Haha yes alloveragain I don't think I'll have a clue what I'm doing, it's been way too long! Lol
Good luck with your scan.

April1984 · 14/03/2017 11:14

Hi can I join, due end August with number three. I have my little 18 month old boy at home and our first little boy we lost when he was two weeks old. Once again it's a stressful pregnancy as I'm on modified bed rest (high risk of premature birth). I've joined some lovely groups that relate to my high risk status but craving a bit of normality and so thought it'd be nice to be on one of these threads! Smile

Todayistuesday · 14/03/2017 16:04

Welcome, April!

SproutsMama88 · 15/03/2017 16:38

Hello everyone!

I'm joining in too! Smile Pregnant with my first, due 3rd August. I've started to feel baby move this week (I have an anterior placenta) and things are slowly starting to feel more real... 20w scan scheduled for next week - I'm nervous but excited.

Looking forward to getting to know all of you! Smile

alloveragainchoo · 16/03/2017 11:09

Had my 20w scan yesterday, it's a boy Grin however he was very naughty and wouldn't move so couldn't get a good enough view of the heart chambers and lungs. Got to go back on Friday for another look.
The lady was wiggling my belly with great force but he would not move! By the looks of it I'm gonna be having a very naughty baby boy Wink

Brainfried1986 · 16/03/2017 15:23

How exciting alloveragain - at least you get another opportunity to see your little boy :)

Sprouts - I had my 20wk scan yesterday (due August 2nd) and it was so nice to see little one wiggling, cos I've not felt a thing yet despite being 20wks. Like you I have an anterior placenta so that might be part of it. Really hoping to feel something soon!

April1984 · 16/03/2017 16:16

Congrats alloveragain I think boys are always camera shy!

April1984 · 16/03/2017 16:18

Congrats too Brainfried. I had an anterior placenta with my first and though I felt some movements they didn't become frequent until about 22 weeks. Won't be long until you're being kicked constantly!

IntoTheWoods84 · 16/03/2017 18:14

Yay so jealous of these 20 week scans - mine is at 22 weeks. Feels very far away!

Anyway here suffering with sciatica? Never had it before but this morning I fainted from the pain 3 times. Got checked out and baby is fine - just me falling to pieces!

alloveragainchoo · 16/03/2017 20:37

Intothewoods no to be honest with you I'm not really sure what it is? I had really bad spd with my first pregnancy, and in the last couple of weeks the pain has started up again. If it's anything like I get I feel for you, it's horrible , hope your ok

IntoTheWoods84 · 16/03/2017 20:54

Ah thank you! Yes I think it's a similar thing to spd, just in the nerves on your back/pelvis. Crazy - never had back problems before so hoping it goes away or at least doesn't get worse!

Wish I was one of those ladies who loved being pregnant but it's been pretty tough on my body so far. Half way there!

whoateallthejaffacakes · 16/03/2017 22:25

who's had their whooping cough vaccine? had mine monday in right arm & flu jab in left and right arm still feels bruised although nurse administered them right at very top of shoulders Confused which could be why

Stinkbaby · 17/03/2017 08:13

I'm booked in for whooping next week. Is 19 weeks too early? I asked for flu at same time but my doctors are crap and couldn't book both at same time?

Bryonie2017 · 17/03/2017 11:45

Hi all! Just had my 20 week scan and baby was a ltitle shy eventually the verdict was girl! I love scans and I'm a little sad I've got none left to look forward to so I might have another one privately. Is that crazy?

thisismee · 17/03/2017 14:08

So exciting hearing about all your scans. It seems quite even with boy/girl ratio .
Mine is next Thursday, looking forward to seeing baby again.

I had a hospital appointment yesterday so I got to hear baby's heartbeat which was a lovely surprise.

The whooping cough jab was after 28 weeks in my previous pregnancy, I didn't realise we could have it before that now. I'd better get that booked up.

Has everyone started buying things? I haven't as yet. Once I start I don't stop buying everything in sight. Those of you with toddlers are you going to buy a double pram or make do with a buggy board?!?! I'm so undecided.

ScottishLady7 · 17/03/2017 22:18

I've had my whooping cough jag as I was told by the nurse it was now ok any time after 16 weeks!

PancakesAndMapleSyrup · 19/03/2017 00:28

Oooh nice even spread with the girl/boy ratio. We are populating the world evenly in July/aug 17!!
Im not buying anything at the moment. This is not normal for me!! But i need to get a) past the viability point and b) approved for our bloody mortgage so no spending.....booooo!
We finally at 21 weeks told our dcs! Dd pleased to be getting a live dolly. Ds sobbed for a few hours, pointed out that another sister was ruining his life and that we had said two children were enough. (Point taken!). Then proceded to ask what had happened to the 'anti baby chip' in my arm. Bloody 9 year old. He has now come round and is secretly pleased!!!

Heatherbaby · 19/03/2017 19:27

Hello to all the new joiners Smile welcome to the club!

I keep dropping off the thread as I've not joined in in a while.

So lovely to hear of 20 week scans! Mine is next week and I'm very excited to find out if it's a boy or girl!

pancakes your story made me giggle! What a smart 9yo!

I haven't started buying anything yet. Partly cos I was waiting to know the gender but also because I still feel like I have ages to go!

I have started gaining weight boooo and not in a cool celebrity bump kind of way but instead just getting chubby with no obvious baby bump yet!

Hope everyone is well. Look forward to hearing more gender reveals in the next few weeks xx

thenorthernluce · 20/03/2017 12:41

I had my 20 week scan this morning, and it was just so amazing to see my little baby wriggle around and wave on screen! All very well and healthy, and it is a girl! I'm in love with her already and cannot wait until she gets here x

ZigAZigAhh · 20/03/2017 13:20

Just popping in to say hello!

Lovely to hear about all the scans. I've got my 20 week scan next week, I don't think DH and I are going to find out what we're having although I'm definitely more keen to find out this time around than I was with DC1.

Bump is in overdrive - I am bigger at 18 weeks than I was with DC1 at 24 weeks (!)

thenorthernluce · 20/03/2017 16:04

Knickers: what's everyone doing to accommodate the bump? I bought some midis one size up, but they're now cutting my bump in half, which isn't the most polished look in my stretchy work dresses! I'm thinking low slung bikinis now. My pre-bump knickers were all high legs or shorts, so neither high nor low enough, if that makes sense!

Brainfried1986 · 20/03/2017 17:20

Thenorthernluce - yeah it's a bit of a dilemma... I've always worn thongs (having a big bum it was just always easier than having my knickers go up my bum when they weren't meant to!!!) At the mo they mostly still fit as they are low at the front, but further along the line I think I'm going to want something fuller - especially to accommodate maternity pads after birth. I think I saw some low cut briefs designed for pregnancy when I was browsing clothes on Amazon, but would be interested to know what other people have experienced with these cuts.

I bought myself some highly glamorous compression stockings and tights this week to try and stop me from fainting during concerts - I had a close run thing a couple of weeks ago when I nearly passed out onstage :s Fingers crossed the compression support will help with that!

WantingBaby1 · 21/03/2017 08:03

Hi ladies,

I fell off this thread too. Moved house last week so all a bit hectic!

Had our 20 week scan, all fine with baby girl Smile lovely to hear about all the scans. Feeling v pregnant now with a big baby bump!

alloveragainchoo · 24/03/2017 00:37

Hi ladies, so we're all around half way Grin I'm 21w and omg the kicks are so strong! I put the remote control on my bump and captured him on video kicking and the remote control jumps!
Didn't think he would be this strong so early on? Maybe because there's lots of room still in there to gain momentum??
Anyone else experiencing this?

Sparklyuggs · 25/03/2017 03:45

I'd dropped off the thread trip but glad to hear that all is going well scan wise. I've got a low anterior placenta but feel plenty of movement which is nice.

I'm planning to order the cot soon and the car seat arrived this week, all very exciting!
