I had a scan booked today but I can't drag myself away from the toilet for more than 10 mins so I had to cancel. DP is so disappointed but he can see how crap I'm feeling. Nausea has really upped its game Sad
Couldn't fall asleep until 1am and then woke up at 5am, knackered! Going to try and go for a walk to try and get some fresh air. The sick bags are coming too.

OkyDoke · 21/01/2017 10:44

Our parents and siblings know but no one else yet! Cant wait to tell people now.

No private scan for us. Thought about it, but now 12 week scan date has come through i fell happier waiting. Its only a week after my payday which is only about two weeks away :)

I am feeling very guilty about work. I got a large payrise yesterday now making me the higher earner. Now rather than 8/9 months mat leave i'm probably looking at less. I just feel so bad they dont know. Im so convinced of bad news at the scan thogh. I dont know.

Fluffywallow · 21/01/2017 10:47

White I told work early because of sickness and potential redundancies (in the hope that I'll keep my job until maternity leave at least!) but other than that just my DH. It's soooo hard to hide when feeling rubbish and really moody!!!

After my scan next week all being well I'll tell a couple of close friends and my team at work as well as parents/siblings. I know you're not out of the woods completely once you've seen a heartbeat but it'll reassure me enough to let the people know, who'd need to know should the worst happen.

n0ne · 21/01/2017 10:51

Only told DH, my BF in the UK, my BF in this country, and yesterday let slip to another friend as she asked me outright and I couldn't lie to her face. Anyway, she knows about my previous mc's so I don't mind her knowing. I'm thinking of telling my sister when she comes to visit in a month's time. I'll be nearly 12w then and she'd be so thrilled (especially knowing before the rest of the family - she thinks I never tell her anything) but if it goes wrong, I'm not sure how she'll react. She can't have kids so it's a VERY touchy subject (understandably), and is quite fragile in general. Hmm, not sure now.

turtletum · 21/01/2017 11:14

Sorry to hear so many of you feeling so poorly. I'm only 5 weeks and dreading being sick. I noticed my sense of smell go into overdrive the other day but so far ok. I'm going to tell parents and siblings this weekend, as I know they'd be essential support if things don't go well. Not telling anyone else until 12 wk scan. Decided not to get an early scan unless something worries me between now and NHS scan.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 21/01/2017 11:30

I already have a girl and having similar symptoms (but not exactly the same) so think I'm having a girl again. Don't know, don't mind, won't find out. Smile

8 weeks today. Thinking about telling parents now. Might wait another week... argh don't know!

MrsY87 · 21/01/2017 12:17

We've told my parents, bro and sis. Will no doubt end up telling my BF when I next see her but other than that going to stay quiet til at least 12 weeks and hopefully a bit longer at work. Just hoping I don't start to show too early.

I already have a girl and ive felt different symptoms to when I was pregnant with her so perhaps thinking boy but I was convinced she would be a boy so I'll probably be wrong again!

Hope those of you struggling with sickness are managing to have a chilled weekend.

MouseLove · 21/01/2017 12:25

Back home. Took ages despite being in first at 8am this morning.

We saw baby's heartbeat ❤️ and everything looks good. Measuring a little smaller at 5ish weeks but baby is so small at this stage they said not to worry. I have a little cyst but nothing to worry about. Sack looks perfect shape and measured 10mm. Baby is 2mm. I go back in 2 weeks for another scan but they said it was more so just to tick a box, doctor was happy for me to wait for my 12 weeks scan now.

So, I emptied my bladder just as they called my name. I have seriously bad timing but I couldn't hold it any longer as I'd been sat for almost 2 hours by the time I was scanned. So I ended up having an internal scan too. That's when we saw baby and the flickering on screen. We're both so happy and relieved. Obviously hoping baby is growing well the next few weeks with me being on medication now too.

Thank you for all the well wishes and lovely words of encouragement. Means a lot!! X

littlepooch · 21/01/2017 12:33

Great news on your scan mouse!

I've had one scan already at 6+6 and will have another at 9 weeks. My EPU are lovely and very supportive so we're happy for me to have anothe. Got my 12 week scan through for 21 Feb too and booking in next week.

We haven't told anyone, but I'm going to tell my mum today. She will be discrete and won't tell anyone as she knows how hard early pregnancy is for me. My husband is off in a business trip to the US for a couple of weeks and I'm feeling so sick I think I'm going to need some help with DD. Hence why I've decided to tell her.

I'm convinced already I'm having a girl, maybe because I have DD so i can't imagine what having a boy would be like! I don't mind either way and we won't be finding out!

Amz26 · 21/01/2017 12:44

Thanks Pinkbottletop I'll Defo keep you all updated X

That's such good news mouse I'm really happy for you I know you was worried so hope that puts your mind at rest a little X

Amz26 · 21/01/2017 15:45

I've just got home and got my scan for the 27th Feb.. I haven't got a booking in appointment yet, is that unusual to get a scan date first?

Nw85 · 21/01/2017 16:39

So at what point should I be concerned about how ill I feel? I've not moved today. 7+1 and just feel like being sick all day every day. If this lasts for another 5weeks I don't think I'll cope.

ZylaB · 21/01/2017 16:49

nw85 it will pass, eventually!

sherbertlemon17 · 21/01/2017 16:50

Amz I'm convinced we're having twins too! They run in my family and although the thought of it is lovely, it'd be such hard work... and then I'd have an early 2 year old too 🙈

Not had any inklings whatsoever about gender this time.

That's fantastic news Mouse!

Has anyone ever suffered with really watery eyes in pregnancy before? Mine won't stop streaming!

MrsK8541 · 21/01/2017 16:57

nw85 I'm the same but only 6+1. Even knowing it will pass at some point doesn't help! Are you managing to keep fluids down?

ringroads · 21/01/2017 17:28

Fantastic news mama mouse! Conngrats x

Nw85, im afraid im in the same boat as you, im now on anti sickness as Im not coping at all. I remember around week 10 in my last pregnancy the tiredness stopped being so bad and I could actually get off the sofa. As for the nausea its alot worse this time around but subsided around week 12 last time so im hoping for the same this time. So dont worry itll subside and you will function again x

charlij91 · 21/01/2017 17:46

Hi everyone! Had my early scan yesterday and everything went perfectly. Bean is healthy and happy and we saw a very strong heartbeat. Midwife has put me as a little further along, thought I was 7+4 but I'm actually 8+6! Which means due date is 28th Aug- but I think I'll stick around this group if that's ok Smile
Absolutely over the moon and definitely feels more real now.. eek! Would recommend an early scan to anyone who feels a little unsure! Smile

Travelgeek · 21/01/2017 17:51

Ah mouse, I'm so happy for you. That's great.

We are fairly convinced it's a girl for no apparent reason. It's our first so nothing to go off to suggest it. Will be very happy either way and will ask at the scan so I guess we'll see.

Just told one of my good friends, as well as our mums, as we are away with her for the weekend and didn't want to lie about the reason for not drinking. Her reaction was the best! My mum is bursting to tell everyone so we'll tell my siblings when we see them mid-Feb, about 10 weeks. Would wait until the 12 week scan but it'll be nicer in person and we don't see them often as they both live far away from us.

Can't decide if I should feel relieved or worried at still not actually being sick yet. I calculate that I'm 6+4 today. Plenty of nausea on and off throughout the day most days though.

Hugs to those of you suffering. It will be worth it!

Heyitsholly · 21/01/2017 17:52

Congrats on the pay rise okydoke. Atleast they will be glad to have you back afterwards!
Im another no scan before 12 weeks.
Got my midwife app next friday! X

Travelgeek · 21/01/2017 17:53

Great news too Charli. You've done an extra week without even realising :) hmm...maybe I should pay for an early scan.

OkyDoke · 21/01/2017 18:24

Thanks holly, lets hope so! Chance to save a bit more cash for mat leave now too!

I've got a date of 28/8 too charli, i felt very far behind in the August group but i do pop my head in every now and again! I am hoping for a September baby though. Wishful thinking?!

Shwighty1 · 21/01/2017 18:59

amz I guess it depends on your health authority but I think ito a bit odd as you normally get a pregnancy pack with all the info about appointments etc so by then you'll be a 1/3 of the way through. I'd be tempted to speak to your Dr or midwife if you have one

charlij91 · 21/01/2017 19:00

OkyDoke I'm the same! I've always wanted an early September baby, so keeping my fingers (and legs!) crossed!

Fluffywallow · 21/01/2017 19:02

Congrats on the lovely scans, great news Smile

Amz where I live you have to book your booking in appt yourself via the gp surgery. Maybe give them a call? My 12 week scan was just arranged by the hospital after my gp referred me.

Also I had my flu jab when I went to the gps, it's recommended for pregnant women - so worth mentioning that too.

Kskifred · 21/01/2017 20:32

Praying my sickness also goes soon...it relents slightly in the evenings but i have barely moved today, and been looking after ds whilst dh at work...he's been so good for me today though bless him but got to pull myself together to take him to sports groups tomo, not his fault is it. Bought those bands but they haven't done much.
