I think I've just been really stupid by helping someone carry a dishwasher. I just sold it and there was no one else here to help the guy get it in the van. My back is really hurting now but I'm just worried if I've risked a miscarriage. NHS website says heavy lifting not related to miscarriage but a lot of other sites say it does! Can't believe I was so stupid

Sophie please don't worry. That's an old wives tale. In some cultures people believe sitting on a cold floor causes miscarriage! There's a lot of rubbish out there.

The vast majority of miscarriages happen because of one single reason, the embryo was never genetically viable. Healthy pregnancies do NOT end because the mother is stressed or does something 'wrong'.

I'm sure you'll be fine Sophie. The main reason you should be careful carrying heavy things is because you are at more risk of pulling muscles due to levels of the hormone relaxin in your body.

corrin and polly I've started with some cramps today and yesterday too. Still very nauseous so don't think it's anything to worry about. Maybe just uterus stretching?

I had mild stretching pains up until 10 weeks and then they have just stopped and now im 11+2 and had nothing for over a week so im worried that baby has stopped growing

I'm 11 weeks and 1 day.

Anyone else started with the hiccups? Is that even a thing??

Every time I eat something. Almost immediately afterwards. Hiccup.

Not. Even. Remotely. Funny.

So my due date has moved out to the 4th October 12 + 6 today. Bought some sleep suits today I couldn't resist! Feeling overwhelmed with all the different sleeping receptacles and options guess there is plenty of time to navigate them all

ememem I've had hiccups, but am scared they'll lead to me being sick. Really frustrating, then I burp and feel a bit better.

I guess it might be a bit of reflux, wouldn't know as never had it.

iv had hiccups all afternoon. I'm regularly sick with hiccups with out being pregnant....this afternoon was not fun!! now have an awful headache and cannot sleep
can anyone tell I'm feeling sorry for myself?!!!

I've had hiccups every night 8pm til me going to sleep about 9/9:30 (I get up early for work).

So I had my 12 week scan yesterday ... I can confirm baby has 2 arms 2 legs a head and a heartbeat! Also was cooperating and lying still so we could get a good picture!
My due date has now been moved to 2nd October so that makes me officially 13+2 today!

All seems really real now!!

Congrats waps!

Had my blood tests with the midwife today. She told me how she manages around 95-100 families at a time. When I asked her if any women enjoyed their first trimester, she just said "No!" Made me feel a lot better as frankly these last three months have been 90% rubbish.

I have my scan today, really nervous, I wish I didnt have to wait until the end of the day!

You should have a 16 week appt with your mw Gimble. She may listen to the hb with a doppler at that appt, which is quite nice.

Cath1212 I know how you feel ... mine was only at 5.15pm yesterday ... it was the longest day at work ever! But it will be worth the wait!

GimbleInTheWabe yeah due date buddies!! I have a midwife appointment at 16 weeks ... im assuming this is normal?! This was booked when I was in for my booking in meeting. If you haven't heard anything maybe give them a call and ask the question?
I bet 30th May feels like an eternity away! I should get the date for mine in the post sometime this week.

Has anyone had anymore thoughts about finding out the gender?? At the moment we both keep changing our mind! I do want to know but at the same time I want the surprise!!
