play I don't think that is a fair interpretation of what moomin said. I think everybody has been respectful and polite so far and there is no need for anyone to leave if they don't want to.

Glitterbubble · 02/03/2017 15:45

I feel like pregnancy hormones are definitely coming in to play here Confused ....should we take it back to a positive note?!

thisismadness77 · 02/03/2017 15:47

I've eaten a whole pack of biscuits at my desk today.

PlayOnWurtz · 02/03/2017 15:48

Sorry but I do. I am an old fart with older children (secondary school age) who has serious physical and mental health issues and a history of recurrent miscarriages. I am absolutely petrified right now. So to read posts like moomin has written has cut right into me. Essentially she has written that everyone should be all peace and light and ignore the niggles. Well a cramp to someone who hasn't gone through what I and others have gone through can be ignored but to me it sends me running to the toilet worried I'm having another miscarriage.

I've had a horrendous run in with a vile midwife this week and am a complete mess of anxiety now. If I'm not allowed to talk about it here for fear of causing upset where can I talk about it?

TequilaSetAWatchman · 02/03/2017 15:50

Thanks all for the advice and helpful words - it's very reassuring Smile

@Moomin Sorry you've decided to leave, I completely get where you are coming from

TequilaSetAWatchman · 02/03/2017 15:58

Cross post with @play - I'm also sorry you've had such a hard time, and I see your point of view too. I hope you feel able to stay

Allykatz · 02/03/2017 16:06

Hi all.

Been catching up. It's a shame that people are having disagreements but that's always going to happen with a group of women and hormones.
Sorry to hear of people having losses and great to hear of the positive scans.

So last night I had a massive bleed which continued with spotting. Had no pain with it but seriously thought I'd be bowing out today.
Went to my planned scan this morning as I had no idea of dates.

It was an internal which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Saw a lovely blob with a heartbeat. Dated at 7 +6 with EDD of 13th Oct but will be earlier as I will have an elective c section.

mummabubs · 02/03/2017 16:08

I was going to say the same thing Glitterbubble but then chickened out for fear of being publicly butchered! I'm working from home today and feeling slightly guilty at the amount of sheer rubbish I've consumed in a desperate attempt to stave off the nausea. (Now wanting choc-chip biscuits thisismadness!)

Starfish83 · 02/03/2017 16:09

Lovely women, this post is a one-off from me as I choose to use MN in a positive, empathetic and supportive mode and am not one to get into conflict. Each one of our experiences will be completely different - there will be similarities that we can bond over and support each with but, ultimately, our histories are wholly individual. We can be articulate enough to disagree, as long as we frame our subjective opinions sympathetically and carefully.

On a personal level, I find the honesty within this thread to be helpful and refreshing. This is my first, much-wanted pregnancy; I have always been quite in tune with my body and cannot help but notice every new feeling. To have others who are experiencing similar feelings for the first time, the tenth time or, indeed, are experiencing something wholly different is valuable to me, and I am grateful for it this community in the early days of his exciting and scary journey.

On a lighter note, thrilled to have just found some biscuits hiding in my bag.

⭐️ xx

thisismadness77 · 02/03/2017 16:09

Great news Ally!

mummabubs · 02/03/2017 16:10

Such a relief Allykatz! I had the same experience a couple of weeks ago except they were able to detect using an ultrasound rather than internal scan. Onwards and upwards! x

Starfish83 · 02/03/2017 16:11

Great news, Ally - so pleased you had a reassuring scan. x

mummabubs · 02/03/2017 16:11

Love your post Starfish Enjoy your biscuits Smile

Allykatz · 02/03/2017 16:28

I'd also like to add that I have had a previous MC then successful birth, then this is my 3rd pregnancy.
I will talk to anyone as I'm a massive believer of talking about MC as I feel I have dealt with first well with minimum grief. And I was completely matter of fact about everything this morning.
But that's my history if anyone needs an ear x

yellowfrontdoor · 02/03/2017 16:46

Had a call from my midwife today to set up booking appt.
she said 'So, you're pregnant!' And it worries me because I just think 'well, so 3 tests told me!'
It's not helpful when DH says 'ooh you could be like that lady on call the midwife who had a phantom pregnancy' THANKS!

We have a private early scan tonight, trying to think positive & not be too nervous.

Cath1212 · 02/03/2017 16:52

I am SO hungry today, I've run out if things to eat at work Blush

Cath1212 · 02/03/2017 16:53

Good luck on the scan yellowfrontdoor and great news Ally

confusedat23 · 02/03/2017 17:29

Moomin i don't want you to leave the group and i hope its not because of what i said... i think fundamentally we were stating the same point... sometimes helpful advise can actually have an adverse effect on the reader and therefore make them not worry about something problematic and could make them panic about something completely normal.

I was told cramping and sickness at 4 weeks is normal... i pushed on until 4+4 and in the end called my mum (like any good adult does) to find out what to do... only to find out that the level i was experiencing was definately not normal and had medics panicing that i had an ectopic they could not find

We all just want to give each other love and support on here and so i hope you will continue to do so Flowers

Tigger83 · 02/03/2017 17:34

Can I ask a question I am due to have an early scan 6w+3 days next Friday due to an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy due to endo-Drs requested it, is it likely to be internal or external?! I'm not fussed either way but feel i need to prepare oh!

thisismadness77 · 02/03/2017 17:35

Internal I expect

emvy · 02/03/2017 17:37

Well this wasn't something I was expecting to check in to! It's a shame as there is certainly enough room for everyone's views and experieces - all of them help in different ways.

emvy · 02/03/2017 17:41

Just realised my comment I tried to post an hour ago just sent, sorry for random placing! Think my 3G must have gone!

tigger I would assume internal at that stage but they did try external first with me to see what they could get from that first. However, my scan wasn't because of suspected ectopic so not sure if that changes things.

autumnheart · 02/03/2017 18:00

Hi all. I've been having some mild stomach & back pain this afternoon & reading people's posts on here feel reassured that I'm not the only one. I was a bit scared but it died down fairly quickly and also have a feeling it could just be gas... Blush
Feel like my tummy's rounding! is it a) the miracle of life, b) gas or c) all the biscuits I've devoured with my pregnancy munchies...

Anotherminime · 02/03/2017 18:04

Just catching up! loopy and ally lovely news about your scans, I'm really pleased for you both.

Sorry that there has been some drama, for what it's worth, I hope no one leaves. Everyone has been very polite in their opinions and I think there is plenty of room for everyone to express their own thoughts. We all have different experiences and it's that fact that makes this a great place to be as there is usually someone who can relate to what you are experiencing!

DrMum83 · 02/03/2017 18:14

Many congrats loopy and ally so pleased for you both!
