Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

So sorry for your loss waswebb. I hope it is over quickly and you get some answers too. Be kind to yourself 💗 Xx

MsBranwen · 10/04/2017 16:44

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news @waswebb. I hope that in time the specialist is able to help you and that right now you are managing to have whatever it is that you need. Xx

So sorry to hear your news wasWebb. Lots of relaxing as hard as it seems xxx

Oddsocksforeveryone · 11/04/2017 08:34

So sorry for your loss @waswebb xx

@mrsposh with my second I could only drink sparkling water. The last one I drank almost exclusively diet caffeine free coke. This time round it's lemonade, caffeine free coke and small amounts of water.

I don't know if anyone remembers but I didn't know how far I was and have now had a very quick scan yesterday where they gave me 10+5 :) It literally played about 5 min and they didn't give me a due date because she said they'll get me in in a few weeks for a more in depth scan. Im expecting to measure a bit further when they have a good look but there was a heartbeat and we got a picture which pretty much looks like olaf from frozen.
How many times a day do you get sick before talking to the Dr about it?

PingusMistress · 11/04/2017 08:56

Very sorry to hear that waswebb. I think it is extra hard the closer you get to the 12 week mark. Hope looking after yourself.

PingusMistress · 11/04/2017 09:01

Oddsocks if you are feeling rough with sickness you should talk to the doctor, I don't think there is a magic threshold! You need to do what you can to get through it.

Lol @ baby looking like Olaf Grin

Ice cold Roses lime cordial is my drink of choice this time round. We've just run out and they are out of stock at the local supermarket. I'm sending DH on a mission later.

Does anyone know if there are hay fever remedies that are safe in pregnancy? I can't remember what I did last time but my eyes and nose have started prickling so need to get stocked up.

Mummyosborne1983 · 11/04/2017 09:31

@pingus local honey from a local farm - one spoon a day is supposed to stop hayfever. You have to start having it as soon as poss x

Oddsocksforeveryone · 11/04/2017 10:11

😊 what do you think?

Mummyagainmaybe · 11/04/2017 17:10

I have to admit that the image is sort of Olaf shaped :)

PingusMistress · 11/04/2017 21:17

I see it! Looks like baby Olaf is waving a little hand at you to say hi Grin

Good tip about the honey, thanks!

chocoraisin · 15/04/2017 22:31

Baby Olaf is cute! Lol. Will that nickname stick do you think?

hello all - anyone on their 2nd, 3rd or more pregnancy? This is baby 3 for me. I'm 10 weeks today but I swear I'm showing as big as I was at around 16 weeks last time. It's bloody hard to cover up! And my boobs are insane. I just went from a 34D into a 34 F/G. Already! Nightmare... nothing fits!! I feel a bit up and down about it tbh - definitely not glowing. At all. Just showing.

Mummyosborne1983 · 16/04/2017 08:56

Hi @chocoraisin - I'm also on my 3rd, I'm 8+2wks - not showing I don't think but the nausea and tiredness is the most extreme of all my pregancies and my boobs are also insane and sore!! Xx

Rufus200 · 16/04/2017 16:58

I'm 11+5 and already have a bump. This is baby no2. Had the SAFE test and we are clear for chromosomal abnormalities and we are in team Pink.

Last night had a bit of a drama as I had brown blood when I wiped. Spoke to a Dr at my local hospital, as early Preg unit only works 9-5 Mon-Fri, which is really helpful. Dr answered the phone to the gynae ward as no one else would answer. Had a long chat with me. Said there was absolutely nothing they can do for bleeding. You just have to wait and see. Wouldn't be able to get a scan until the EPU reopens on Tues. Finally found her HB with the Doppler, took over 30mins of just going over and over again and again. When I finally found her she wriggled away pretty quick and was difficult to find again. It is literally like finding a needle in a haystack at this stage.

As this thread is nearly full. Can whoever makes the next one make sure the name is all November, so we don't have the split again. Thanks

Skisunsnow · 16/04/2017 18:23

Also baby number 3 and 11+1. Glad my nausea is subsiding, as it has been unbearable! Been struggling with the folic acid too as been making me feel even worse. Got my dating scan next week. Definitely feeling larger that 1st and 2nd time, think I'm going to have to get DH to dig out the maternity clothes from the loft...

Rufus200 · 16/04/2017 18:49

ski the neural tube is actually closed by week 7. Any defects form very early on. So you don't need to still be taking folic acid. It is far more important pre pregnancy and the 1st few wks.

I haven't included the link as it had very distressing photos in it but is an embryology website

Baby number 2 here and I'm definitely showing already. Probably only if you know me, to strangers I just look a bit portly! My stomach muscles must be shot to bits. I got out my old maternity jeans and leggings down from the loft last week.

12 weeks today and after a few easier days my nausea has come back big style this weekend. I've felt like crap. I'm glad the weather has been rubbish so I don't feel too bad about not being able to take my daughter out to do much over Easter. Blurgh.

Unfortunately I think the late November thread has already started a new thread with late in the title. But I agree that we should be inclusive for our next thread and welcome all dates!

Only 4 days until my dating scan! It's been a long time coming...

Rufus200 · 17/04/2017 13:14

Alright I've started the next thread for all

Oh well can't make them join if they don't want to, just seems such a shame to have a divide and 2 small groups

Rufus200 · 17/04/2017 13:17
