Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

There is that I suppose, trusting its been cooked thoroughly Hmm.

Foggymist · 31/03/2017 11:01

Hotdogs are barely meat anyway, they're so heavily processed and formed from meat "paste" (oh my nauseous stomach can't even bear writing about it), so I wouldn't worry about them in terms of pregnancy/well cooked etc, very different to a rare piece of actual meat!

cnew · 31/03/2017 13:21

Very true foggymist! 😀

Hazandduck · 31/03/2017 14:19

Ew seeing it put like that does make me feel a bit queasy! Thanks foggy I will bear that in mind. Maybe I'll stick to nachos instead...

Rufus200 · 31/03/2017 15:23

I had a try with my Doppler and couldn't find anything except my own pulse. The Doppler did register a HB of 220 at the place I've been feeling cramps, which definitely wasn't mine.

bexmwood88 · 31/03/2017 22:41

Hi ladies

Is anyone else experiencing extreme bloating?! My tummy looks just about normal when I get up in the morning but by the time I get home from work I look like I'm four months gone! (I'm only 8 weeks). It's so much that my tummy feels like it's stretching already!

DuRezidal · 31/03/2017 23:07

Mine looks huge at night and then completely flat again in the morning.

FluttershyStare · 01/04/2017 08:55

Those of you who've had scan letters, what did yours say for the department?

I've had a letter through for past my 12 week mark that just says "obstetrics", I'm not sure it that's for a scan and they're extremely busy or for a consultants appoitment?

PingusMistress · 01/04/2017 09:18

I just tried with my Doppler too but couldn't find any thing except my own heartbeat. I guess 9+6 is a bit early to try. Will ration myself to one attempt per week!

user1489343787 · 01/04/2017 09:28

Hi lovely ladies. What are your thoughts on buying before 12 weeks...I'm 8 weeks iv had a scan all was well but I'm desperate to just buy a baby grow or blanket!

bexmwood88 · 01/04/2017 10:24

@user1489343787 I'm 8 weeks too. I'm resisting buying anything until 12 weeks, but I haven't got a scan booked until 12 weeks. There's a great competition on Ruth Crilly's The Uphill blog to win a sleepyhead but I'm not even letting myself enter that! I might feel differently if I had had a scan already though.

sweetandsaltypopcorn · 02/04/2017 10:26

Has anyone been to see their gp about anti sickness medications?

I can't cope with feeling nauseous 24/7! I'm only sick like once a day but the feeling is there all day and all night. I've gone off all food and it's really starting to take its toll now.

Just wondered if anyone had been prescribed anything and whether it was worth it?

Rufus200 · 02/04/2017 15:44

sweetandsalty I got cyclizine from the GP but just put it in the cupboard. I found regular B6 really helped when my nausea was bad. It has greatly subsided now.

MrsC2017 · 02/04/2017 18:43

sweetandsalty I didn't but I can totally empathise, it's horrendous, I wasn't vomiting at all just dry heaving constantly so wasn't sure I would be given anything it's so awful though, 8 weeks yesterday and I have to say I'm much improved and it just happened overnight, in fact all symptoms are massively reduce, not sure if I should freak out or not but I'm actually only feeling grateful for the reprieve and just hoping all is normal

DuRezidal · 02/04/2017 20:18

I managed to listen to my baby's heartbeat again this evening (i am 7w 5d). I heard it first time at 7w 1d and since then it had definitely moved upwards.

It is such a lovely sound.

Anyone else found their baby's heartbeat?

PingusMistress · 02/04/2017 20:32

I think I'll try vitamin b6, I'm so fed up of feeling sick all the time! Can I ask what dose is recommended and how many times a day?

CC81 · 02/04/2017 21:22

I second the B6 request... how much is recommended to beat nausea?

There's some in my daily Pregnacare tablet but obviously not enough :/

Rufus200 · 02/04/2017 21:26

You can take 200mg max B6 a day
I got 10mg tabs from boots and 50mg at Holland and Barrett. I take 10mg anytime I feel nauseous, haven't needed the 50mg. My multi bit has 34mg in it so check what is in yours.

Rufus200 · 02/04/2017 21:28

This was the info I found on B6 and anti nausea drugs

Super helpful, thank you rufus! Halo

CC81 · 02/04/2017 22:17

Ditto, thanks Rufus! :)

Hazandduck · 03/04/2017 00:04

I'd heard about B6 helping with sickness too. Fingers crossed it works for you ladies. I have Avomine for emergencies any way as I have a fear of vomiting and need them for travel sickness, the active ingredient is promethazine I think, that and prochlorezapine are prescribed safely to pregnant women. I haven't had to take any yet this pregnancy though touch wood. You can buy Avomine online x

Hazandduck · 03/04/2017 00:05

Sorry Rufus just saw your pictures with all the info in that I just pointlessly repeated 🙄 X

Hazandduck · 03/04/2017 00:07

Also duRezidal how have you heard the heartbeat? Did you get a Doppler or was it with your midwife? I'm so scared of the midwife not finding it :( It must be so nice to hear it x

Foggymist · 03/04/2017 05:09

DuRezidal I don't think anyone else is looking for the heartbeat themselves! Combination of lack of Doppler and caution as they're not really recommended so early but I take it you've experience with them due to your profession.
