Hi......anyone out there just found out they're expecting? Thought it might be nice to start a little thread!
I've tested this morning and got a feint BFP, have recently had 2 m/c so may be being optimistic but I'm tired of worrying!! If it works out it works out!! Fingers crossed. If it's a sticky one I'm due bonfire night! 5/11/17.
Anyone else out there the same??Smile

Oh no Waswebb, I'm sorry to hear all this and that it's causing you so much anxiety! Would you consider a private scan for peace of mind?
I had one last week as couldn't wait for the 12 week mark.
Another option is to call your EPU, tell them you've had previous mcs and some bleeding this time and can you come in for a scan? You don't need a referral from GP

Hazandduck · 29/03/2017 13:43

I would contact EPU, after 2 miscarriages I discovered how lovely and supportive they are, I'm sure they would want to help.
Symptoms can come and go, fingers crossed they come back in full force xx

DuRezidal · 29/03/2017 16:15

I would say the same as the others @WasWebb81. You don't want to sit worrying, especially with a history of MCs so I would get in touch with your EPU. Alternatively, you can also book a private scan for around £50.

Hazandduck · 29/03/2017 17:21

Can i ask a stupid question? If I book an early scan for when I am about 8 and a half weeks after my last period, will it show anything? Or will it show as a 6 and a half week old bean because it's from conception?

I had an early scan with my first pregnancy that I miscarried, when I thought I was 8+3 and the scanner said I was 5+3, so 3 weeks out, but it matched up with the date of DTD exactly, so was she counting from conception? That was my first month off the pill so I think I ovulated later that month.

Now I'm back in 28 day cycles I'm pretty sure I conceived this time 2 weeks after my period. Gah I just don't want to go and be unduly upset if my dates are all wrong again! I get so confused by the way things are dated.

DuRezidal · 29/03/2017 17:51

They work it out from your LMP.

So today I am 7 weeks from first day of LMP and there was a heartbeat and measured spot on for 7 weeks.

Foggymist · 29/03/2017 17:52

By 8 weeks they would definitely be able to see sac, baby/blob, they offer them from 6 weeks usually, I'm booked to have one at 7 weeks next week. Google 8 week pregnancy scan images and you'll what they see compared to 5, 6, etc.

Hazandduck · 29/03/2017 19:01

Ah Ok thank you. I guess my measurements at my early scan last time are because the baby wasn't developing properly. It was after the scan I knew something wasn't right despite the scanner saying it was fine there was a heartbeat (tiny flicker on the screen) and my OH saying it was just my dates wrong...I hate to be one of those old fashioned people to say this, but I really do think your instincts know if something isn't right, and that pregnancy I did know. It's just difficult to separate my anxiety from my instincts! Work have been pushing me to have some therapy since my miscarriages so I have finally taken them up on it (corporate pay for it!) and am starting tomorrow, I'm hoping it will help my anxiety during the next few weeks xx

Hazandduck · 29/03/2017 19:04

Ps durezidal congratulations on your healthy scan :)

WasWebb81 · 29/03/2017 19:54

Thanks ladies. I would pay for one but might phone the EPU tomorrow/Friday. Work has been mental today and got to go to bloody London tomorrow for an overnight that I absolutely can't get out of but taking my mind of it in some respects. Nothing else has happened today so hopefully being silly. Going to test in morning but that's not going to tell me anything really is it as assume would prob say preg regardless? Thank you!!

Hazandduck · 30/03/2017 08:14

Brown blood is old blood so it may just be a bit of spotting left over from an old period? And if it's stopped that's a good sign. Hope the London trip keeps you distracted! X

Morning ladies, iv had the worst sickness the last few days so have jut caught up. Been in hospital on a drip so dehydrated and got so hungry I couldn't lift my head up! Home now I had an early scan while I was there said about 6 weeks so going back in 10 days for another as baby was very small to tell exact date. It was just a blob for those asking about 6-8 week scans and it's internal just call the early pregnancy unit they will get u in asap if you have doubts or problems! Feeling very faint and dizzy and the same as a few of u get the sick feeling as if I'm hungry x

Mummyosborne1983 · 30/03/2017 10:33

Is there a list on here like on the other November thread which we update our details on?

ballroompink · 30/03/2017 12:38

Hello everyone, I've been lurking on the thread but not posting. I am 9 weeks today, pregnant with DC2 after a mc at 10 weeks last April. Last year, the thing that first made me think something was wrong was when I abruptly lost my symptoms and felt 'fine'. I tried not to worry but about 2-3 days later the mc happened. Everything has seemed fine so far but yesterday I suddenly realised my symptoms (bloatedness, nausea, extreme tiredness etc.) had pretty much gone. Since then I have been completely panicked that everything is going wrong again. I suffer from anxiety anyway and ever since yesterday it's literally all I've thought about.

DH thinks I should wait it out and see what happens. I haven't even had my booking appointment yet - it's not for another two weeks. On the local EPU website it says they will see you if you have pain, bleeding, history of ectopic pregnancy, three or more miscarriages etc. I feel like I would be overreacting to ring up and ask if they could see me purely because I did feel rough and now I suddenly don't. But it's making me so anxious and I feel like I'm just waiting for bleeding to start.

WWYD?

JulyLady7 · 30/03/2017 13:00

MummyOsborne, there was a list at the beginning on a spreadsheet, but I don't think it's been updated. If I knew how to do it, I would. It's nice to have so we can keep track of everyone's due dates etc.

bexmwood88 · 30/03/2017 13:37

Hi ladies

I'm new to this! This is my first pregnancy and due 10 November. So glad I found this thread.

It will be good to have people to talk to, waiting to tell the world seems to go on and on!

Hazandduck · 30/03/2017 13:37

ballroom I'm sorry you're feeling like this. Pregnancy after miscarriage is so hard. If it will make you feel better why not give EPU a call, perhaps with your history they will see you? X

Rufus200 · 30/03/2017 13:50

ballroom I'm 9+2 I could barely stand up last week, this week feeling much better and I've had completely normal days. I also worry that something has happened but it may just be normal and that our body adjusts to the higher HCG for a few days and then symptoms come back.

Oddsocksforeveryone · 30/03/2017 20:26

Was sick as a dog this evening but I just found babies heartbeat with the doppler so I am happy. Can't believe it. I'm always so paranoid but knowing there IS a tiny heartbeat in there I feel much better. Hope everyone is doing well xxx

PingusMistress · 30/03/2017 21:14

Oddsocks that is great, how many weeks are you? I have a Doppler from my last pregnancy but I didn't even try it until 14 weeks last time as I thought I wouldn't hear anything and just panic!

Oddsocksforeveryone · 30/03/2017 21:26

@pingu I'm not sure lol. By what may be my LMP I'm 12+3 but could be more could be less lol. I have a scan on the 10th so ill let you know.

I found heartbeat at 16 weeks last time but not sure if I tried earlier. I have really loud pulse or whatever this time so I think baby has been/is hiding behind placenta maybe?
I'm so relieved.
Baby seemed to be just behind the top of my pelvis but I think tonight I said to my husband (weird I know) that I felt like my uterus has popped up above pelvis today. I could feel it hard when I was sitting etc. I probably sound crazy lol.

Hazandduck · 31/03/2017 08:19

Going to the cinema tonight after work and was thinking I would grab a hot dog there but then I remembered reading something about hotdogs potentially causing miscarriage! Does anyone know if this is true?

ballroompink · 31/03/2017 09:16

Rufus this is what I'm hoping too! One of the main differences I've noticed in the last couple of days is my horrendous bloating disappearing but I wonder if it's down to anything I've eaten. Have been eating dried apricots this week as was feeling kind of...uncomfortable...digestion-wise. I'm going to see how I go through the day and if I still don't feel right ring the EPU. Have found out that private early scans locally are £89 so I guess that is a last resort if I am really worried.

cnew · 31/03/2017 10:06

I'd never heard to be wary of hotdogs. Just looked it up and couldnt see anything on nhs website. All meat needs to be well cooked and cured meats should have been also cooked I think. Would definitely have an ikea hotdog if i was there!

Hazandduck · 31/03/2017 10:46

Thanks cnew I'm going with workmates so wanted to be prepared before I went so I don't have to quiz the person at the counter whether the meat is cooked properly and raise anyone's suspicions! x
