TMI I'm counting down to mine too. It's on the 22nd at 10, when's yours?

I'm back to daily sickness & all day nausea this week. My spd has started too, we're only on Wednesday & it already feels like the school run is twice as long as normal Sad

MrsG280516 · 01/03/2017 19:43

My 20 week scan is on 17th March at 8.40, I can't wait! Hopefully get confirmation that we've definitely got a little girl in there Grin

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 01/03/2017 20:22

That's my eldests birthday MrsG & my friends dd birthday too. 'Tis a good Wink

thenorthernluce · 01/03/2017 20:41

My 20 week scan is on 20 March - bring it on!!

Heatherbaby · 01/03/2017 22:11

Hi everyone

How lovely to read how you're all getting on. So sorry to those still sick and nauseous. I am not severely sick but have that nausea daily. It's my second day without vomiting though so I'm counting that as a win!

Re 2nd midwife appt, mine was yesterday at 16w 5d. She took a urine sample, blood pressure and I heard the baby's heart beat too. I made my DH record it on his phone so we've been listening to it at home every now and then. It's so lovely.

My MW made me what seemed like a million appointments yesterday. I am low risk and hoping to give birth at the MLU so my antenatal checks and tour is booked there. Then I have a glucose test booked at the hospital which sounds most unpleasant, together with a few more MW appt! Considering I have no health conditions it all sounds like a bit much!

Similar to you ladies I'm very excited for the 20w scan, mine is on the 25 March and fx this is where we'll ask the gender!

Other BIG news. My belly is still quite small but I was lying in bed two days ago with my hand firmly resting low down where I assume the baby is and I felt a definite flutter! It's definitely not gas and the MW confirmed it was most likely the baby. I felt it once more today but I can't feel it very often yet. Guessing it's far too early for real kicks yet but oh my it was amazing.

Excited to hear more from you ladies Smile hope all is going well x

Tigger001 · 01/03/2017 23:25

I have just returned from my widwife appointment at 17 wks and was very happy as did not realise I would hear the heartbeat ..it was brill and made me feel much better as had a bit of an in limbo feeling after 1st scan and waiting for the 2nd scan on the 22nd March. It feels like time is flying and won't be long till the 9th Aug when I'm due.
Hope it is OK me joining in on this or if I should add myself another way ...sorry I'm a newbie ConfusedConfusedConfused

TMI26 · 02/03/2017 09:35

My due date moved to the 13tg and with work etc we could not squeeze in a new scan early so it's on the 30th which feels like an age.... heatherbby, I felt a flutter too it was very strange my husband asked can you feel the baby and then suddenly there was a fluttery type feeling I dismissed it but later on Google they said first signs are like bubbles and that the closest I could describe it but could just be gas!! Only felt it once and nothing since so may be nothing.

I'm beginning to show a little I'm sort of at that point where if I let everything hang I get side looks of is she pregnant or just fat, there were girls discussing it on he train yesterday as they wondered whether to give me a seat or not!

thisismee · 02/03/2017 09:42

Morning everyone
Thanks for the new thread! And thinking of everyone still suffering with sickness/nausea ect .

Not much to report here. I was 18 weeks yesterday. Really starting to feel kicks now. Which is amazing as my first I had an anterior placenta so didn't fell anything until around 23 weeks.
I've got a consultant app in two weeks then my anomaly scan the week after. Our trust gives them 21-22 weeks.

Lovely to hear of the private scans and finding out the sex of the baby . I think we are going to be on team yellow and to wait to find out at birth.

Hope everyone had a nice day, sun is shining here! Makes a nice change than grey skies!
Smile

firsttimer12345 · 02/03/2017 10:06

Just caught up with this lovely new thread.

Thanks everyone for the bra suggestions.

I was a 30H before and have only change slightly to a 32H but they are massive. Glad to hear a lot of you are still wearing underwires, I've tried a few non wired bras and they have no support I feel Sad

Going to the baby & toddler show in a few weeks and hot milk have a buy 2 get 1 free offer on! babyandtoddlershow.co.uk/

alloveragainchoo · 02/03/2017 10:12

I was thinking of going to the baby show this weekend at the excel, just me so I can walk round and take in all the baby stuff, never been to one before

TMI26 · 02/03/2017 11:59

Anyone read the BBC research article on treatment for pregnant women? Unserstandable tbh gps are so dismissive!

Sparklyuggs · 04/03/2017 06:24

TMI would you mind posting the link?

Allover I'm going on Sunday. No idea if it'll be good or not but I got a big discount on the tickets ages ago.

20w scan on 14th March, I'll be 20+4 Smile going away the weekend before as a childfree mini break which will be nice.

We went to my first NCT nearly new sale today and were really impressed with the quality on offer and the organisation by the volunteers. We were quite restrained, given I'm only 18 weeks, plus we're moving in April/May, but I did get a sleep genii maternity pillow for £3! We also bought a few other bits for the baby (clothes, sheets, towels, sleeping bags). There were tons and tons of clothes and toys, so I can't wait to keep going back after the baby is born.

alloveragainchoo · 04/03/2017 18:06

How do you find out where these nct sales are? Sounds like something I would like to go to

alloveragainchoo · 04/03/2017 18:09

Sorry spoke to soon, there is a search option on the website Blush

MustBeThursday · 04/03/2017 20:15

Hello all. I had my 16 week midwife appointment on Wednesday - I got to hear the heartbeat which was nice to hear, blood pressure fine etc. although I did promptly forget the few things I wanted to mention.

I don't know why but I feel really down this last week. I don't know if it's hormones or what. I feel huge already, my hairs all greasy and horrible and SPD causing some pain so maybe that's not helping. I can't remember if this is how I felt first time around.

Brainfried1986 · 04/03/2017 20:47

I felt like that a few weeks back too MustBeThursday - maybe it is a hormonal surge?

I'm feeling really unwell at the moment, bits of indigestion, not properly hungry & uncomfortable too. Feeling like I'm really making up for not having bad morning sickness up until now by feeling sick now :( Plus I'm getting impatient waiting to feel flutterings... now 18+3 so I know it's only a matter of time, but will feel better know the little one is wiggling away in there. Can't wait for my 20wk scan to get some reassurance, 11 days to go.

Timefor2 · 05/03/2017 08:00

Hi all,

Sorry I've not been great and getting back to this group, it keeps falling off my I'm On list.

Brainfried, I'm the same - desperate to get to the 20w scan in a couple of weeks now for more reassurance. Been feeling movements for weeks though, which is fab (second baby so was much earlier than last time).

I've had no sickness and been eating lots but only put on four pounds so far at 18w, think primarily due to no alcohol Blush meaning my overall weight has dropped a bit. I definitely have a big bump and it's pretty obvious to strangers I'm pregnant now. Already bored of maternity clothes! Need to find some more bits I can wear for work and some nice summer tops for once the weather starts to improve.

Miserable, wet and windy day here today!

yolkybokey · 05/03/2017 14:00

Hi all, great to read how everyone is doing, sympathy to those still feeling crap.

I had a 16 week scan with my quadruple test on Friday and it was amazing to see how much baby has grown in 2 weeks! Saw his little legs kicking and all his little ribs.
I've been moved a couple of days to 17th August
I have an anterior placenta so I probably won't feel movement for a while but I'm very impatient to start feeling something!

Nightneverchanges · 05/03/2017 19:31

This is my third baby and I'm feeling utterly dreadful. I'm beside myself with exhaustion and look like utter crap. Despite being incredibly well behaved diet wise I've piled on a stone already at 19 weeks.

The other two were much easier. I'm only 34 so not entirely over the hill yet either!

MardyBum2017 · 06/03/2017 11:16

Hey all,
I'm new to all this! Currently 15+3 weeks pregnant with first child. Due 25th August!
It's great to hear how others pregnancies are going. Unfortunately I'm suffering with hyperemesis. I have lost significant weight and still struggling to keep fluids & food down. Working my way though the medication options and have already been admitted once for dehydration, needing iv fluids. Haven't read all previous posts but has anyone else on here been suffering with this also? Have been off work a while and I'm aware that my mood is becoming low but looking forward to 20week scan in a few weeks to find out the sex! Eeeek!
xxx

SickRose · 06/03/2017 17:46

Hi Mardy, I've seen you over on the hyperemesis support forum too. I've not been too active recently as I went back to work last week after 6 weeks off. I'm finally on medication that enables me to function!
