All the horse talk is making me nostalgic. I used to ride as a child but haven't for twenty years or so! Occasionally get the urge to start again but the cost of lessons and the fact I can't drive to get to the stables always puts me off. Funny about the bruised vag!! Sounds so old fashioned, like when they used to tell women they couldn't go running because their womb would fall out!

Hope you're doing ok play and the spotting has stopped. I had a tiny bit of pink/brown blood yesterday but it's not happened again so I'm pretending I imagined it.

Scan tomorrow when I'll be exactly 9 weeks. It's really late in the day so I'll have all day to get wound up about it, great!

Has anyone been prescribed Premethazine? Saw the GP today who said it's great I'm feeling sick (wanted to throw something at her) as the baby should be developing well but didn't seem keen to give cyclizine or ondansetron which are the drugs I'm used to (being a recovery nurse). Anyway it's a type of antihistamine and they knock me out so she said to take it at night. I'm a bit suspicious of it so any experiences would be great.

Cravings getting quite odd. Just eaten a whole cucumber with a home made salt and vinegar dip.

Sorry to read you're concerned Play... But it does seem that spotting is quite normal from what others have said, so fingers crossed you are fine.

Today I have felt slightly less sick and my mood was much improved as I went for a private early scan. All was looking good and we saw the lovely heartbeat. It's made me relax so much and think that we might actually have a baby in 7 months. Still looking forward to the 12 week scan though!

Sorry for the spotting Play fingers crossed for you! Maybe call EPU if it gets any worse before Friday?

Today i'm getting myself really psyched out about the Scan on Monday... i feel like I just need to see the heartbeat... i know from my previous scans that i was dated on the dot so if they try to put me back or there is no heartbeat I am deffo out... this is obviously a completely irrational fear for which i have no medical reason to believe that will be the outcome of the scan lol

Hi ladies. I hope you are all well. I have joined the early November thread because I found out I was pregnant 23rd Feb. But I am still breastfeeding 8 month old dd and my one and only lmp was 2nd Jan so midwife is booking me this week using that date so I will be 10 wks on Monday on paper. She said she'll book me a scan in a few weeks im just up in the air not knowing how far I am. I can't help thinking I would have noticed if I concieved in Jan so im currently in limbo somewhere between 5 and 10 wks. Oh this is dc4 and I also am being awful to my husband. I think its another girl because I was horrible last time too lol

My son has really bad reflux and the last time he had a stomach bug he ended up in hospital as he couldn't keep down food for 8 days and liquid for 6 (a run of the mill bug that most people would be over in 24-48 hours has him vomiting well over 30 times a day). Eventually it took 3 doses of ondansetron to stop him from vomiting. He was given it off licence as it's only approved to be given to children who are having chemo or radiotherapy so I'm surprised it's used in pregnancy but suppose the risks of continued sickness must be greater than any from the drug.

boxes and ememem I'm sad I missed the horse chat! I have two - although I was ready to get rid of them both this morning, they were so naughty (combined with pregnancy hormones meant I was sooooo mad!). I miss riding, I've barely had the chance since my DD was born (although we have spent the last year totally gutting our house so that may have contributed to having no time!) I seem to spend all my time mucking out instead. Plus both are lame so it's not like I can do anything right now anyway. Maybe I'll get a chance to ride a bit before calling it a day. I gave up about 4/5 months last time, after a near fall off my sensible horse! Didn't want to risk it after that.

Dh has said he's going to get me a present once baby arrives. I've asked him not to call it a "push present" I just really hate that term apparently I can have anything I want. I was thinking some sort of sparkly eternity ring. We will have been together for 11 years once baby comes married for 6. Which feels like an eternity. However now I'm thinking ariats.... or both

He's terrified of horses. But has said once we get our forever home I can look to lease one. And he's totally supportive of me going back to riding asap. He's looking forward to the bonding time/alone time he'll have with baby.

Feel extremely tired today. I know it's only early but I've been awake since 430am...

I used to ride all the time. I haven't had time/money to since my boys came along. I miss it so much.

ememem, dp is hugely allergic to horses, first time he came to the yard, he didn't say anything until he stood downwind of the horse when I was grooming her (spring time so fluff everywhere), I turned around and he had gone tomato red and his face had swollen up. This was early on in our relationship, so I think he was trying not to look like a prat. Suffice to say, he did look like a complete prat when he nearly passed out, and had to be put to bed with rather hardcore anti histamines. Nowadays, he admires he stays in the car!

I must say, it's quite nice to be distracted from all the worries by something else, isn't it? Or makes it makes me feel more normal when I am at the stables, if that makes sense.

Hello, hope it is ok to join this thread, I'm currently 9weeks+6 my EDD is 9th October, this is our first baby but second pregnancy, after ttc for over a year we got our first positive, unfortunately I had a really bad bleed, after a scan I was told not only had I lost our baby but also I had a Bicornuate Uterus. We agreed to wait to ttc again at the beginning of this year with the attitude of new year new start and it worked. Because of my BU I was referred to the EPU and had a scan just under two weeks ago and showed a healthy heartbeat and foetus aged around 8weeks. This weekend though I had mild/dull cramping and spotting, it's stopped now by going to mention it on Wednesday at my first Midwife appointment.
To add to my BU I also have Rhesus Negative blood and my DH is Rhesus Positive.

Hi all. Bleeding has got heavier today and I've started cramping. Epu doesn't scan at weekends so I'll ring them tomorrow to get things brought forward and confirm what I suspect I already know. All pregnancy symptoms have pretty much gone too bar the nipples bit that's probably the progesterone. Dh keeps wanting to hug me but I just want to be left alone

Hi all, was wondering for some advice. I'm working incredibly long and busy shifts at a restaurant. Does anyone else do this? If so, how do you cope with the being sick or the nausea? I honestly feel drained! Because I can't eat a lot without wanting to be sick, I feel even more tired?! Any helpful advice?
First time pregnancy so everything is new and concerning to me haha.
