Congratations on the scan Dixie. Has anyone had people ask them if they are pregnant and how have you responded. A friend asked me earlier if i had any baby news as they know about the mmc and we have been trying a while. I dont think its a coincidence though. I lied and said no and feel bad now. I didnt want to tell people until after 20 weeks but not sure if i should tell her after 12 week scan now.

turtletum · 14/02/2017 18:06

Lovely picture dixie. I've managed to maintain my weight but that's just because I piled on half a stone at Christmas then went back to eating normally in January. Scoffing lots of beige carbs at the mo to curb nausea so sure I'll be piling it all on. Eek. I was meant to have booking in today but mw was on call and had to cancel. Can't fit me in for another couple of weeks now, when I'll be past 10 weeks for the screening tests. Shock Bit sad about that. Feeling a bit teary that it got cancelled; silly hormones. I know it can't be helped but it's my first baby and I just wanted the first appointment for it to feel real. No idea when my scan will be either. I hate this not being in control. However, I've got private early scan on Thursday which I'm getting excited for. Trying to keep thoughts positive but also braced if the news isn't so good. I'm 8+3

Dixiechick1991 · 14/02/2017 19:13

Aw thanks everyone. CANt get over how much bean has changed in 3 weeks from "early scan" literally a blob with a heartbeat! My tummy so so sore now cause she really dug round to try get it to move! X

sherbertlemon17 · 14/02/2017 19:38

Congrats on your scan Dixie!

We're saving telling most people until after the scan, but we are going to tell my mum this week because it's her birthday and will make a nice early pressie. Smile Can't wait to start telling people! I feel like time is dragging so much more slowly because people don't know.

HellsBellsK · 14/02/2017 19:53

Thats such a lovely picture Dixie .

Whatwouldruthdo I am debating that myself, if we should wait till we get the results of the Panorama test that we did last week or tell people after the scan. I just want to be able to tell people and stop hiding it.

Our 12 week scan is tomorrow - hopefully everything will be okay, getting a bit nervous again.

Amz26 · 14/02/2017 19:56

sugar The little girl I look after is the only one who has asked me if I'm pregnant.. I had to say no and felt so bad after! I think a lot of people don't say anything just in case you've put on weight and the answer is NO!

turtletum I'm sorry to hear you're feeling down today! I understand it must be really frustrating to have your appointment cancelled.. don't worry about the tests I didn't have my booking appointment until I was 10+4 x x

sugarplumfairy2010 · 14/02/2017 20:12

I think she might have spotted the band on my maternity jeans or my fat belly lol. Its the first time ive seen her when i haven't had a coat on and she messaged me within an hour so dont think its coincedence. Feel bad but we have only told parents not ready to tell other people yet. I wouldn't dare ask anyone incase they have just put weight on. I have always been a size 8 so its harder to hide.

OkyDoke · 14/02/2017 20:13

Had my scan today as well! All seemed to look good, have started to tell people now too!

Good luck with the scan Hells, glad it's not just me debating.
Turtletum I was 11 weeks for my booking in appointment and just had my screening bloods done yesterday. No one seemed concerned about the timeframe. Completely understand it's frustrating though. Hopefully the private scan will put your mind a rest a little.

kep1979 · 14/02/2017 20:30

We'll start telling people after the results of the Harmony test, so just got to hide my burgeoning belly for another few weeks! But not planning on making a big announcement; at work I'll just start wearing fitted stuff again and people will quickly realise!

Lules · 14/02/2017 20:30

I'm so fed up. Was feeling better today. Thought I might have my first day without being sick but feeling awful again. I've got to get up at 5.45 for work. I don't think I can take this.

Haven't heard anything about scan or booking in appointment but I had them both at 12 weeks last time so not concerned yet.

kep1979 · 14/02/2017 20:31

Is anyone else feeling breathless? I am really struggling this afternoon/evening so have come to bed. Plus I'm shattered.

Lules · 14/02/2017 20:31

Oh should have added 8 weeks today.

Heyitsholly · 14/02/2017 20:35

I dont lie to people who ive told im trying. If i havent then i just glass over the question but i told a close friend last night as she asked directly. I think they would be hurt from the lie if you trusted them to confide in them in the first place. We were planning to wait till 12 weeks. 8+2 now

Heyitsholly · 14/02/2017 20:36

Kep i am breathless all the time. Keep getting palapations too. Even tho dr google says they are fine will discuss with midwife on thurs n let you know.
But i have high bp so it will probably be more expected. But i was not breathless with my dd

Kskifred · 14/02/2017 20:43

Turtle i will be 10 weeks on Thursday and haven't even been sent a date for my booking in appointment yet (been waiting 4 weeks!) or scan so try not to worry, midwife said they aim to see mum's by 10 weeks so fairly normal timing where I'm from. I'm getting really impatient about my scan though it's a bit annoying!

Amz have you had a scan yet? Could you be having twins if bump is big?

Kskifred · 14/02/2017 20:44

Oh and kep also suffering with breathlessness, i read somewhere it's a hormonal thing in early pregnancy

MrsK8541 · 14/02/2017 20:47

Lovely scans!!! It's reassuring that some of you are already at the point of the 12-week scan. Makes me feel like it is in sight at 9+2!

kep I am also quite breathless. Have you had your iron levels checked? It's probably just all the extra blood we now have!

Amz26 · 14/02/2017 21:06

Great scan OkyDoke 😊 Must be really nice to be able to tell people now x

Kskifred yeah I had a scan at 7weeks and there was only one baby in there! I did think I may be having twins before we went for a scan tho x

sugar oh yeah it must be so hard to hide your bump if you're only a size 8 x

roobois · 14/02/2017 21:20

Okydoke great scan Smile

Thanks ladies :) such a relief to be honest! Starting to feel more real now. I have got a little bump, i dont think anyone else would notice yet though.

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 14/02/2017 22:15

Had enough today. Earlier I was so shattered I wanted to cry. I've come home and my books are really sore and my stomach is achy. Then my husband utters the words "you're pregnant, you're not an invalid" - fing moron. Ended up crying in the kitchen. Am now sitting on sofa ignoring him. Bl*dy twat.

Isthisusernamefree · 14/02/2017 23:37

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm 9 weeks today, already had 2 scans due to previous losses, saw a heartbeat at 7+3 and have another scan on Friday which will be 9+3. My first mc was a mmc at 9+2 so super nervous about this next scan!

flymo79 · 15/02/2017 03:01

Welcome Isthis, and everything crossed for your next scan.
Great pics Dixie and Oky, am a bit envious!! Feeling a bit down and tired today. Had really bad stomach ache in the night from about 3am, think (hope) it was just the revenge of the Thai curry I had last night but really freaked me out. Dh is away from tomorrow until Saturday and it feels like a lifetime, having to be in sole charge of dd is scaring me when I feel so useless, pukey, breathless, dizzy.. And I'm not supposed to pick her up which is v difficult when I'm the only adult!!

kep1979 · 15/02/2017 07:54

Great scan pics! I feel loads behind as 8+4 and official 12 week scan not until 13 March! Although, I do have a scan a week on Saturday so that will hopefully break the wait up a bit.

Felt horribly breathless all night so slept badly but feeling marginally less so today. And working from home (as dd had a temperature yesterday and seems fine this morning but guaranteed I'll end up fetching her from nursery and didn't fancy a 140 mile round trip!)
