I see there's a thread for early November due dates but I can't see that anyone's started one for the later dates yet. Not sure yet if this one will stick around but if it does it'll be our DC3, due around the 18th.

Someone come chat to me?!

I've been for a scan today following some bleeding on Monday. All is fine and looks as it should, no sign of where the bleeding came from. We saw a heartbeat. Feeling very relieved.

Model hope you're OK

Foggymist · 05/04/2017 13:35

Is anyone using Ovia app andfor having problems with it? Won't open for me since yesterday.

NovemberBaby2017 · 05/04/2017 13:42

@butterybollocks oh how lovely. How far gone are you? I feel a fraud as had no issues so no reason to go really. I have had hardly any symptoms so just want reassurance its there and make it more real really. IS this your first? How you feeling? Is this your 1st?

Mutiny0nTheBunty · 05/04/2017 13:46

Welcome to all new comers and sending good luck to all those with early scans.

Had my booking-in appointment yesterday and am now adding to my worry spirals with all the things I had forgotten could go wrong in pregnancy. Am I ever going to stop this or am I going to worry for the next 33 weeks straight?

Need to give my head a wobble and definitely agree with stepping away from Dr Google.

On the other hand my abdominal muscles are clearly all shot to pieces since having DS so I have a definite (and very difficult to conceal!) bump. If everyone at work hasn't guessed before 12 weeks (small office - nowhere to hide), I'll be stunned Smile

stuckinny · 05/04/2017 14:02

Fingers crossed model.

Lydia, I live in the US and early scan are common (think about it being money driven). The trade off is that midwives are hard to find and post-natal care is almost non-existent. I'm booked for a second scan at 13 weeks but that is part of harmony testing.

Great news buttery.

NoCatsHere · 05/04/2017 14:03

mummyosborne no3 for me too!

lydiangel I never had an early scan with my other two dc. Just waited for the NHS 12 week one. This time I've had one because like harriet I had a mc and then fell pregnant before my next period. So they did mine for reassurance and to check it was definitely a new pregnancy.

agnu what app are you using please, I think I'd like more info, I find all that stuff really fascinating despite it being hopefully dc3!

november if you can afford and want an early scan than it's a total personal choice. I never had one in my other two pregnancies, just waited to 12 weeks...it's a long wait though I know! Feels like it'll never come!!!

tmc14 · 05/04/2017 14:17

November - I've booked an early scan for next week when I'll be just over 8 weeks. We chose to have one since we'll be seeing family at 10 weeks so wanted to tell them then, so we can do it face to face. But was worried about telling people before I've had a scan! Bit extravagant but thought it was worth it.

tmc14 · 05/04/2017 14:19

Not sure I've posted on this board before - sorry for just barging in!! Been lurking a bit, am 7 +3 with my first. Am 37 so a bit on the old side I guess. Doing ok so far, absolutely knackered but apart from that it's not too bad symptom wise.

NovemberBaby2017 · 05/04/2017 14:22

Thanks everyone,

NovemberBaby2017 · 05/04/2017 14:24

@tmc14 that's one of the reasons for me wanting to have an early scan. I was really tired first few weeks. Now no symptoms. Its like im not pregnant that's making me paranoid. Im 6+3. I'm 35 in two weeks. I keep thinking im old as well but we are fit and healthy. IS it your first?

tmc14 · 05/04/2017 15:40

Hi NovemberBaby, yep our first. OH is 41 so neither of us are spring chickens! We were very lucky in falling pregnant straight away after my implant was removed so feeling lie I can't possibly be this lucky!
I think I wouldn't have booked a 6 or 7 week scan as I'd be too nervous about it being too early but I'm hoping next week puts some of my anxieties to rest. It is extra money to spend though, so not ideal.

NovemberBaby2017 · 05/04/2017 16:16

@tmc14 congratulations! I'm the same fell straight away after implant coming out. That's why i can't quiet believe it's real until someone gives me proper confirmation. The doctor convinced me it would take us at least a year when she took it out.
I have booked my early scan for 9 weeks i know its close to the NSH one be we are going to the states on holiday week after and I want to be reassured. I also want to tell our parents when we see them the day we return home and don't want to do that until I see all is ok really and it feels more real. Yeah its extra money but think its worth peace of mind. I'm saving now like anything just no clue how much we going to need and the maternity pay here is just statutory. So quiet a big drop from my normal salary. Let us know how it goes next week interested to see what the process is like. x

Hazandduck · 05/04/2017 16:44

How are you doing modelcat? Hope everything is ok xx

organixeveryday · 05/04/2017 16:57

New due date of 26/11!
Had a better GP appt today where she booked me in for bloods , gave me my maternity pack etc , did all my forms. I've filled in most of the booklet so won't be much to do at the actual booking in appointment I think.

modelcat · 05/04/2017 17:18

Thanks everyone and that's brilliant about your scan buttery

Saw midwife for booking in and she wasn't concerned about the spotting. No pain so hopefully it'll go away.

Apparently my dates were totally wrong so my EDD is now 10th November not the 20th! Not sure how I managed that Confused

stuckinny · 05/04/2017 17:32

Wow! Modelcat that's quite a difference. I'm glad everything is okay and they think there is no reason for concern.

Novemberbaby2017 if you're coming to the east cost you'll need your wellies and summer stuff! The weather is bonkers at the moment.

butterybollocks · 05/04/2017 18:00

Modelcat that's reassuring that the midwife has said it's not a worry.

My due date has moved forwards a day to 20th Nov based on today's scan.

While I would have preferred not to have bleeding and two days of worry, the scan was so reassuring and if I ever have another pregnancy I think we'd book a private early scan for reassurance.

After the scan we went for a massive filthy burger king, complete with oreo milkshake. I feel the best I've felt for weeks, it's the only thing that has kept away the sicky hunger feeling for more than an hour or two. Not sure I can get away with eating that every day though Grin

TeaAndPjs · 05/04/2017 18:43

buttery & modelcat glad all is well :)

I've felt crappy all day after saying my symptoms had all vanished

GingerHanna · 05/04/2017 18:55

And so the vomiting starts. Joy.

At least the cat has curled up with me in bed so that's nice. Now to convince DH that take away is a good idea even though we had it last night!

lydiangel83 · 05/04/2017 19:03

@tmc14 @NovemberBaby2017 I'll be a few weeks off 35 when baby born hopefully so also not a spring chicken lol.

Was moaning to doctor and saying I was concerned as wanted to get early scan or special treatment but her reply (young female doc) was that we will all be old mum's in this day and age, which made me feel better :)

Foggymist · 05/04/2017 19:15

Butterybollocks I can't stop eating, the only thing that stops me feeling sick is to keep eating Blush I soooo want to have a giant takeaway pizza everyday but am also craving wraps with chicken, lettuce, mixed peppers and mayo so am giving into that one more regularly!

Hazandduck · 05/04/2017 19:21

I had my first proper feeling sick experience last night, I fell asleep on the sofa and walked upstairs too quickly to bed at about 3am, felt so sick I had to sit up nibbling ginger biscuits until about 4.30! So strange! X

Topsyloulou · 05/04/2017 20:34

Good news about the scan Buttery.

My nausea is getting worse every day. I'm fed up of eating pretty much constantly to try & feel better. I'm going to end up the size of a house if I keep going at this rate! With DS water & haribos were my go to & worked every time. Haven't found an equivalent yet this time. Nothing seems to taste right either.

Zampa · 05/04/2017 21:09

I'll be 37 when this baby arrives so you 35 year olds are veritable spring chickens.

Had to have a lie down earlier today so took DD to bed with me. Made a tent with the duvet which she thought was hilarious!

Hazandduck · 05/04/2017 22:25

Ah that sounds nice zampa! Must be hard dealing with the first trimester hormones with a little one to entertain!
Topsy i have had it sneaking up on me little by little, keep ignoring it, just eating to be rid of it but it's just an unsettled feeling in the pit of my stomach x
