Hi all, only just found out about this thread... I'm due 26th August and just can't wait now - starting to struggle in this heat! Hope everyone else is getting on okay x

Sparklyuggs · 26/05/2017 06:00

I'm struggling in the heat too, but very glad I'm no longer in London on the tube each day! At least it'll be nice weather when we're up all night with our babies.

Congratulations bryonie I hope your little one continues to thrive.

If anyone wants to join us on Facebook please pm me your email address that you are registered on Facebook with. Just in case anyone hasn't RTFT.

remzie27 · 28/05/2017 17:46

Hi all, new to the thread and first ever comment :-) Due date is 29th August

Bryonie2017 · 28/05/2017 18:31

Hi Fuggyann DD is doing great thanks! Lots of growing and no major problems she is over her birth weight now. 2 weeks old today! Feeling sorry for you all in this heat.

chelle85 · 06/06/2017 07:46

Hi. Just found this August thread. I'm due 16th August with a little boy. Can't believe there are still 10 weeks (or so...) to go! Feels like I have been pregnant forever! Thankfully not feeling too bad. Few aches and pains starting to kick in now and have to choose between eating or breathing because it is no longer possible to do both! Can't wait for our little one to be here

Gierg · 06/06/2017 09:13

Hi!

I am due the 5th August and will PM about the Facebook Group :)

I live abroad but would just love to hear from other people at the same stage as me!

Currently feeling like my bump is growing more every day...
Braxton Hicks are very annoying!
But I've still avoided Stretch marks!

:)

Gothbaby · 07/06/2017 10:12

Hey everyone, due 15th of august :) xxxx

watchingitallagain · 12/06/2017 22:18

Hi guys. Any tips for coping with a humungous bump?! It's getting close to the 100th percentile. I wasn't expecting a dainty little bump after DC2 was 9lb15 but I'm only 31 weeks and am really struggling with the weight. I've got a support belt which helps a bit but can anyone suggest anything else...

JustTrixie · 18/06/2017 11:52

Hi everyone, I joined this thread ages ago then completely fell off.
32 weeks today with my first (a girl) and this is my last week at work, am really hoping I don't go overdue or else I am in for a looong wait.
Apart from tiredness from restless legs at night and frequent toilet trips I am feeling ok.
I am the opposite Watching so can't offer any advice, only sympathy. I go to an antenatal pilates class and there are ladies who are loads bigger than me and weeks behind me.
Congratulations on your little girl Bryonie
Sparkly will pm re the facebook group.

Stinkbaby · 18/06/2017 21:01

How are you guys coping with the heat? I had to buy myself a paddling pool and put umbrellas up!
I'm using up all my holiday and then starting mat leave! Thank gawd cuz my work is like an oven in summer. Xx

MissT2095 · 19/06/2017 11:57

My lord the heat!! To be honest I haven't been coping! Just about surviving!

I'm so swollen, I've had to take off my rings off and my feet only fit in flip flops!

Oh and I nearly ripped my jeans trying to fit them over my suddenly enormous thighs!!

HaichM · 19/06/2017 16:21

Hi ladies, I joined this thread ages ago and then fell off due to struggling with hypermesis and pregnancy vertigo. Then I went back to work and time was an issue.

I am now on mat leave (thank god) so I thought it would be nice to catch up. I am 34 weeks tomorrow and will see the midwife again. I am really struggling with the heat, especially at night -not really slept the last two days -which combined with the heat during the day, seems to have made my general dizziness and nausea a bit worse. My DH has picked up a fan for me while at work, so hopefully that will help.

Counting down the days...

Stinkbaby · 19/06/2017 18:31

My friend sent me this today... very fitting!

TMI26 · 23/06/2017 00:23

Hello ladies indeed I'm the same joinedthen fell off, 32.4 weeks and we moved our mattress downstairs to survive the heatwave thankgod things have cooled down. Really suffering this final trimester the worst is the carpal tunnel it's not letting me sleep I don't know why but I have insomnia really bad- I get around 3 hours a night and it's killing me.

HaichM · 26/06/2017 20:30

I've been having lots of fun with insomnia too but not carpel tunnel, mines more my feet getting pins and needles and sore hips. Also happier it's slightly cooler as that made the nights worse. Can you nap at all during the day? I had a few days last week or the week before where I was getting about 1-2 hours at night but couldn't actually drop off during the day either but I made sure to lie down and rest as much as I could.

TMI26 · 27/06/2017 03:29

Haich, it's hit and miss during the day there are days when I'm working from home and an over come with extreme tiredness and have the cheeky nap but cannot fully switch off because I'm meant to be working. It's ironic really because I've always loved sleep and known for the dedication I have to ensuring I get my 40 winks so I really hope this goes away after the baby comes because it's awful! Have you gad your pins and needles checked out, I was adamant it was lack of iron and sleep position for months and it was only until I mentioned it to the midwife did she confirm it was carpal tunnel, just heated up some milk so going to see if that works now! How are you feelIng?

HaichM · 27/06/2017 08:30

TMI I haven't no. I figured it was just part of the whole 'restless legs' thing even without the cramping calves or something to do with my hips. I'll bring it up when I see the mw next week. I also have very itchy crook of the elbows, which I'm finding a strange place but that might just be me...

I actually slept quite well last night but the last two weeks sleeping in general has been hit and miss so I know what you mean. I'm on mat leave (didn't want the stress of moving and working at the same time) so at least I can spend time lying on the sofa doing nothing while DS is at school...

Am due 31st august with my first

LubaBubRub · 03/07/2017 08:33

Hi, bit late to party, but due August 21st. First baby, and quite shocked how Braxton Hicks getting rather more intense over last week. DH and I getting freaked out!

PancakesAndMapleSyrup · 04/07/2017 11:22

Hullk ladies!! Those who are still here!, nkt sure how the FB page is going but would imagine quite strongly due to lack of posts here Grin
How are you all doing? Im off tomorrow to be induced as DD has stopped growing and isnt happy in there anylonger which makes me 37+1. DHs work have been arse holes as we put in for his paternity to start on a specific day after a dose of annual leave so he woukd get a month at home but that starts on Mondat next week. So he has tomorrow off for induction and then back to work thurs and friday. Thankfully grandma is looking after the lther two as they broke up from school yesterday. Oh and to top everything off we are moving house next tues and weds agrrrrrhhhhhh.

HaichM · 06/07/2017 15:18

Luba: how many weeks are you? Sorry my brain isn't up to doing maths atm. I had some strong period like cramps every morning pretty much from week 30 but only a couple and they didn't last long. I've been having more serious and longer bouts of braxton hicks since week 34 (I'm now 36 weeks) though not every day until this week. I've also had lots of feelings of pressure and things being 'tight', especially in my back. They've got bad enough in the last few days that I've been wondering a few times whether labour was starting but then they stopped. Have you spoken to your midwife about them?

Pancakes: that sounds busy and stressful. I hope everything went well and you've had a relatively quick labour.

LubaBubRub · 07/07/2017 00:42

HaichM: Good to know, thanks. I'm 33+3 today, and it's not every night, but notice more because they wake me up now! Will see midwife next week, but reading up, doesn't seem too unusual (I hope). Last day of work tomorrow, so may be overdoing it a bit. But missed last day in office because of visions of waters breaking! Would be too mortifying... Today so hot, glad to be working from home anyway. So over this working life.

PancakesAndMapleSyrup · 08/07/2017 20:39

Hi ladies! DD born yesterday 7/7/17. Getting me induced took forever as the prostin tablets didnt really work 24 hrs later after 3 tablets. They brought on contractions but those then petered off. Broke my waters and gave me 2 hrs for my body to kick start things.......nope! So went on the synto drip. Now that is amazing!!! We knew that once my body actually got into regular contractions that the active phase of labout would take no time at all due to previous births. It just took forevee getting there! So synto drip for 1 hr 20 mins got good contractions going every 4 mins for 1 min. Super! Established labour to delivery then took....34 mins. Lovley!! DD is great and doing well!!! Hope you are all doing ok in the heat, the ward is unbearable!!!!!

Gierg · 09/07/2017 07:08

Coming out of lurking to say a huge Congratulations Pancakes! :) So pleased your Wee one is doing well! Can't believe there are babies arriving now.........
