I wish I was a no sickness person Sad roll on 12 weeks when it should stop! 6 weeks to go...

yoyozozo · 02/03/2017 07:48

Nice to know we are not alone at least. Thanks everyone for your stories. I keep telling myself not to worry until I KNOW there's something to worry about but it's hard! Let's all hope for reassuring but not debilitating levels of sickness to start today!

Anotherminime · 02/03/2017 07:56

Ladies with no sickness, really don't worry. I know exactly how you feel as I was fine all through my first pregnancy, I maybe had 30mins where I felt sick! I worried all the way up to my 12 week scan, but all was fine. I was just very lucky. No sickness is not a bad sign.

PS I get travel sick very easily so that theory does not work for me!

emvy · 02/03/2017 08:03

Also a no sickness person over here! But because of my questionable scan result last week I'm not sure I'm someone anyone should compare themselves to! I'm thinking that if all IS well at my scan on Monday then I'm incredibly lucky to have not got sickness and even if it isn't good news, then I might not be a sicky person anyway! Never actually been one of those people who picks up sickness bugs easily so don't know if that has any link! I'm sure all nothing to worry about ladies.

thisismadness77 · 02/03/2017 08:36

Thanks ladies I've been stressing about the no nausea. Convinced my boobs don't hurt as much today too! Anyone coming back to me on the sex question? :)

Anotherminime · 02/03/2017 08:40

thisismadness sorry I'd missed that, yes I'm also pretty uninspired by the concept of sex. I'm exhausted, feel huge and bloated. Not at all sexy!

10storeylovesong · 02/03/2017 08:42

That's interesting about the possible link - I get terrible travel sickness too! My mum had awful pg sickness and my midwife told me last time that there's some evidence it can be genetic?

madness no sex here since the day I got my bfp. Both too scared of any minuscule possible risk, plus it's hard to fit it in around vomming! I'm not feeling very sexy at the minute!

thisismadness77 · 02/03/2017 08:45

Ace. So we are agreed? Nobody puts out... it just makes the rest of us look bad haha :)

MoominMama22 · 02/03/2017 08:58

Echoing what's already been said but please don't worry about lack of sickness. I had HG right to the bitter end last time and even then didn't kick in til 6 weeks. Also, I know many very successful pregnancies where the mum just wasn't sick. Just because they say, to comfort us vomiters, 'it's a good sign' - it really doesn't mean that not vomming is a bad sign.
Also, without meaning to be a complete patronising di*k, please don't demand scans from your doctor for no other reason that you're cramping a bit. Massive body changes are happening we are growing a human! it can hurt, a lot.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 02/03/2017 08:59

If this baby sticks there will be no sex here until next year. I wouldn't be taking any chances whilst pregnant and will have the CS to recover from after that.

Got my scan today and dreading it. I didn't wake up in the night last night at all, slept until 5.26 and so am worried it's going to have stopped developing. Really hate the effects of RMC. I know it's a numbers game but after 12 losses, life would be an utter bitch if after making it this far on the new meds , this one hasn't worked out either.

tabletopsbs6 · 02/03/2017 09:02

Has anyone else experienced any weird discharge their pregnancy??

I had slight spotting at 4w and 6w - literally only a wipe and that was that. Have had scan confirming everything okay thus far...

Now for the TMI.. I've had almost very very light caramel coloured discharged this morning. It's nowhere near dark enough to be classed as brown, and not pink enough to be classed as pink. I also had come mild cramping - but I was also constipated and needed to (finally!) go, so... It's not a lot of discharge - the regular amount, it's just the colour seems a little off to me... normal? I'm circa 10w tomorrow x

DancingUnicorn · 02/03/2017 09:05

Really hoping everything is ok for you today loopy! Must be terrifying, but fx this one is a perfect sticky little thing! 💐

thisismadness77 · 02/03/2017 09:06

Thinking of you Loopy!

mummabubs · 02/03/2017 09:17

Fingers crossed for you today Loopy 😊

And to those worrying about lack of sickness I was relishing in the fact that I wasn't experiencing any of the nausea or sickness and than bang on 8 weeks from there onwards I've had nausea that's progressed to morning upchucks... I would very much like to return to the no-sickness camp!! 😂 I know so many people who had no sickness through the entire of their pregnancy so on it's own no sickness is definitely nothing to worry about!! Xx

thisismadness77 · 02/03/2017 09:28

Tabletop, I think i would just keep an eye out... as long as not smelly and excessive I expect it's nothing to worry about. I've not had it since pg but def before I have.

confusedat23 · 02/03/2017 09:48

Good luck to you Loopy

Also Moomin i am going to say your words although well meaning could be dangerous to mention to someone... Ectopic Pregnancies are a real big risk to us women and as much as pregnancy is meant to ache a bit every doctor i have spoken to is concerned if you are feeling anything more than your normal period type cramps as everything is stretching etc. If anyone has strong enough pain to wake them whilst asleep and it is definately focussed to one side you need to see a medical professional. As someone who is currently under the care of EPU for Severe Stomach Cramps you should never be afraid to ask for help (most doctors will then send you for a scan anyways). This is why EPU and Gyne Ultrasound departments exist afterall =)

Lovechild2016 · 02/03/2017 10:12

tabletop I have had the same caramel coloured discharge and lots of it. Not smelly or uncomfortable so I think it's normal.

Wish I was one of those who didn't get nausea, was sick before I went to bed then in the shower this morning, 7 weeks today!

There is supposed to be a genetic link and also if you have had previous HG, migraines, travel sickness or post-op nausea and vomiting and don't smoke you are higher risk for having worse morning sickness. I have all of the above (except its first preg) so it's no surprise to me!

charmanar · 02/03/2017 10:40

loopy good luck for your scan xxx

ThatGirl82 · 02/03/2017 10:48

I am having a day where I hate everybody. I could really do with not being at work because I'm worried I may lose the plot with someone Sad.

Also, still no sickness but after reading all the posts regarding this, I am feeling much better and realising it's still early days at 6+5. So thank you to all those who posted about it Smile.

Glitterbubble · 02/03/2017 11:21

Morning ladies,

Anyone notice their hair is more greasy?? I used to be able to get away with only washing it every few days, it's almost like it needs washing daily now??

I am also starting to get a little anxious at my lack of symptoms, was sick at 5+6 but nothing really since, some slight nausea but nothing stopping me going about my day, and today I'm pretty much fine, I'm now 6+4.
That is reassuring confused I don't get travel or sea sickness, so could be some truth in that. Also trying to remind myself that my friend had zero sickness what so ever and had a very healthy baby! I think I feel this way because nothing seems like it's happening and my scan isn't until 11th April. Feels like forever away!!

Thinking of you loopy xxx

leannejade · 02/03/2017 11:36

I've made an appointment with the doctor for tomorrow. With my really bad back and cramps being the only symptom it's making me very anxious and upset so an appointment with a doctor is gonna make me feel better or at least give me more understanding as to what is happening as it's getting me down.

Cath1212 · 02/03/2017 11:38

Hi
I am the same, 8 weeks today with not that many symptoms besides slightly sore boobs and needing to wee alot in the night. I had two very nauseous days at the weekend but it seems to have died down.
We cant win really, we want symptoms to help provide some reassurance but then they make us miserable when there are here!
Trying to not obsess over symptoms too much before I drive my DH nuts!!

tabletopsbs6 · 02/03/2017 11:57

Thanks for the replies! No smell and no pain so I will assume all is fine or the time being! x

TippetyTapWriter · 02/03/2017 12:04

Best of luck for your scan loopy.

I didn't have any sickness or nausea with my first pregnancy and all was fine. Only slight nausea so far with this one (7+5 I think). My mum and aunt had no sickness at all and 5 children between them so it's really not something everyone gets. I know it's worrying though.

I had really bad cramps and back ache last night and feared the worst. But woke up with an enormous pregnant looking bump this morning so maybe it was just stretching!! Honestly it's crazy, I look several months gone and I've had to dig out my old maternity jeans. Got my booking in appointment tomorrow so I might ask if it's normal at this stage! It is second pregnancy and had a c section last time so I guess my stomach muscles are shot. Or just gas!!!

confusedat23 · 02/03/2017 12:17

How long after being referred/self refering did everyone get their booking in appointments?

I self referred 2 weeks ago and have still not heard anything Confused
