Barnes, I go straight to the sofa when I get in (but it's not for half an hour), I'm happy to sit there all evening!

Nurse I'm going to (what will be my last for a long while) gig tomorrow - a tiny bit worried about how I'll cope standing for a few hours but it'll be ok. Finally doing something non-baby related! Have you got any nice plans?

MrsJW15 · 10/03/2017 18:59

Tea how stressful! We appointed my replacement today. Now need to negotiate start dates!

nursebickypegs · 10/03/2017 18:59

Oh I'm jealous @PeachIcedT! I'm still considering going to a gig when Bub is about 8 weeks old... not sure if I can do it though!

teainbed · 10/03/2017 19:02

My first crazy pregnant lady run to the shop at lunchtime recently was for pickled onion Monster munch! I hardly ever eat stuff like that but I just had to have them!

Big hugs and sympathies to the ladies who have had miscarriages. I felt we were done at 3 and then had an unexpected MC (using contraception, just one of those things) and we were excited about a potential number 4 and then it was all over. Set off a reaction for both of us grief wise and here we are again.

teainbed · 10/03/2017 19:04

And also to those having wobbles. I know how you feel, even now I have pangs of 'what on earth have I done?' And anxiety about coping. Sad

EsmesBees · 10/03/2017 19:15

teaspoon you are right about he coughing and the weeing. Don't forget your pelvic floor exercises ladies!

Had a fair amount of interest in my maternity cover post, and a few promising phone calls today. Worried we are cutting it a bit fine though. About two months left at work for me.

Teaspoon74 · 10/03/2017 19:26

Barnes that there is fightin' talk! Only to be resolved by a competition - how many can you get in your mouth at once?
And love the "nothing creepy" clarification!!! Grin

Nurse - don't be daft! I'm sure mine would be driving me mad if she were here. And I equally know that if the bump stuff didn't set me off something else would. Which means I miss her. And that's ok.

Teaspoon - I've added some monster munch to my weekly shop so shall let you know on Sunday! FYI - be warned, my party trick is being able to fit my fist in my mouth (can't remember how I found that out - think I saw someone do it on TV and just gave it a go) so I tend to be good at these sort of challenges GrinBlush

ClaireSunflower · 10/03/2017 20:03

Oh you've all got me wanting monster munch now! Definitely pickled onion for me though.

So tired this evening. Getting a pizza then an early night I think!

beanturnipandspud · 10/03/2017 20:03

peach I have burning right rib pain often. I think it is a foot resting in the same place over & over again so it starts to hurt. It's awful I feel your pain.

With regards to wobbles, I have had an emotional week this week. I look at my older two and wonder if we are doing the right thing. Bean & Turnip have such a strong bond. But then I think that they will have the same bind with spud. And that we can't change it now so suck it up. 🙈 spud is about to change our family dynamics forever.

Barnes 😂😂 I can too fit my fist in my mouth! I don't know how I found out either. Funnily when I was in urgent care the nurse administrating my IV antibiotics recognised me and said she had a pic on her phone of me with my first in my mouth! She is a friend of a friend. 😂 DH died of embarrassment!

So today we have officially gone to sold STC status on the house and we have had an offer accepted on a house that we want 👍🏼 estate agents reckons we can be complete in 6-8wks! So packing is on the agenda this weekend, as after this weekend I have a hen weekend, family trip to Disneyland for turnip birthday and DH on a stag weekend. Which will then leave is with potentially 2 weekends until moving day. Ahh exciting.

Oh and baby show for us tomorrow 👍🏼

beanturnipandspud · 10/03/2017 20:04

Oh and I am DEFINITELY in the pickled onion monster munch camp.

1004Rise · 10/03/2017 20:13

My DH was out today and was bringing lunch back.... I didn't quite get in on time with the request for monster munch and I haven't been out since so the craving can't be that strong (staying away from Amazon Grin)

Love the I'm not creepy clarification Barnes and that you have MM on your shopping list Wink

Wondering if there's a national midwife thread somewhere that they compare the random snacks people bring in their hospital bags.... can you imagine across the U.K. an influx of monster munch in maternity wards come May HmmWink

Had pizza for dinner, didn't help my heartburn but didn't make it worse either... I'm swaying from I'm starving to I feel sick... added to which I'm knackered from not sleeping... may have to resort to a bath to see if that helps.... must remember to get out while there's still water in it though nearly got stuck last time Blush

Congrats on the house bean good luck with the packing!

My wobbles are ridiculous... I have them about baby's first day at school, worrying about how to potty train and whether I'll have the patience, what subjects baby will pick at high school.... Hmm I'm so far into the future I know it's ridiculous but these are the wobbles I have, potentially insane!!

PeachIcedT · 10/03/2017 20:16

Great news on the speed of the house progress bean! 6-8 weeks is great and just in time for your arrival Smile. Oh no I'm sorry you have this pain too, yes I think it's a stray foot or two, and quite honestly it's worse than my episode of PGP a few weeks back, because with that at least it didn't hurt on resting. Here's hoping to those feet resting in a more comfortable space soon.

EsmesBees · 10/03/2017 20:27

bean I feel the same about going from one to two. I look at DD and she's so happy and gets so much attention, it's going to change her little world forever when her sister comes along and I worry sometimes that's she'll resent her for ruining her perfect little life. Completely irrational, but it doesn't stop the worry!

RasperryInAMelon · 10/03/2017 20:31

@Barnes79 I usually hate it when DH goes away, but as awful as it sounds - I cannot wait to get home from work tonight (yup, still not home - had THE shittest and longest day ever) and sprawl out in bed, by myself with no interruptions.

@nursebickypegs I'm aiming to not get dressed tomorrow and paint my nails and then head to Barcelona on Sunday. You?

@EsmesBees I've literally been given 8 days to do a 9 month departmental handover 😳

Good news on the house @beanturnipandspud! 👌🏻

Categorically getting Monster Munch from Sainsbury's on the way home!!

Barnes79 · 10/03/2017 20:45

Raspberry I'm not jealous of you still not being home, but SOOOOO jealous of you getting monster munch Wink

Autumnsweater · 10/03/2017 21:30

I'm off to Crufts tomorrow Grin!! Never mind baby shows Wink, am currently measuring the puppy up for a new wardrobe before she's usurped!

Autumnsweater · 10/03/2017 21:33

Flowers and nice thoughts to those having wobbles and those who've had previous miscarriages. I had a miscarriage in late 2015 and spent half of 2016 emotionally all over the place. Surprised how calm I've been during pregnancy, thought it'd make me worse. However did cry today over a totally innocent comment from Dh about how different he is from age 20 to now and wondering how different he'll be in ten years.. "I don't want you to change!!" I wailed... ConfusedBlushGrin

nursebickypegs · 10/03/2017 21:40

@Autumnsweater I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!

EsmesBees · 10/03/2017 21:40

Good luck with the handover raspberry. The end is in sight for you. We haven't even had the interviews yet, and with the pace of civil service recruitment, it does worry me they won't have anyone in place by the time I leave mid May.

Adventuregame · 10/03/2017 21:47

Pickled onion monster munch every time - just sayin !!!!

Autumnsweater · 10/03/2017 22:12

@nursebickypegs Grin my plan is to drown in a sea of retrievers, heaven! And steal a Papillon.

Badgerbird · 10/03/2017 22:18

nurse you did make me chuckle with the feral baby hunting with the cats! I do understand the feelings you felt after your miscarriage, I also felt that way, I think a lot of us do. It def needs not to be a taboo subject but because if the feelings of guilt (and lots of others!) it's sometimes tricky to talk openly about.

teaspoon, well with the violent sick strain I wasn't gonna take any chances!! And no wonder you get a bit emotional and cry sometimes!!

I'm more of a pickled onion MM girl Smile Haven't had any for years though, don't they make the acid indigestion flare up??!

peach enjoy your gig!! I love live music :)

Oh god barnes & bean you've got me sitting here with my bloody fist in my mouth!!! I can't get the thumb in, does that count as a full fist or not?!? #mycrazysaturdaynight

Plans this weekend are work and play hard and sell loads at this event we are at in Brighton! I am however letting the boys set up and I will try and take breaks after nearly breaking myself last wknd Confused

Have a good one everyone SmileCakeBrew

beanturnipandspud · 10/03/2017 22:41

😂 badger sorry but no that doesn't count. It has to be the full fist.

My maternity cover starts on Monday, a lovely man who took some time off to raise his son and has struggled to find work since. Fully qualified accountant too. I felt we should give him a shot. Good deed 😊👍🏼 hope he proves me right through, as my superiors had their reservations due to him 'being out of the rat race' so we've started him a month sooner so he has time to adjust. I am excited, he is my first ever recruit 😊

esmes I felt the same when pregnant with Turnip, but Bean loved his little sister from the start. They still won't go to sleep at night until they've given kisses and cuddles to each other and told each other they love them. Turnip also gives kisses & cuddles to spud and shouts 'love you spud' through my belly button every night. Bean isn't so bothered ... he's a cool nearly 7 year old boy now though! 😂
Doesn't stop me worrying about them and this baby all fitting in though.

Thank you everyone for congratulations. Hoping for a smooth ride with no bumps. Will have a lot to do, especially as we are moving counties. Although only 15mins away, were moving from yorkshire to Lancashire. Which means new midwives and new nhs trust! 😱 will start enquiring on Monday.
