I see there's a thread for early November due dates but I can't see that anyone's started one for the later dates yet. Not sure yet if this one will stick around but if it does it'll be our DC3, due around the 18th.

Someone come chat to me?!

Thanks AGnu, I'm going to run to boots tonight for some pregnancy vitamins and a bath thermometer. Not sure I can bear to give baths up entirely, but I think it's okay if the water is less than 40*.
Will wait a while before I contact the midwife though.

stuckinny · 15/03/2017 18:56

I'd like to join too. Got BFP a week and a half ago and spent the first week thinking 'oh crap what have we done'. Over it now and actually feeling happy and excited.
EDD is 12 Nov.
I have my first appointment next Tuesday (not in the U.K.).

dogdinner · 15/03/2017 19:40

I'm doing ok thanks everyone, I've got some stomach pains but no bleeding yet and I'm just going to assume that I'm fine and pregnant as long as I'm not bleeding.
No more stupid pregnancy tests to drive me crazy!

Welcome everyone!

DuRezidal · 15/03/2017 20:02

I am on the early one, but will come on here too as I'm a middle one, due 15th November however I don't think they will let me go to term because I had my daughter at 37 weeks.

HopingForALittleOne · 15/03/2017 20:46

Welcome to those who have joined today with their BFPs 💗

Hey dog, I've had cramps today too, not too severe but I panicked a bit because of last month. I did a bit of googling and then a few deep breaths. They have stopped now so I just want you to know you are not the only one and it's hard not to worry xx

Dollydaydream2829 · 15/03/2017 21:13

Hi ladies!
Hi to the first time BFPers too! I don't feel like I'll be the only first time mum-to-be asking questions all the time!! 🙈

Hope everything works out OK dog - it's defo a good sign that theres no bleeding!

I've been getting cramps on and off since the day before my BFP! It's quite worrying at times but I've heard they can be normal as long as it's not severe and consistent?

Foggymist · 15/03/2017 21:21

Yeah cramps are very normal. Think about it, your body is stretching in ways it has never ever had to before, muscles, ligaments and uterus all moving and accommodating the embryo, so there's lots of twinges and cramps that go with that.

DuRezidal · 15/03/2017 21:32

I was just about to start a post about cramping as I keep getting like a full ache very low down. I don't get AF cramps at all, and can't remember whether I had these types of feelings with my daughter five years ago.

I did have bleeding at 4 weeks but had HCG tests and also an early scan today which showed the gestational sack and yolk where it should be at this stage (5 weeks).

Every time I get this ache I can't help but worry. I was no where near this paranoid with my daughter, but I think because I am older and know more people who have suffered mc now that it has made me more nervous.

Dollydaydream2829 · 15/03/2017 21:41

I'm right there with you on the paranoia front DuRezidal - I work in an obstetric department so I see the worst of early pregnancy, miscarriages, ectopics etc. It defo makes me hyper aware of all the symptoms to look out for.
I don't worry all of the time but I do have a slight panic with every twinge. Which is just not good lol!
Glad everything worked out OK for you, you must be reassured with your early scan!

ibblebobbleout · 15/03/2017 21:46

Congratulations everyone! This will be my second baby and DS is only 10 months, so I'm definitely here if anyone needs any advice... my last pregnancy is still very fresh!! Confused
Cramping is very normal, I fretted loads with DS but it was all fine.

Kristen83 · 16/03/2017 12:33

Hi Ladies,
This is my first time ever using Mumsnet, I too tested on Monday 13th and got a positive and should be due 20th Nov. I am super excited and finding it difficult not to tell anyone!!
I hope you dont mind me tagging on, does this mean that I am now part of this group and we can all support and ask questions with anyone.
x

Foggymist · 16/03/2017 13:44

Hi Kristen, Yes ask away with any questions you have.

Like a fool I've been testing most mornings, the lines are quick and obvious but not darker, annoying myself! I know I just have to stop testing but after my recent chemical pregnancy it's hard to relax.

AGnu · 16/03/2017 14:53

Foggy, it's taking a lot of self control for me not to order more tests. The fact that I've used up the ones I had is the only thing stopping me testing every 5 minutes! It's so difficult at this point when you've had things go wrong before & you just want to know everything's ok!

I don't need a test to tell me I'm pregnant though. My breasts are sore, I feel queasy a lot of the time & I'm crying over everything. Today the thing that set me off was my DS1's anxiety. He's got Aspergers & today a random comment sent his anxiety through the roof so I spent all morning out with friends & barely spoke to anyone because I was trying to keep DS calm. We came home early in the end & I was just so drained by the time we got in I burst into tears. It never usually gets to me like that! I remember laughing with a friend a few years ago at how emotional she was while pregnant, it looks like I might be headed the same way! Hopefully I can keep it together in front of other people for the next 7-8 weeks before we're ready to tell everyone.

Well I tested again, strip test was there but not dark so I did another test, one of the enclosed early tests (not specifically FRER). The white background was this afternoon, the dark background was Sunday. Hopefully that's a good sign!

I definitely have round ligament pain (keeps waking me up with a searing pain if I turn too quickly) and am peeing a lot, that's it. I think I had just the ligament pain at this stage with ds, and a heavy feeling in my lower abdomen which I have now too.

Ahhh round ligament pain! That's what it's called. I've been feeling it too the last few days. I think I remember having it when I was pregnant with DS but it was so long ago (10 years) that's it's hard to remember.
Aside from sore boobs I'm really not experiencing much at all. I'm hoping they do a scan on Tuesday so I'll know everything is okay. I still don't really believe I'm pregnant.

Foggymist · 16/03/2017 19:36

Would be lovely to get a scan so early, we'll get a private one but debating whether to get it at 7 weeks or if I can wait it out until 8 weeks. Doesn't sound like long in the difference but it feels it! €120 for private scan so can't waste it.

stuckinny · 16/03/2017 19:50

If it's just a week I'd wait. Especially for €120.
I really can't remember what they do here (I'm in the US) and every practice is a little different. Some peace of mind would be nice. Not feeling any different and not knowing plays havoc with your mind.

Foggymist · 16/03/2017 20:14

I know it's just a week but on the weekend in between I have a very baby/parenting centred event I have to attend (work related, no choice), wondering all weekend if everything is progressing normally will be miserable, but equally getting bad news a few days before it would be awful too. Probably will wait, it'll just drag so badly.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 17/03/2017 06:15

Hi Kristen and everyone else. Thinking of you Foggy

I have the most horrible metallic taste in my mouth and woke up feeling pretty nauseous. I hope this doesn't last long.

A really good friend announced her pregnancy yesterday, EDD late September, and it took everything in me not to shout 'me too!!!'. Way too early for me to be comfortable with it.
I'll have to tell my family around the ten week mark though, as we have a Spa day booked.

How's everyone feeling?

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 17/03/2017 08:50

The first throwing up has occurred! Glad I'm not in work today, but will be next week.
Obviously carrot cake wasn't the way to go for breakfast.
Anyone got any tips for getting through this without colleagues realising?
I work in an office where the loos are on another floor, so it's hard to visit them discreetly

DuRezidal · 17/03/2017 09:07

So far still no real symptoms at this end... I think that's why it still doesn't feel real yet.

After my early scan (showed just sac and yolk sac) I have felt a little more relaxed but obviously still conscious of every little twinge and cramping. I think once I see a heartbeat I will feel happier as still so fragile at this stage.

I think because I am involved in horse breeding I see how easily things can disappear.

NoCatsHere · 17/03/2017 09:33

Hello all, I'm also on the other thread but think ill be more likely mid-later nov. It's hard to tell though as i fell pregnant straight after a miscarriage with no period in between. I know mid wives find this annoying because it's harder to date you but I'm so happy I'm happy to get a rap on the knuckles!!

I have ZERO symptoms. None. But I'm pretty sure with my other 2 pregnancies I also had nothing...no sickness, no cravings, no crazy feelings, nothing. So i'm trying to remember that and not panic. So the others of you without symptoms - durezidal I'm with you! Sometimes I'd like to feel sickness just to know, but I realise that's ridiculous!

I've called the midwives, mainly wanted to get the ball rolling because of the ,miscarriage and because I'd love to swing an ear dating scan if I can. They can't see me until I'm roughly 8 weeks which is april 10th. Feels like such a long wait!

Dollydaydream2829 · 17/03/2017 10:07

foggy your tests are definitely getting darker! - how far along are you? I would probably try and wait for the 8 week scan if you can! I'm not going for a private scan which makes for an intolerable long wait until 12 weeks but because of where I work, if there was anything I felt was really wrong, I know they would scan me. So I am in a lucky position!

I'm exactly the same cuppa - I've got such bad nausea and I'm only 5+5 so I know it'll no doubt get worse and will really struggle to keep it from colleagues. I've told my sister and I'm planning on telling my mum & DH mum on mothers day. I'll still only be 7 weeks but I figure I'd want their support if the worst did happen anyway.

Congrats cats - sorry to hear about your m/c but you have something lovely to focus on now. Hopefully the midwives will be helpful with your dating.

Foggymist · 17/03/2017 10:16

Dolly I'm just 4+4, we found out before af was even late, on my son it was when af was a few hours late so the wait is painfully long! A good few of my friends haven't found out in the past until 7-9 weeks, must make it all so much shorter! Although my ds was born 3 weeks early so I guess I dodged 3-5 more weeks there.

It's really common to have no symptoms so early to those worrying, remember not having your period is the biggest symptom! I'm really surprised at how strong the ligament pain is for me, I didn't expect any symptoms until 6-8 weeks at least.

DuRezidal · 17/03/2017 10:26

Does anyone get like electric shooting pains every so often?
