I'm on BP watch too. Stopped my aspirin yesterday (36 weeks). I've been induced as early as 36 weeks before for pre-eclampsia so am keeping a close eye on things. Good luck autumn.

1004Rise · 06/04/2017 21:17

@Teaspoon74 ShockShockShockpissed to an interview that's madness!!!

@RasperryInAMelon thanks worked this time, now completely confused trying to match Mumsnet names to real names ConfusedWink

Badgerbird · 06/04/2017 21:41

raspberry your afternoon sounds great :) I've got piles of photos and loads of new photo frames in a pile behind sofa ready to get our photo wall all sorted during mat leave Smile

Oooh happy birthday stationary!! Star Have you had a good day?

nursebickypegs · 06/04/2017 21:48

@peasandquiet I often see a mum in town who has two children, one is in the buggy and one in the sling! It looks so effortless!

Adventuregame · 06/04/2017 22:01

Had 34 week midwife check today. She had to do foetal heart rate twice as first time it was too chilled out so she made me wiggle to wake him up then she said it was better - it's made me worry (obviously) !

Barnes79 · 06/04/2017 22:13

Adventure try not to worry about it too much. As adults our HR is lower if sleeping etc so I don't see why LO would be any different...

Brightsmoke · 06/04/2017 22:16

Finally caught up! but forgotten most of it already

Welcome Belle

Happy birthday Stationary

Snap Rasperry, been scrapbooking our wedding/honeymoon, just need to put the rest of the photos in now. I went a bit canvas mad when we got married, have a huge canvas above the fireplace and probably 20 on the wall behind the sofa 😂🙈

Can't believe someone turned up pissed Teaspoon! But pleased you found a cover this time.

Baby panicked me this morning, no movements for over an hour when I first got up, but ate some breakfast and it was merrily kicking away, and has been all day thankfully.

Looks like everyone's been making the most of the gorgeous weather again. I'm very jealous of your beautiful garden Skipper, I have a lovely big garden, but no imagination so it's just grass, does make it easier for the sit on mower though!

Very jealous of your ice cream Ticky

Hope everyone under the weather is feeling better tomorrow, and those with a few days left of work have a great last day :)

MrsJW15 · 06/04/2017 22:17

Mrscrocropop, Wish did your DH have to be treated for thrush too? The MW seemed to imply that he might have to be. I'm going to the work GP tomorrow for a Cannesten prescription as the hospital had run out! Haven't really had any symptoms so all a bit weird.

Very jealous of those with washing on the line - no space for that here. Very jealous of Ticky and that ice cream!

Tea I can't believe someone showed up to an interview drunk! Or that two people cancelled. That's crazy.

Adventure I'm sure the would have told you straight away if there was a problem. They wont take a chance at this point!

ShiniBerry · 06/04/2017 22:25

So I think our little fella has started moving down and getting engaged. I've been feeling pressure in my pubic area since two nights ago and he seems to be not moving/flipping around as much. My bump seems a little lower and heavier and I've been feeling the urge to need to pee and poo (!) more too. My back has been aching more than usual and just walking to the top of the road is getting difficult. I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow (Friday) so hoping these are not pre-labour signs!!!

However this has kick started the nesting! I washed all the last bits of baby clothes and linens and DH even worked from home today and put together a chest of drawers and even cleaned some windows! And our pram and car seat arrived!

I also picked up some nightwear for the hospital, a robe in case I have to walk about in a hospital gown and Arnica pillules for my hospital bag. I almost feel ready to have this baby-but not quite!

WishIWasSleeping · 06/04/2017 22:28

Peas - I really want need a double. DD is only 15mo, but we've yet to buy one as the one we wanted is ridiculously expensive. (Bugaboo Donkey) and the second hand ones I've seen for sale are either in London 2.5hrs away) or in poor condition. And I really want one with a carrycot, not just a lie flat because I'm massively awkward.
I also don't yet have a sling so this is going to be so much fun! Confused

Teaspoon - induction at 36wks - So close to not falling into the prem category.
That would be next week for me! I was prescribed asprin in the early days, but they only gave me soluble ones and I regularly forgot to take, and then just didn't renew my prescription.. Hmm my BP hovers in the 130/40's over 90's usually, so not massively high. Plus I'm a bit wobbly around the edges..... and around the middle! Grin

I really don't want a CS as I can't really get the support needed at home- and I don't understand why my body thinks it's ok to grow a toddler before letting it out! Hmm
All healthy from the scan though so at least that's a relief!

MrsJW - they should really apply the cream also - they often have less symptoms than we do and easily pass it back to us. I make my DH use the cream every time I get it! He's always very impressed with my requests!! They only need to apply cream to their outside bits anyway! Just tell him it'll make his skin softer and firmer! Grin
Plus you'll need to make sure it's totally gone by delivery (if your going for a vaginal birth) as it can transfer to baby and cause eye problems.(rare) xx
