Can anyone recommend somewhere that does maternity swimwear based on bra size? All the ones I can find are clothes size or small/medium/large etc and due to my freakishly large maternity cup size (but normal band size) they're either not sufficient to cover my boobs or too loose below and don't give any support. Getting all teary-eyed again cos of these damn boobs. Blush

mrscrocopop · 09/03/2017 20:40

Rustler - I was also measured today (went into be checked because of reduced movement) and, at 30+6 my baby is also just over the 90th percentile. I now cannot stop worrying! Ha! I'm already due to see specialist team for birth fear!

teainbed · 09/03/2017 20:46

DD2 was an epic bottle refuser. We tried everything. She went to nursery at 10 months drinking nothing except breastmilk from me. It was very stressful but nursery were used to it and she managed fine. She had loads of yoghurt and sloppy fruit purees and juice from a spoon! she fed loads at night Eventually she managed a cup and was soon drinking anything from it all by herself!

Anyway what I'm trying to say is you don't necessarily have to have everything 'right' before you go back to work.

savagehk · 09/03/2017 20:51

I went back to work mornings only from 6m. Baby refused bottle at that point but fed from me before I left and when i got back. Time between feeds gets longer quite quickly at that age as they start eating more. Don't dismiss co sleeping before trying it, it was great for us, feeding then happens without you really needing to wake up. So even though you're doing the night feeds, you're not as tired as if you had to get out of bed etc.

savagehk · 09/03/2017 20:53

Eta: as he refused bottle anyway, i never had to express for him. Expressing wasn't difficult though (i donated to milk bank, but only one bottle a day). You could actually build up quite a freezer stash if you started pumping early on.

RasperryInAMelon · 09/03/2017 20:54

Nurse I'm so pleased for you! Congratulations - bet you can't wait to tell your current employer where to shove it! 😂

Savage we were recommended by the Midwife to get some pre mixed formula and a manual breast pump packed in my hospital bag just incase and most hospitals now don't keep formula on site so better to have it available and not need it, than need it and not have it.

I'm like you Esme - I'd like to be able to express so that DH can help with some of the feeds, I know he wants to help too.

All of my friends have gotten on really well the the Tommee Tippee closer to nature Bottle teats in terms of switching between BF and bottles.

Dream I'm finding that more often than not I can't do proper meals so am eating little and often.

Cox I think I'm with you that I'd rather they fed from a bottle if they only take to one or the other.

We won't be doing co sleeping and I'm too much of an OCD freak to at least try my hardest to make sure things are working before I go back to work.

Lovely scan rustler! Not long and LO will be here! Eeeek!

29+1 today and 11 days left at work! Gah!

Badgerbird · 09/03/2017 21:07

Oooh blimey bean! Congrats and good luck!!

Glad all seems to be ok jw :) it's soooo nerve wracking sometimes isn't it!

Yay!! Congrats on job nurse!! Sounds waaaaay better Smile

lullaby23 · 10/03/2017 05:06

barnes try Brastop, Figleaves or Bravissimo?

RasperryInAMelon · 10/03/2017 06:02

Delighted with the fact that I went to bed in tears with the most horrendous upper back and rib pain, followed by being woken up at 4.30 this morning as DH clunked around the house heading off on a stag do... it's going to be a loooooooong day 😴

Barnes79 · 10/03/2017 06:32

Lullaby - thanks. Had a look but they don't do them either 😩

nursebickypegs · 10/03/2017 06:34

God I'm grumpy. DH has a cold, and is really feeling sorry for himself. Last night he stayed up and didn't "close off" the house; basically we shut all the doors so the cats don't run rampant and think it's playtime. Well one of the litter trays is upside down with litter everywhere and then they got into baby room and ran off with one of his shoes that was on the shelf. So I need to find a rogue converse in the house somewhere. Then he's kept me awake all night coughing, sneezing and asking me to rub his back. He has a cold! A cold!

I have my frigging GTT this morning and all I want to do is cancel as I want to cup of tea and some oatmeal. Sad

Rustler74 · 10/03/2017 06:40

Good luck for the rest of the day @nursebickypegs and @RasperryInAMelon because those are not good starts to the day!
GTT is PITA but quickly forgotten as I'm sure you're not queasy with needles @nursebickypegs, such a joy to be in the medical profession!

@Rustler74 thanks! So tired and feeling sick / hungry having been awake for so long now

savagehk · 10/03/2017 06:56

barnes maybe a non maternity bikini top underneath one of the maternity tankinis?

1004Rise · 10/03/2017 08:11

Yippee it's Friday Grin very ready for the weekend!

Glad all is ok MrsJW

Joining the grumpy sleep club spent most of the night trying to prop myself up at awkward angles to stop heartburn making me feel sick Sad Wasn't quite awake enough to do anything about it properly.

Hope your days get better Rasperry & nurse

nursebickypegs · 10/03/2017 08:25

Thank you everyone. Having a huge wobble today; feel like I can't cope as a mum, on the verge of tears, stressing over prams, money etc. I feel like I've made a huge mistake by having a baby. Is this totally normal? I don't know. Sad

1004Rise · 10/03/2017 08:31

Nurse definitely normal, raging hormones, lack of sleep, you're probably starving because of your GTT (that's without mentioning the lack of tea!) Doesn't make for rational thought! Flowers For you

Plan a treat for yourself after your GTT, caramel/creme eggs and monster munch seem to be popular!

savagehk · 10/03/2017 08:36

what's stressing you out about the pram?

nursebickypegs · 10/03/2017 08:48

@savagehk we got it when we had a miscarriage before. Sad It's an OBaby Monty, only a pushchair and a car seat. For some reason I've started worrying about it, I think because there is no lay down pram bit. I don't know!

nursebickypegs · 10/03/2017 08:49

@1004Rise thank you! I'm just looking forward to getting home for a cup of a tea, toast and maybe scrambled egg! Simple things.

Teaspoon74 · 10/03/2017 08:59

I can recommend the monster munch Nurse- only the yellow one though. Smile

Hope everyone's day is ok -nearly the weekend!

nursebickypegs · 10/03/2017 09:17

I've clocked a co-op near the hospital so definitely need some monster munch! Is yellow roast beef flavour? Yum yum.

newbieho · 10/03/2017 09:25

Big hug Nurse ☀️

Teaspoon74 · 10/03/2017 09:25

Nursey - yup. Steer clear of purple : pickled onion. Bleurgh Envy

newbieho · 10/03/2017 09:26
