aaawww lovely muppet.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 07/03/2007 14:24

Muppet, lovely pics, so sweet. Bizarely ds1 is called Samuel Frederick, great name, very noble

foxcub · 07/03/2007 16:31

Muppet - hey congratulations What a beautiful little boy! I can see the likeness between your DP and your son - who do you think he looks like?

Kitty - Monti looks like both DS and DD. His body language is identical to DS's when born, but he has black hair and pointy eyes like DD (she looked oriental when born). His eyes are dark blue so we're waiting to see if they turn brown like DS or stay blue like DD. I love him more each time I look at him - he's so snuggly...

Amazingly he likes a dummy (the others hated dummies) which is a bit weird - he'll happily chomp on it for ages.

Now what has happened to Diva?

Booboo - how are you feeling - any signs yet?

Oh I really want all the babies out now, so we can "meet" them all.

Talking of which, I may ask Paddlechick from my local thread to post a piccie ...but listen once you get over 40 you can be excused from at least two things - one is understanding modern technology, the other is wearing G string pants!

Jay - I missed that joke earlier but I'm off to find it now...

foxcub · 07/03/2007 16:35

Jay - LOL!!!

Mossie · 07/03/2007 16:49

Oh Muppet he's so cute. Babies look so serious when they're new born as well, and you do wonder what they have to be serious about!!!

Foxy you're not the only one who wants the others out! I want mine now, all these pictures of babies have made me very

Btw, if you can be excused from understanding modern technology and wearing gstring knickers at forty, what can I be excused from in a month when I hit thirty? Can I admit my love of Abba in public then?

Mistiek · 07/03/2007 17:12

Hello All,
Wow so much to read...

Congrats to Muppet and Foxy - well done

Foxy sorry you had a bad labour - so glad to hear it all turned out right and you are home enjoying the lo.

Muppet - your little angel looks so addorable.

Well I have only been able to get on here now to chat as I was in hospital last night. I had another bleed and contractions so had to go in for a check up. I was told that its nothing to worry about and is just me cervix again (I have ectrophian cells on the outside of my cervix that bleed) but as I was having contractions they wanted to keep me in to keep an eye on things. I was told that if contractions got worse they would just deliver baby for me now.

So I went to bed feeling very hopfull had slight contractions all night and a few really strong ones but by this morning they had all stopped and the consultant let me home . So feeling very frustrated as thought I would have had baby today... it really felt like it was all kicking off...

I know my C-sec is only on the 22nd but as I am so huge and soar everyones keeps telling me I wont last till then and everytime I get pains I get hopfull. If I could hybernate for the next 2 weeks I would...

I have tried to catch up on everythign but cant remember half of what I have read so sorry for not mentioning anyone else. Hope everyone is ok and having a relaxing afternoon...

Piffle · 07/03/2007 17:23

Diva was being induced today wasn;t she?
I think kitty has her mobile so prob will be first with news?

Piffle · 07/03/2007 17:24

oh mini muppet is GORGEOUS
well done you he looks so peaceful like a future maker of world peace
Bless him

Chocolatepenny · 07/03/2007 17:46

Muppet He is so gorgeous, did you have him at RS? I was on a hospital tour on Saturday and saw somebody in a labour room I wonder was it you?
Can I be really selfish and go on about my own problems at this point?
My MIL is doing my head in, I allowed her to come around and help sort out the house 2 wks ago and she's been here nearly every bloody day.
But today I came back form a baby class to find her 'Dressing' my living room, she was putting up new curtains and had changed all my plant pots for her ones and arranged the furniture around and madly hoovering with a new hoover she has bought us. I've got a Perfectly good Hoover.ARGHHHHHHH my BP is way up and DH is so crap and pathetic he just lets her do it.
Am I being selfish? I haven't bored you with all the sordid details, she has bought us stuff and now I feel bad but If she comes in again I will explode.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 07/03/2007 17:51

OOHH Chocpenny, that would make me fume don't know what to say, but you are very right to be very peed off!!
Opps baby has just thrown ds2's book babg down the loo, best go !!

Chocolatepenny · 07/03/2007 17:55

Thanks feel like I am not an axe murderer after all. Tossing those crap plant pots out into the garden was good thearpy though.
DH watched me then said ' I hope you didn't break any of those' making me wish I saved one for the top of his head.

rosylonginglily · 07/03/2007 18:07

Chocolatepenny your mil is doing your nesting for you

Chocolatepenny · 07/03/2007 18:14

Yes she often takes over but she has a wierd house twinning thing, and trys to buy us stuff she has and vice versa.
A good case is we have just got a new kitchen and she went out and bought the same on for her utility room! She has made a nursery room and it looks like mine....'Single white Mother in Law' a grown up sequel to Single white female? OMG sorry for going on.

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 07/03/2007 18:39

That's a bit scary. I guess she's trying to show solidarity with you. I wouldn't mind that bit so much, but I would go ape if anyone touched any of my things in my house. How will you explain to her about the plant pots? It's a tricky situation. Is she easy to talk to?

TheBlonde · 07/03/2007 18:53

Many congrats Foxy and Muppet (lovely pics Muppet)

spongecake · 07/03/2007 18:56

congratulations on the new babiesand sorry about the not so great birth experience. Hope you have a whinge to the hospital.....have been lurking again as had burst of cleaning bathroom then had to lie down for the rest of the day... think bump has dropped down a bit more, and not so wiggly. LOl at squirrel nesting. assume am v squirrely at moment as no waxing until oooh ages after the birth.

hope diva is ok as well.

talked to mw today as bit worried re not so wiggly bump-after arguing with battle-axe of reeptionist at doctors who didn;t want to put me through . all those signs telling you to be nice to the staff-what about staff being nice to patients???! honestly !

Booboobedoo · 07/03/2007 19:04

Congrats Muppet! He's beautiful! You lucky, lucky ladies with your cute newborns.

Sat and fed my friend's coochy 5 month old daughter this afternoon, so have had my cuddle-fix.

Still nuffink from me. Am having a sweep on Friday, so fingers crossed.

Chocolatepenny: my MIL would be the same given half a chance. Luckily DH keeps her at arms length as it's the only way he can be civil with her. I sympathise completely. Chuck the bloody plant-pots and - if she mentions it - say you didn't really feel they were 'you'. My MIL has given us enough tat to fill the flat twice over. We give it to the charity shop. (I know it sounds terrible but seriously, if you met the woman...).

Sending lots of contraction vibes to everyone except long-distance Laidback...

Jaysecond · 07/03/2007 20:35

evening, Muppet your LO is so sweet, lovely pics you must be very proud!!

I forget who was my birthing partner? was is you?

Notihng to report still, went to MW they dont do sweeps till your 40 + 7 so thats a WEEK ON FRIDAY. grrrrrr i better not be needing that i can tell you. We are all in the same boat i know, but sometimes you feel like your on your own with feeling like you are going to explode with baby!!!

Nothing on tele, what a crap eve, going to watch Borat now, i am in need of a laugh

Chocolatepenny · 07/03/2007 20:51

bethoo · 07/03/2007 20:59

cograts to foxy and muppet, see you on the other thread!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 07/03/2007 21:35

I feel so fat that is all I have to contribute atm

LaidbackinEngland · 07/03/2007 22:10

Hi all ... got back from Cornwall safely with no sign of labour - thank goodnes !

Fantastic house (and herbal wood for all you wild women out there !) and we have put an offer in... we will hear tomorrow !

Very excited that both muppet and Fox have had their babes. Fox - sorry it wasn't a great expereince - but at least you have your yummy baby now. Muppet - great photos... Samuel looks very delicious.

So, Diva should ahve had her baby today - hopefully we will hear from her tomorrow.

Choc P - can you get a restraining order against your MIL ? Or at least an injunction until the baby is born

Evenhope - sorry your baby did not turn - at least you have a date now !

Mossy - hope you enjoyed the soup. I am bang into soup making at the moment - can I recommend blue cheese and celeriac .... domestic goddess that I am ?

Hi to everyone else too !

sazzybee · 07/03/2007 22:43

Ooh good luck laidback - hope it all works out.
Muppet - congratulations! What an utterly beautiful baby. Me and my mum were all teary.
Well I had some quite exciting contractions when I was out on a brisk walk and came home and they stopped abruptly. This baby is never coming out I don't think.
Some friends of mine came round this evening and gave me a beautiful knitted blanket they had made for the baby. I sobbed buckets - it's absolutely beautiful and I was so touched that they had gone to so much trouble.
So I'm having a celebratory glass of wine now. Then perhaps me and the little man will get a better night.
Sorry I've missed people - am slightly fed up and very knackered x

CallieNewMum · 07/03/2007 23:07

Muppet and Foxy - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Foxy, sorry your labour was bit of a nightmare, can't believe they left the bloody door open with builders outside . Looking forward to seeing pics = Muppet, Samuel is lovely, looks like he's got dead light blue eyes from picture, am I right? Glad to see you on the PN thread btw.

Good labour vibes out to Diva!

Laidback, well done for NOT having the baby.. House sounds glorious.

Jay, I PMSL at your joke, but then it is two months since the nipper was born so I have less complaints to make about the nether regions (indeed, they are a forgotten territory most of the time - and likely to remain that way for awhile too!).

Moss, your animals are gorgeous, and that is some bump - well done.

Chocolatepenny, my mum does like to come and tidy up our kitchen which annoys DP somewhat (must say I'm usually quite glad afterwards cos it's usually a bit messy ) but the idea of somebody giving the living room a makeover is appalling. Not surprised your BP went up.

Evenhope, is the baby breech? Can't remember what that EPV or whatever abbreviation means now. Good luck with turning LO if so.

Btw, does anyone ever hear from Rainbowgirl? I was thinking about her earlier, really wonder how she is getting on. I'm so sorry she doesn't post anymore - if you;re reading at all Rainbow, all the best and many hugs.

Hang in there for those still waiting to pop.

CallieNewMum · 07/03/2007 23:17

I've started an arrivals thread in post-natal section, so don't forget to add yourself to it (copy and paste and add, like we did on expecting thread) when your LOs arrive.
