Thanks for explaining that hummus

Also how cute is that baby bump Amz! Love it. Mine is definitely bloating. I wake up with a flat stomach and go to bed looking like I'm 4 months pregnant not 2 months!

And that is a beautiful scan picture. Welcome aboard!

Amz26 · 02/02/2017 21:19

Welcone sugar Lovely scan pic :)

Thanks ladies :) can't wait to get bigger 🙈

WhatwouldRuthdo I'm not really sure how I can hide mine for another 3 weeks either 😬 I use the BabyCenter app to take a selfie and it also comes out better than taking it without the app :)

Kskifred when did you start to show with your last pregnancy? :)

Amz26 · 02/02/2017 21:22

Pinkbottletop Thanks.. yeah it's Defo bloat as the baby is sooo tiny! It's crazy how our body react.. This my first so I'm a little shocked it's happened so quick 😊

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 02/02/2017 21:27

I was briefly on the first thread -wow this one moves fast.

I had a crappy morning at work and thought I need to find out if I really am pregnant and if I'm no longer then I'm starting the job hunt. Found a scan place nearby and an hour later there I was hearing a heartbeat and being told I'm 7+4 rather than the 7 I thought I was. Was so lovely to hear a heartbeat! My DS was with me and couldn't have been less interested!

Anyway, for now that means I'm staying put in my job. That does at least mean I won't get to do the 26 reviews I had to write last November-it was horrific!

So far my symptoms have been a bit nauseous, bloating, slightly bigger boobs and carb addiction. Last of I already had sciatica at this stage, it was terrible and was on crutches from 15-25 weeks. Not ideal when doing a London commute.
So far just occasional sciatica twinges but nothing bad at all. I'm doing pilates twice a week so that must be helping. My lovely teacher said I can stay in the classs until baby arrives which is great. Last time I found antenatal yoga pretty dull!

Haven't heard anything about booking in appointment or NHS scan yet. Because I have PCOS my dates are a bit wonky and I should be 9 weeks going in my period dates but I have longer cycles so I'm not as far along. So I should have my scan at around the 10 week mark-I'll continue to wait patiently for the postman!!

Kskifred · 02/02/2017 22:22

I started to show by 12 weeks definitely but both times the bloat is so bad it 100% makes me look bigger, i'm looking forward to the worst of it going after 12 weeks where i can concentrate on being a bit healthier again. I had a bit of a tummy last time (nothing like this time though) so did the whole hairband tie on trousers thing for a while before, i'm in mat jeans already on really bloat uncomfortable days, although normal jeans still fit most of the time.

I have my early scan tomo and i'm sooooo anxious, i don't know why. I'm petrified there will be no heartbeat. Any advice on staying calm?

flymo79 · 02/02/2017 22:38

Good luck with scan fred the odds are in your favour xxx

Fluffywallow · 03/02/2017 06:40

Lovely clear scan sugar! 21 days and counting until mine Confused

Amz what a lovely bump Smile I tried to take a photo of mine last night but it was awful, so so big!! Annoyingly this time though because I have a bit of a Mum tum, I think it might take a while to harden - I had a nice hard bump by 16 weeks last time. Oh well, we'll see.

Thanks for the tip of magnesium oil - I'll give that a try. For me a huge part of my nausea is constipation related.

londonfeather · 03/02/2017 07:32

Still no bump or no real symptoms for me other than Massive boobs and feeling a bit knackered!

roobois · 03/02/2017 07:55

Debating on telling my boss today I'm 10+3 and the symptoms are starting to reduce now but I've been doing so badly at work (I work in sales) I feel like I should explain although if I do tell her I feel like I'm jinxing it. Not sure what to do!

sherbertlemon17 · 03/02/2017 08:00

Mouse I'm so so sorry to hear your news. This is not the end of your journey, thinking positive thoughts for a speedy rainbow baby Flowers

Welcome Sugar! What a gorgeous, clear scan.

I'm just super bloated! Still fitting in my normal clothes, but I feel huge! I think it was 16 weeks that I started to show last time... or at least people started to notice.

Had my booking in on Wednesday which made everything seem a bit more real now! Can't believe I won't see the midwife again now until 16 weeks!

snoodles · 03/02/2017 08:11

Hello all, firstly so sorry to hear about all the losses. It's very sad to hear :(

I've not really posted much but have been reading all the posts! I'm about 9 +5 I think, and this week my symptoms have really slowed off which I'm a little worried about. Still a bit bloated but nauseousness has stopped, boobs aren't as sore. Sounds ridiculous but I feel like I want the symptoms! Do you think I should contact my GP about this? I might just be a worrier but not sure what to do!

puttingourhoodupdown · 03/02/2017 08:59

Morning all,

So sorry mouse Flowers

Fresh fruit juice is getting me through the nausea at the moment! Thankfully still not being sick, just feeling queasy! I'm going to book my private scan for next Saturday hopefully, eek doesn't seem too long to wait now!

I definitely have a bump and struggling to get into my skinnier jeans....thankfully I wear a lot of leggings so that's a relief!!

Off to get my bloods taken this PM with DD in tow....hopefully it won't take too long!

Amz26 · 03/02/2017 10:32

Kskifred That makes sense, I guess every pregnancy is different.. should the bloat go down then?

Fluffywallow Thanks, it's hard to get the right angle sometimes 🙈 But like I said I use an app and I think that makes it look better 😊

roobois when were you planning on telling your boss? I think if you fill the pregnancy has hindered your performance, I definitely think you should say something :)

Kskifred · 03/02/2017 11:14

It got better as i found i wasn't eating anything and everything to get through nausea so less food meant less bloat. It doesn't disappear completely though.

I'm taking ds to scan this afternoon, not ideal but no childcare, so fingers crossed all is ok, very nervous.

Gingerbreadmam · 03/02/2017 11:36

Thinking of you ksk and keeping everything crossed.

sugarplumfairy2010 · 03/02/2017 12:38

Thanks everyone even the sonographer was suprised how clear the scan was. She was the same lady who scanned me last time when it ended in a mmc. She remembered and was really happy for us as spent time trying to get us a good picture. Ive already got a little bump that gets bigger through the day lol. This pic is first thing in the morning not sure how we are going to keep it secret until after the 20 weeks scan as want to tell kids before everyone else. Only parents know now.x

WarwickAlice · 03/02/2017 12:44

Hey ladies,
I had an early scan on Wednesday - beautiful, healthy baby with a strong heartbeat :-) I've never seen anything so amazing, and really really really hoping that nothing goes wrong! I'm 9+3 today, but the sonographer says baby's measuring a little bigger. Still haven't got a date for my 12 week scan, but think this will be around 21st Feb :-) xxx

HellsBellsK · 03/02/2017 12:54

I think work have guessed - I don't know if I should just tell them now or wait till my 12 week scan. One girl keeps making remarks - hmm....

Snoodles I lost a lot of my symptoms this week I am just 10+1 today- I was getting a bit worried so booked a scan as I know I would be stressing until my next scan and asking google all types of questions. Every thing is good - I got to see baby waving and everything, it was amazing. Doctor said its normal for symptoms to come and go around this time and not to worry. I know easier said then done!

I'm stepping away from Dr.Google for a while now!

Good luck to everyone having scans today x

Great scan pic Hels!

I have appointment with dr today to get myself in the system - can't just book directly in with a mw, which is annoying!

Symptom-wise boobs don't hurt at all but feeling pretty sick constantly and having a couple of vom episodes per day. Going to be hard to hide at work if it carries on/gets worse - thankfully I am wfh today.

I'm still really anxious and counting the days until the next scan at 10 weeks when I go for the Harmony test. It feels like a long time to wait!

Fluffywallow · 03/02/2017 13:08

Hells great picture!

Sugar what a gorgeous bump. I'm pleased to see you've embraced maternity jeans too...I put mine on this morning for the first time and actually whooped in delight, the improved comfort is AMAZING. I now remember why I was reluctant to go back to normal jeans last time.....

Having a much better today (which obviously causes me to worry!) but tbh I'll take the brief respite as I'm sure this isn't going to go until 12 weeks at least. 3 weeks today until my scan.....

sugarplumfairy2010 · 03/02/2017 13:13

My normal jeans have been too tight for the last two weeks and ive been using a bobble on the button as couldn't do them up. I thought it was too early to wear maternity jeans but ive finally gave in and there so comfy.

Fluffywallow · 03/02/2017 13:22

I bust a hairband doing that which is when I thought maybe the time had come! Grin

Kskifred · 03/02/2017 13:26

lovely scan pics!

My scan was amazing, sonographer was so nice and said a brilliant strong heartbeat and little arms and legs were dancing around Smile she said it was so well formed it looked more like i was 9 weeks but baby measured 8 weeks which is what i thought. Ovaries also look healthy and said we conceived from right ovary.

Chuffed!

Fluffywallow · 03/02/2017 13:31

Aw ksk great news! How was DS?

Amz26 · 03/02/2017 13:41

Great news Kskifred I'm glad everything went well for you ;)

Lovely bump sugarplumfairy2010 I don't know how you're going to keep it to yourself either! Is that when you told everyone with your last?

Great scan pic Hells! Wish I waited a little longer to get a scan as you can see much more now :)

WarwickAlice great news!!! It's so lovely when you see the their heartbeat.. it's so emotional 😭
