I see there's a thread for early November due dates but I can't see that anyone's started one for the later dates yet. Not sure yet if this one will stick around but if it does it'll be our DC3, due around the 18th.

Someone come chat to me?!

Harriet I was 7+4 when I had the scan above. We could see the heartbeat and the baby move a little.

NoCatsHere · 04/04/2017 19:50

harriet i had an internal scan at 6 weeks and they could see a blob and even a tiny heartbeat so hopefully you should be able to see a bit more.

Anyone watching OBEM tonight? I'm not sure i'm ready for it.....

TeaAndPjs · 04/04/2017 20:18

mrsgb next scan not till 20th April, same day as booking in appt

There's a lot of us having scans :) it makes it so real

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 04/04/2017 21:02

Thanks @NoCatsHere, I didn't know it was on. Watching now!

Mummyosborne1983 · 04/04/2017 21:33

Have one born on record - I love it!!! I must be mental, especially as this is my third 😆

Foggymist · 04/04/2017 21:37

Scan went fine, measuring 6+6 (7+1 by dates) so they want me back for a free follow up scan in two weeks just because they could see very little, but it was just an abdominal scan not an internal scan so I'm not surprised they couldn't see much!

Heard the heartbeat, 133 bpm, which they said was perfect and they were very happy with.

I watched OBEM religiously before I had ds, have never watched it since because I hated my time in hospital so much. Better get used to the idea again though!

Hazandduck · 04/04/2017 21:48

Congrats on your scan Foggy!

Foggymist · 04/04/2017 21:49

Thanks Hazandduck Smile

Hi everyone, please can I join? Been lurking for a while, but not brave enough to join... still doesn't feel real yet. TTC#1, 31, EDD 30 Nov.

No real symptoms as of yet - slightly spotty, some bloating and I can't decide if my tiredness is down to the pregnancy or extreme endoftermitis. I seem to be living in a constant state of paranoia at the moment and 12 weeks seems an awfully long time to wait. Please say this is normal/I'm not the only one?

pomadas87 · 04/04/2017 22:33

Welcome springer! I think the paranoia is normal - stay away from Dr Google... I got myself in such a spin and made myself really anxious doing that Sad

HopingForALittleOne · 04/04/2017 22:44

Harriet sorry just saw your question I am 7+1 today.

Foggy my little one measured 6+6 too but I had internal scan so could see heart beat and make out little bean too. Good you are getting another scan hopefully will see your little one more clearly then ( will it be internal ?)

Feel a lot calmer now that things seem to be progressing the way they should.

I'm just watching OBEM now on plus one. I've always loved the show but wincing a little watching it now Confused

Foggymist · 05/04/2017 03:54

Hoping no it definitely won't be internal at that stage, this place only does internal from 6-8 weeks and they didn't even do it today at 7 weeks so will just be abdominal. Suits me! Last time we had a private scan at 8 weeks and just saw blob, this next one will be 9-10 weeks I think so should be clear for their measurement purposes.

GingerHanna · 05/04/2017 05:48

I must admit I'm a little thankful I can't get OBEM over here. Although if I tried hard enough I probably could but think I'll leave off for now...!

lydiangel83 · 05/04/2017 08:11

I feel so naive what's an internal scan? I had my booking in appt on Sunday which made it all seem more real so now just waiting for 12 wk scan date (currently 6+2).

Lots of people having early scans, is that due to previous complications? Worried I am missing out on something, 12 wks still feels a long way away!

lydiangel83 · 05/04/2017 08:12

Oh and I'm way too scared to watch OBEM - don't think it would help me!

ButteryCroissant · 05/04/2017 08:38

Hello All
Please can I join? Just signed up on Mumsnet for the first time.
Got a 3yo and am due my 2nd on 26th Nov. Booking appointment on Friday and symptoms not too bad at the mo, just mood swings and exhaustion.

harrietm87 · 05/04/2017 09:20

Welcome butterycroissant!

lydia I'm having an early scan because I've had 2 miscarriages and conceived immediately after the last one without a period in between. I've also had cramping on one side which my GP thinks is just the corpus luteal but they also want to rule out ectopic. You can pay for private scan if you can't wait for 12 weeks!

HopingForALittleOne · 05/04/2017 09:20

Lydia for an internal scan they use what someone else on another thread called the 'dildo-cam'. That kind of sums it up.

I've had two and you actually forget what is happening when you see your little one on the screen. They say in the early weeks you can get a better/clearer image than using abdominal scan.

My scan was part of a package as I used IUI to conceive at a fertility clinic xx

HopingForALittleOne · 05/04/2017 09:21

Welcome buttery xx

Foggymist · 05/04/2017 09:38

lydia I only had early scan because I find out I'm pregnant so early (before af is due) that the wait to 12 weeks is soooo long, and with my job I need to plan 6+ months in advance.

harrietm87 · 05/04/2017 10:10

*corpus luteum

Zampa · 05/04/2017 10:53

Just called for my booking in appointment and ended up breaking down over the phone when describing DD's birth. Happy news is that they confirmed I'll be consultant led, which is a relief.

Jealous of everyone who has said hello to their los already. Will have a scan as part of the Harmony test but that's after 10 weeks so not really much before the NHS one anyway.

modelcat · 05/04/2017 11:18

I'm scared. I've had some blood on wiping today. I lost first baby at 7 weeks, before having my DS. I'm 7+2 just now but had scan on Saturday and saw baby and heartbeat so naively was hoping that I'll get to 12 weeks without anything further to worry about.

EPU have said to monitor as it could just be common spotting. I would have been due my period right now.

AGnu · 05/04/2017 12:24

Fx it's just spotting model!

I gave up watching OBEM after my first because I couldn't relate to it at all. I'm one of those really annoying women who doesn't find labour painful as such, for me it's more feeling like I've done lots of sit ups! My first labour was relatively calm well, I was calm, the MW had a moment... & DS1 was born at home. It was nothing like what you see on OBEM! Some friends of mine were on it when they were filming in our area - I couldn't bring myself to watch!

Yesterday was a better day for me symptoms-wise & today doesn't seem too bad either. My app says the placenta should be starting to take over so hormones should be changing around now. I'm telling myself that that's why I'm not feeling so bad & it's nothing to be concerned about... If I say it enough I might start to believe it!

Whats everyones thoughts on this. Should we just wait for the NHS one?
