yellow even with Ireg cycles due date and number of weeks you are should always correspond? Am I being thick? I also have long cycles. Be prepared for MW to stick wrong EDD (based on LMP and 28 day cycle) all over your notes even if you protest

Daydreamer88 I think it's a lot of form filling, medical history etc. I don't think a lot happens but I've still been counting down to mine so this all seems a bit more real!

Hi playonwurtz sorry to ask a silly question but what does a short cycle mean for due dates? I'm the same - usually 22/23 days.

Here we get the forms in advance so there's less filling out but they go over them, Which reminds me I haven't even looked in my pregnancy pack thing yet. I'm guessing since this is #2 baby they will be even less to it. I was horrified first time around with how little I seemed to see the MW.

conker (testing tag thing... don't think it's worked) I had a mmc last year too, my early scan isn't for another fortnight though, I think I'll be 9 weeks then. Mine was at the 12 wk scan was yours? I had no idea. :( I feel more pregnant now though... might be in my head! Hope all goes well for your scan, sure it will x

Thanks for the new thread! I've realised I'm now further along than I was when I mc in December (9 +2 by dates, actually about 8 as I have long cycles), hooray! Only just submitted my referral form so no booking in yet

daydreamer the first appointment is usually full medical history of you and the father, blood tests, they'll check your blood pressure and sometimes offer a flu jab although not sure they do that this late in the winter. Not massively exciting but you do get your notes and a chance to ask questions, which makes it all a bit more real.

@Daydreamer88 mine is actually tomorrow but after some scary bleeding last night I have a scan tomorrow morning (before the midwife appointment which is afternoon), so that's kind of taking all my attention. I really hope I make it to the midwife appointment and don't have to cancel after bad news at the scan I couldn't wait for a scan up until the point I actually needed one and now I'd do anything just to go back to only having the boring old booking in appointment with the midwife! Take each day as it comes, you'll soon reach your appointment and can feel like you've reached the first check point! Exciting times ahead!

daydreamer It brings them forwards. So mine are 3 days sooner than if I were a 28 day cycle (which would put me on the 27th October not the 24th). I ovulate about day 11 or 12 not day 14.

Morning ladies!

Hope you are all feeling okay and those with worries get reassurance soon. I'm still pooing like a racehorse bum on fire and feeling nauseous on and off during the day.

I had my first MW appointment yesterday, filled her in on how my birth went last time awful! and despite everything that went wrong there's no reason I can't have my baby on the island as long as I stay green pathway, or have twins or have a breech, as there's only one MW on the island. She gave me a date of 20th of march for my 12 scan. I requested an examination as last time round I went for my scan and was 19 week and had three periods - and since DD1 (13months old) I've had exactly 3 periods! And she thinks that maybe I could be 12 weeks already after feeling my tummy and using a Doppler could here what might be blood supply to the placenta ... Feeling really nervous and anxious now.

Had hilarious dream last night that during my scan they told me I was three 3 and the baby was black ... we're both white - DP didn't seem to find it so funny at 6:30 when he was heading off for work!

Luna it's up to you if you want your DP with you. I didn't bring mine, just chatted to him in advance to see if there was anything to be aware of. It's not that in depth, you would be fine on your own.

My booking in isn't for ages it feels - 7th March! Plus I have to go to the hospital where parking is awful ☹️ It's annoying that they usually do it at your house, but I live in an area they are not allowed to cover. The irritation at being on the boarder between two counties and the NHS having some silly rules. Not sure how I will entertain my DD for the whole thing!!

Thank you for the well wishes. Will let you know the verdict. I have never been more scared about anything in my life. If they take my blood pressure it's going to be sky high!

Hi, just checking on the new thread. I've finally made it to 6 weeks, which has felt like forever!
Jealous of you all having scans and appts booked, registered with gp but not heard anything from hospital or midwife yet.

Hi everyone can I join? Currently 5+5 with my first. My EDD is 23rd October.
I have my booking in appointment with the midwife today because of my family history there's a chance I could have the blood clotting disorder Factor 5 Leiden.
I haven't told anyone yet and I'm making myself so stressed about how to hide not drinking infront of my friends at a party on Saturday!

I am also 5+5 but due on 21st October, but have a 30 day cycle so maybe that's why we're different?

Good luck at your booking in appointment, hope it goes well. Re the not drinking, could you say you are on antibiotics or trying to lose weight, or have a hangover? I have only been out twice since I found out, with one friend I just told them as I couldn't hide it, and the other time I drove so that was a good excuse.

I am very worried this pregnancy isn't progressing. I got a 2-3 on a digital when I should have been at least 5+1 and am desperately hoping it was because I unthinkingly drank loads of water beforehand. I have a scan Monday week when I should be approx 7 weeks but I can't bear to go into it with hope we will see a heartbeat if there is none.

Still have mild nausea and other symptoms on and off but I feel like they're not escalating like they should. I feel stuck in limbo.
