Mid-Late November due dates

AGnu · 13/03/2017 16:35

I see there's a thread for early November due dates but I can't see that anyone's started one for the later dates yet. Not sure yet if this one will stick around but if it does it'll be our DC3, due around the 18th.

Someone come chat to me?!

Super paranoid that I've had a false positive now - can you even get one?

Doctors' surgery just called and have asked me to go in asap with a urine sample - apparently, they've been trying to get hold of me since last Saturday when I thought I had a kidney infection but had a BFP confirmed instead.

I asked why it was so urgent and whether it could mean I'm not actually pregnant, but she just said she wasn't a doctor and couldn't answer that.

The only thing the doctor said last Saturday was that I had a high number of ketones in my urine - could that give a false result?! I'm eating and drinking, so not starved or dehydrated.

Arghh!

Zampa · 30/03/2017 15:15

Ha! I started doing the spreadsheet at work, over lunch then realised that some of the headings might give me away! Will finish off tonight.

If anyone has any category suggestions, let me know. I've got the following;

  • User name
  • Age
  • Location
  • Baby no.
  • Dates of booking in, 12 week scan, 20 week scan
  • Sex
NoCatsHere · 30/03/2017 15:33

Zampa - i think that sounds like good headings for now - we don't need tonnes of info at this stage? its nice to know the basics and a little about us like location and age etc...but any more we can save for when we are further down the line?

Shakey - I've no idea about a false positive but are you on your way to the doctors today? They will give you a definitive answer surely - have you another pregnancy test to check?

Kaydee2017 · 30/03/2017 17:12

Oh that's good then coffee! Hopefully you can get the scan booked in good time Smile my booking in was just loads of questions about me & DH, think as long as you have it & the bloods before the scan it should be fine!

Good list zampa!

Shakey I think the only things give false positives are some fertility meds? Think false positives are fairly unheard of other than that!

DryHeave · 30/03/2017 17:18

Uggggnh. I've got a rotten stinking cold and can barely keep my eyes open. As soon as I wake up I think about crawling back in to bed! I'm so tired!

I think it's officially 6 weeks today and so I have a whole week before I can phone the midwife line to get a booking in appointment.

Feeling a bit miserable and sorry for myself but at least I'm being well looked after by DH. Excuse me while I fall asleep on the sofa.

LonelyCooler · 30/03/2017 17:53

Had my first appointment today which was the group one. Basically just a presentation from the midwife to everyone.

We then had individual BMI test and carbon monoxide.I came back with very high reading for carbon monoxide, slightly worried as I don't smoke and no one in family does either. I've ordered a reader off amazon 🙈

lydiangel83 · 30/03/2017 18:17

@zampa they look like good headings thanks for starting it! I usually eat relatively healthily but had a tuna toastie and 3 chocolate bars for lunch!!!

Zampa · 30/03/2017 19:04

lydia I ate 2 doughnuts and 2 croissant today ...

Matchstickbox · 30/03/2017 19:17

I've not posted much since first hello, ok not at all, sorry. But to a miraculous thing happened, for first time in two weeks morning (all day) sickness vanished. I got to enjoy food. That is something so easily taken for granted!

butterybollocks · 30/03/2017 19:22

Lonely that's interesting about the group presentation... I've never heard of that before - how many people were there? Did everyone look a bit shifty and secretive?! I know I would! Hope you can get to the bottom of the co reading.

I am eating whatever random shit I fancy. Husband cooked me a nice pasta dinner last night - I couldn't eat it. Then woke up in the middle of the night with that gnawing hunger feeling Hmm

@zampa thanks for starting the spreadsheet :)

MrsGB2225 · 30/03/2017 19:34

Well done for the spreadsheet zampa do you want us to fill in the info?

LonelyCooler · 30/03/2017 19:36

Butterybollocks there were about 8 women and about half had brought partners/support. Was all about our local hospital and what facility's they have, food to eat, vitamins to take and screening tests available. No one spoke to each other was all a bit awkward.

I totally know the feeling of eating everything in sight !!

Zampa · 30/03/2017 20:15

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cs0BB4r5sVNEDGjPWM96Ijscv7t7xSaZtLl9KdTuZtQ/edit?usp=sharing

Right, hopefully this works ... I have filled in the basics. Apologies if I have got anybody's details wrong or missed anyone out ... fill in what you want, if you want ...

Stuckinstressville · 30/03/2017 20:26

Zampa is hospital or home birth an option we can add?

Stuckinstressville · 30/03/2017 20:29

Am clinging on to something god knows what. I keep expecting to have the mc. Symptoms are average with nausea but nothing else and hat could be my anxiety.

Bloods tomrrrow then I call at midday for verdict and plan.
Has anyone had an ectopic before? When did you discover it? Does it hurt? Trying not to google but I ... just .... can't.... stop! Stupid phrase on my notes - pregnancy of unknown location can do one.

Zampa · 30/03/2017 21:52

Keeping everything crossed for you Stuck. Hope that it's good news tomorrow

Anyone can add edit the spreadsheet, please feel free to add a column (if I've set it up correctly!).

kimblesj · 30/03/2017 22:55

I had my booking appointment today with my very pregnant midwife. She was actually really good and extremely reassuring. She has booked me a scan for next Friday morning and my due date has been changed to the 21st.

kimblesj · 30/03/2017 22:57

Argh pressed to soon. She mentioned they no longer listen in on the heartbeat, not sure if that is a regional thing or not. It definitely wasn't the case this time last year. She said women pay more attention to the fact they hear a heartbeat than on baby's movement so they don't do it at all. Anyone else been told this?

stuckinny · 31/03/2017 03:39

We got to see the little alien today (DP hates me calling it that but it really is what it looks like. I'll think of something more appropriate once it stops bothering him so much Smile ). All looks good. According to the scan my due date should be 9/11. Since they had given me 11/11 they decided to split the difference.
I was told that I could have bloods taken after 10 weeks for the harmony test. Thankfully the centre is open Easter Monday as I'm away from Tuesday for a week. I'm hoping that a week away with DS will keep my mind off it and they'll have the results by the time we get back. I've also been booked in for a 13 week scan (the joys of being older - I get far more attention than I would like). If all goes well we'll be able to start telling people in about 5 weeks.

In the last 24 hours I've also discovered that I cannot stomach garlic at all. Given that DP is Sicilian it makes me question the validity of his heritage (his parents are both Sicilian). lol I don't know what I'm going to do when I go to their house for dinner.

I'll be thinking about you tomorrow stuck. I really hope things are okay.

harrietm87 · 31/03/2017 03:53

Yay congratulations stuck! Such great news.

I'm still on holiday (home on Saturday at 6 weeks exactly). I got my bfp on our 2nd day here and 2 weeks later it all still feels so surreal as away from home. I'm seeing my GP on Monday and have blood test on Tuesday (I'm hypothyroid - I think like some others here?).

I'm hoping I will be referred for an early scan cos of previous losses and thyroid stuff, otherwise will pay for one as I'm still so paranoid something is wrong.

Hazandduck · 31/03/2017 08:07

Ah thank you lydia! It took me ages to do that too and I got it wrong any way haha.
Stuck I must have missed your post I'm so sorry you are going through this, hopefully you'll have some answers soon. X

Hazandduck · 31/03/2017 08:11

kimbles the midwife tried to find a heartbeat when I went last summer but didn't find one (I miscarried shortly after.) She said it was up to me and she didn't want to do it if it would make me worry, so in our area (Hampshire) they do still I think or they did last summer x

Kaydee2017 · 31/03/2017 08:54

7+1 & the sickness / nausea has got me 😷

NoCatsHere · 31/03/2017 09:09

Morning all 6+3 today and counting the days to make it past 6+6 which is monday.... first MC milestone to get past.

lonley that's really interesting they did a carbon monoxide test...i wonder if that happens in other places. DO you live near a busy road - sometimes that can affect levels.

stuck masses of luck today. I had the 'pregnancy of unknown location' too, unfortunately in my case it meant they couldn't see a baby but i was still pregnant. I was bleeding a lot though but a week later the bleeding stopped and i had a neg pregnancy test. I had no eptopic. I think an eptopic is really painful though so unless you are in major pain hopefully its not that. I obviously hope its not a miscarriage either - at least you'll know more in a few hours.

NoCatsHere · 31/03/2017 09:14

stuckinny i'm older too - same age as you i think.... i'm wondering about the harmony test - but is it very expensive? Id like peace of mind. Be interesting to see how being older affects things. Will see what the midwife says at the booking in appointment in a couple of weeks.
