Wow, thread 3!! I've fallen behind.
My scan date came through for 20th March Smile I'm very excited, I really want to know my EDD!!

yellowfrontdoor · 10/03/2017 20:23

Loopy my sonographer told me a heartbeat should be seen by 7mm? A foetal pole over 7mm with no heartbeat 'wasn't considered viable' according to her. It's hard to gain some perspective when opinions differ so widely isn't it?

No wonder most of us are nervous wrecks!

Thanks for the positivity everyone x

Kirsty8333 · 11/03/2017 08:22

I got my scan date for 31st march. I really hope the next 3 weeks fly by! This waiting is so hard.

PlayOnWurtz · 11/03/2017 09:34

Hi all hope you're all well. Had a rotten night sleep for worrying and woken up feeling really sick (yay!?!) And boobs are starting to not hurt any more but nipples still sore (yay!?!) So I'm going to try and go with how my body feels and not worry about yesterday's scan and today it feels very pregnant.

Hope everyone has a good day.

confusedat23 · 11/03/2017 09:46

Hows everyone feeling today?

My DH is driving me insane... his attitude is just absolutely rubbish does anyone else have this problem?

It feels like every weekend atm i mention something about cleaning he gets the ump and its like having a teenage boy in the house! Then of course I get angry and do all the cleaning!!!

I feel like i dont know whether is hormones but i'm just soooo angry!!

Babycarmen · 11/03/2017 10:03

confused oh yes I know what you mean! DP is just annoying me by breathing right now.

Does anyone else find their boobs are worse at night? Mine still feel quite swollen during they day but when i wake up tossing and turning at night they are so painful it feels like the are being ripped off or something! Shock

I've still only vomited once, a week ago, but I feel so light headed and nauseous all morning from the minute I wake up til about 2/3pm it's horrendous. I'm on cyclizine and have seabands which I think help but it's m low blood pressure that's making me feel crap Sad

NotMyPenguin · 11/03/2017 10:27

Had another scan yesterday (privately, along with the Harmony test) and all looking good! I am 11+2 by my LMP but am 10+6 by the scan measurements, so must have been a bit out.

A relief as I was worried about measuring about a week behind at my first viability scan three weeks ago - but looks like everything's fine.

Feeling really nauseous almost all the time, and applying for a few jobs at the moment (I'm freelance now but want to move in-house, partly so I have something stable to return to after maternity leave) but not sure I'll be very good at interview in this state!

ememem84 · 11/03/2017 10:52

All good here. Have my sea bands on for my riding lesson (motion of the horse makes me feel even more nauseous...)

babycarmen yes! I know exactly what you mean. I think it's because my boobs are encased in a bra all day. Then at night I set them free. Ouch.

10storeylovesong · 11/03/2017 10:59

I'm starting to feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel. Still vomiting a number of times a day but less nauseous so can function slightly better!

emwithme · 11/03/2017 11:35

Still here.

Still bleeding.

Still queasy.

If I am still bleeding on Monday I need to call the EPU again.

Now I need to put my game face on because I have my best friend's little boy's first birthday party this afternoon...her family is like my family and I know when I see her mum I'm going to burst into floods of tears! (My mum died 24 years ago)

GreedyDuck · 11/03/2017 13:07

6+6 today and trying to battle off waves of pessimism. I totally hadn't dealt with how I felt about my mmc in December before this happened, and it all feels a bit surreal to be pregnant again when I would have still been pregnant. When I had dd I didn't conceive her until what would have been my previous due date had passed so it was easier to separate them in my mind.

Trying to decide whether to go for an early scan this week or next. It's my birthday on Tuesday and I'm meant to be going to a gig Friday so bad news is going to fuck up my week, but not knowing is driving me mad. My first scan with dd was at 7+4 so I feel that having another at 7+4 might be a good omen. Daft eh.

Or I could wait until 8+2 which would be the first day of Spring, which also feels positive, plus it would be a bit bigger and more conclusive.

I'm not usually superstitious in the slightest. Blush

GreedyDuck · 11/03/2017 13:08

(((em))) poor you, that's tough. Do they know?

yellowfrontdoor · 11/03/2017 13:34

We saw a little heartbeat today! And it's double the size it was 10 days ago.
So relieved for all of a day before the anxiety kicks in again!

I'm measuring 6+1.

PlayOnWurtz · 11/03/2017 14:14

I've started spotting so I think I'm out Sad

charmanar · 11/03/2017 14:26

emwithme good luck. It's ok to cry as long as it isn't too much all over the birthday boy. Have lots of cake and hope the bleeding settles soon.
greedy I'd try and hold out until over 8 weeks if you can. And I like the idea of doing the scan at the beginning of spring!
play I'm sorry, you must be so worried, I really hope it's just spotting and stops for good soon. Were you going to get another scan on Monday?
10storey how far along are you? I'm feeling worse and worse every day. I've been so inattentive to my DS and feel like the worst mum in the world.

PlayOnWurtz · 11/03/2017 16:00

Thanks charman no my scan is Friday. I've done some googling and spotting is fairly common when using progesterone so of its own isn't a problematic symptom just worrying combined with my scan

10storeylovesong · 11/03/2017 16:35

charmanar I'm 10+3 now. Week 9 was the worst for me, literally couldn't keep anything down including water, and just felt terrible. My 4 year old ds would start each day by asking me if I was still sick today. I was a rubbish mum.

I started feeling more human around the middle of this week - although not sure whether that's because it's just passing naturally or because of the ondansetron which appears a miracle drug. Either way, although I still don't feel great I can now function and made it in to work this week.

play I'm sorry to hear you're still so worried and that the scan hasn't brought you any answers. I'm on the progesterone as well and had some spotting earlier on which the midwife has since said is common with progesterone. I've heard people say they're putting it in the back way to prevent the spotting.

boxesoffrogs · 11/03/2017 17:12

Sorry to hear of all the worries going on and keeping fingers firmly crossed.

Got my booking in appt letter and nearly threw the other letter with my first scan date in it for exactly a month today... seems an awfully long time to wait with all the not knowing etc. Although it's my birthday (11th march, obviously) today, and scan is the 11th April (when I will be 12+ 4) so looking at that as some sort of omen? Mad I know... all feels so weird now, and I just hope I make it until then... worry worry worry.

ememem, I saw that you horse ride. I have a horse on loan, and find that the movement also makes me feel nauseous! Doesn't help that she is whizzy monster. When are you going to keep on riding til?

Hope everyone is having a good day. Off out this evening, concocting a cover story for the not drinking...

ememem84 · 11/03/2017 17:19

boxes my instructor has said she'll let me continue up to 6 months. She rode with her three kids up to 6 months as she said by then I'll need to pee all the time and my balance may be off. And it will most likely be uncomfortable.

I am going to continue to go to the stables and watch the lessonss/ walk with them when they hack out I think.

Initially my doctor said stop riding. It's dangerous and I'll bruise my vagina. The midwife said as long as I'm careful and take necessary precautions it's great exercise and stopping now would probably be worse for my mental health. My instructor has switched me to a more placid pony and no jumping (trotting poles and trotting over cross poles is ok providing I don't leave the ground) Other than that I do what I'm comfortable with and do what I'm told. 🐎🐎

ememem84 · 11/03/2017 17:19

Re what me doctor said. I'm not entirely sure how I could bruise my vag. He clearly hasn't ever ridden a horse.

boxesoffrogs · 11/03/2017 17:27

Ahahaha that made me chuckle just a lot... bruise your vagina????!!! Are you sure he is a doctor?! That is seriously funny. Although actually, having thought about it, I remember many years ago, I was riding a massive shire cross who was so huge that my stirrup was pretty much level with the top of the fence, he trotted to close to it, I somehow got my boot semi trapped for a second on the fence and came crashing down onto the saddle. Did actually think I had done myself some damage so maybe he has a point. Not sure how that would affect the baby though!

I am going to just take it steady, no jumping, no madness (on my part anyway, can't vouch for the mad mate), and see what happens. If all is ok at the 12 week scan then I think I might have to give her up, sad as it makes me, riding is my thing, and my release from the stresses and strains of work etc etc etc. Will have to take up knitting or something instead. Joke.

boxesoffrogs · 11/03/2017 17:28

*too
*mare.
d'oh

ememem84 · 11/03/2017 17:34

That's exactly why I started riding again. I rode as a kid had a fall then had a almost 20 year break. I was so stressed with work at the time. And it's such a stress buster for me - I'm concentrating hard on the ride so forget about all my stresses. I've built my confidence (and core strength) and absolutely love my Saturday mornings. I get to the stables early brush down and tack up ponies have my lesson untack and feed. It's my time. Even now I love that even though I have washed my hands a lot they still vaguely smell of rein leather and pony. It's an intoxicating smell. Makes me happy.

Was especially happy today - sun was shining the daffs were out. I rode without a coat and gloves for the first time this year. Beautiful day.

I'm determined to be back in the saddle as quickly as I can and re join my group. My instructor will hold my place for me. And has said she'll work to get me back to speed asap obviously because she wants my money! Ha! Baby is not riding though. That'll be mummy's thing only!! Haha!!

boxesoffrogs · 11/03/2017 18:08

Pretty much my story too! I know what you mean, it's so so so lovely to ride without a coat! And I ride in the evenings in the week, so it's great that it is actually light to ride! Love the smell, love the noises of the yard, lovely horse faces over stable doors, love the complete concentration you need when onboard... had mine on loan for coming up to three years now, she is a complete muppet but I luffs her. And you are right, baby will not be riding, faaar too expensive Grinok I lie, am totally getting it on a pony as soon as it can sit up. Dp got me some lovely shiny new artists for my bday, so been prancing around the house in them, looking forward to testing them out tomorrow!

Sorry, horse hijack of post!

boxesoffrogs · 11/03/2017 18:09

Ariats, not artists!!! What is wrong with my autocorrect today?!
