I'm not on Facebook, so I'm still very keen to keep being active on this group!

As of tomorrow, I'm officially in my third trimester, and don't I know it! The aches and pains and weariness. Otherwise, all good. The baby is slap bang in the middle of growth charts, but I have a growth scan on Thurs that should provide more accurate data.

Anyone else counting down the days until the start of maternity leave? I think I have 32 days of work left 😄

Bryonie2017 · 14/05/2017 21:42

I've only gone and had her! 28+4 had a little bleed which ended in placenta previa and emergency c section!

She is in special care, intubation and ultraviolet lights weighing 2 pound 6. They did wheel me in to see her but I can't stay as my bed is too big and I'm staying in it till the morning. She did hold my finger though and is moving and opening her little eyes.

She also has hair!

I am being very positive so nobody is allowed to worry around me.

Spoiler alert: contractions hurt!!!!!!

Foncy87 · 15/05/2017 11:29

Well done Bryonie! I hope you and baby are doing well! Babies are amazing resilient little things so I'm sure she'll be fine.

thisismee · 15/05/2017 13:53

Congratulations Bryonie! My very good friend had her baby at 27+2 , little over 4 weeks ago due to same as yourself. Her little one is doing fantastic as I'm sure your little one will.

Great to see the thread active again. I'm not on Facebook either.

Third trimester aches and pains have made an appearance here. Feel so sluggish too.

thenorthernluce · 15/05/2017 15:46

Congratulations, Bryonie! Wishing you and your little girl all the best. She sounds like she's doing brilliantly, and I hope you're feeling okay, too. Must be such a shock! Please keep us updated if you can; we're all here, rooting for you and sending you lots of positive vibes.

WantingBaby1 · 15/05/2017 19:39

Congratulations bryonie! Wonderful news. At 28 weeks she's passed her two most important milestones for development so your absolutely right to be positive, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise . Well done you!

luce I'm feeling it too! 28 weeks tomorrow and feeling achy and exhausted. Can't wait to start mat leave!

MissT2095 · 15/05/2017 21:38

Wow bryonie congratulations!! Hope both you and the little lady are doing well. I had a friend who had her son at 28 weeks and you'd never know to see him now! A beautiful funny 3 year old!

Count down till mat leave has begun! Although training the worlds most annoying colleague up to provide cover is not so enjoyable!!

Fattycowagain · 15/05/2017 21:51

Congratulations!

PancakesAndMapleSyrup · 16/05/2017 09:46

Todayistuesday · 18/05/2017 06:53

Congratulations,Fatty! So very pleased for you. I'm 28 weeks after a previous miscarriage.

Todayistuesday · 18/05/2017 06:53

And congratulations, Bryony. You have every reason to be upbeat! What a shock!

ThirdThoughts · 18/05/2017 07:12

Congratulations Bryony! Glad to know you and baby are doing well and wishing you both the best over the coming weeks.

I'm mainly active on the Facebook group atm and haven't caught up with this particular thread and my edd is now August 16th :)

I'm due 16th

Brainfried1986 · 18/05/2017 07:41

Oh wow Bryony! Congratulations! Hope you're recovering ok - I can't imagine having a baby at 28 weeks. I'm feeling huge as a house now, but it's nice to know I have another 2 & 1/2 months to sort a few more things out! As with most of my pregnancy the baby likes to squish around on my bladder whenever possible, so that's a little tedious! Especially if I'm out and about. Played the pregnant card at a petrol station last week & they let me use their loo!

firsttimer12345 · 18/05/2017 07:51

Congratulations @Bryonie2017 hope you are both doing well this morning!!

28 +3 here today so reading that makes me think I need to get a wriggle on with all my buying/packing!

DinoMummy26 · 18/05/2017 07:56

Congratulations!! How are you feeling? How is she doing? So glad all went smoothly for you both! x

Bryonie2017 · 18/05/2017 08:18

Hi everybody! I was discharged from hospital the day before yesterday so my life is now mostly back and forward to hospital to see her and pumping milk!

She is doing really well, needing less and less support with breathing and we are starting to introduce tiny amounts of milk to her system.

It's funny how quickly she became a real baby, rather than a theoretical baby (if that makes sense)

I'm glad to hear about everybody's healthy pregnancies. The oly thing I have actually needed for DD since she was born is nappies, cotton wool, breast pump and bottles. She isn't even in clothes yet!

DinoMummy26 · 18/05/2017 10:22

Sounds like she's doing really well! really pleased for you all! Glad you've been discharged too and can rest up in a comfier bed!

watchingitallagain · 18/05/2017 12:46

You both sound like you're doing really well! A beautiful positive post! Smile

I bet you've not got indigestion have you?

April1984 · 19/05/2017 09:42

Congrats Brionie! I know how hard the hospital runs/milk expressing is so kudos to you and good luck with it all. 28 weeks is a fab stage and is my big milestone. My doc always tells me that hat is the big milestone as they are fully developed then it's mainly the fat then get after that and the extra maturity for their lungs. Babies at that gestation statistically do very very well and it sounds like your little one is proving that! Strong baby and strong mummy x

thenorthernluce · 19/05/2017 11:11

So pleased to hear read your update, Bryonie. You sound so strong and calm, just what your little girl needs. I'm excited to hear about her progress!

I had a growth scan yesterday and my little worm has had a massive growth spurt since 20 weeks, shooting up from around 50th to 93rd percentile! The scan put her estimates weight at 3lbs 3oz, which seems huge, but I know these things aren't always accurate, so I'm not putting too much stock in it.

We're moving house on Monday, so I'm looking forward to finally getting in all the baby stuff after then (and bossing everyone around on the day 😜).

Bryonie2017 · 19/05/2017 11:23

Wow Luce that's enormous! For a sense of scale, DD is 2lb 6 at 30+1 adjusted.

Bryonie2017 · 19/05/2017 11:28

29 + 1 even! Ah sleep deprevation

Firstimefreaked · 19/05/2017 18:55

Hi I realise Im a little late but my DD is due (apparently lol) on the 18th Aug x Hi to all the summer Mama's out there x
