Hi guys,

Is it too late to join the September party?

Last week following 3 and a half years we finally got our bfp after a week of refusing to test as I was so certain af was on her way!

Here are my stats
Age - 27
Baby number - 1
Due date - 27th September
Cycle - 42
Status - Married
Fur babies - 2 cockapoos
Location - Midlands
Finding out the sex - I think we'll find out

Would love to join the Facebook too please if possible. Would be great to share experiences and get tips from everyone Smile

Zyla great news. My dates moved around all over the place last pregnancy in the early days so expecting the same again this time. To be fair the sonographer at my early scan last week said she wouldn't be more specific than 5-6 weeks (I was 6 weeks) as boob was so small at this stage. I had scans at 7, 8, 10 and 12 weeks last time (for a variety of reasons) and the difference between the two earliest and the two latest was amazing.

Welcome Peachy congratulations to you and your DH, what a journey you've had!

Welcome Peachy - huge congratulations on your BFP. It took dh and I over three years (plus Mc) to conceive our dd who is now 12 months old. This bfp was much quicker than we'd expected!!

calimommy · 01/02/2017 14:09

Hey all I've been awake all night with my so-and-so 18mo so I'm a bit winky eyed and can't think properly to add a link but if anyone wants to join the Facebook group just search for

September 2017 Babies MN

and you will see the group. Request to join and one of us will approve you straight away.

MrsK8541 · 01/02/2017 15:30

cali I can't seem to find the Facebook group by searching! Could you post a link to it?

littlepooch · 01/02/2017 15:32

I am so sorry lasagna. And mouse hope everything goes ok. Thinking of you.

Is the Facebook group not secret then cali? I thought you couldn't search for a group if it were secret? I'm not planning to join until after my 12 week scan but thought I'd check as I'd rather join a secret group! Smile

Ugh these first 12 weeks are going so slowly. I still feel like its ages away until my 12 week scan. 2 and a bit weeks!!!

ringroads · 01/02/2017 15:56

Mouselove hoping things are ok, update us if you want to, thinking of you Flowers

Shed a little tear this afternoon as this nausea is really getting me down. I constantly feel like I could be sick, but no sign of anything coming up. Desperate for it to stop!

Welcome Peachy

Amz they took it well... kind of. I told her at 8 weeks and she said 'oh your very early so we will see what will happen and talk again in a few months' . I was a bit like mmm. But she text later saying they are really happy for us etc. We don't talk about it as I don't want the kids to know and I am so so paranoid that something will go wrong.
The kids are going to be so happy as once we got married they keep asking when we are going to have a baby.

Boobs aren't heavy and sore today which has me worrying a bit but trying not to read to much into it. Im just about 10 weeks so might be normal. I have been sick today and last night though.

One of the teachers asked me today could I be pregnant - I just laughed it off. I do look terrible so not surprised that they are guessing, they keep telling I look tired Hmm

Also I hear people saying they can't do up jeans etc but they usually have one or more babies. My jeans are closed in the morning but as the day goes on my button pops open.. Ekk and this is my first!

calimommy · 01/02/2017 16:04

I'll have to try to get a laptop later, I just have my phone and the app doesn't work the same for MN. In the meantime if anyone else can do it please do.

You can't join the group unless accepted and no one can see who is a member unless you are a member

Travelgeek · 01/02/2017 16:15

Great news on the scan zyla

Welcome peachy

hummus and olivers, today is my worst day yet too, though I am also grateful for it. I'm 8+2 today and had to take the day off work. I headed off to a different office an hour away and had to turn back as thought I was going to puke in the car. Not good on the motorway! I have just napped and tried to figure out what food I want since. Luckily I told my boss the news yesterday and she's been great. And our lovely crazy lab is at doggy daycare so will be happy and tired when she gets home. Odd to be here without her though. Amazed at you all doing this with little ones to look after too! Definitely thinking this might be an only child! Haha.

calimommy · 01/02/2017 16:19

Ok. Unless I change the setting to 'closed' instead of 'secret' you can't share the link. So I'm assuming people won't want to do this until 12wks+ (which will mean 16/17 weeks for those due at the start vs those due at the end of sept). Therefore please either email me @ [email protected]
Or put your email in a post on this thread and either myself or one of the other admins will happily add you.
X

WLMcI · 01/02/2017 17:11

HellsBells What a coincidence you mentioning that! I swear my boobs are not as full as they were a week ago (I'm 8+6) and I had a wee depressed moment this morning in the shower. I looked at the little week-by-week pregnancy article on here and it does say that the boob "explosion" ends around week 8 or 9 (mine never exploded as much as I'd have likedyou wouldn't call me buxom, but anyway Grin). Plus I haven't had MS except once 2 mornings ago, so my lack of symptoms is less than reassuring for me in generalI just don't know what to expect. But the tummy stretchy feelings are still there so I figure the uterus must be doing its relocation bit anyway! Keeping the faith...

Pinkbottletop · 01/02/2017 17:20

Welcome peachy!

Had to take the day off work today (kind of worked from home but mostly slept). I just can't seem to muster up any kind of energy lately. I'm nauseous all the time and the commute doesn't help. I've been wearing the badge because the travel sickness is ridiculous but the last few days people have been masterfully ignoring it. Such is life.

Good to see everyone else doing well x

Lules · 01/02/2017 18:04

I find if you pointedly make eye contact it helps pinkbottle. I've ordered mine.

In good news I managed to actually eat a meal today. I also told my manager because she was making plans for the next academic year so I thought I should. Also told her I wasn't feeling well and she was sympathetic which was good. Bit weird that she knows but none of my friends do!

MrsY87 · 01/02/2017 18:16

My nausea has really stepped up too in the past couple of days olivers and hummus so really feel for you, it's awful. With you on commuting being horrible pink luckily I worked from home today but not looking forward to tomorrow.

Had a scan today though and made feeling rubbish so worth it! Measuring 8+4 so exactly 2 weeks on from my scan 2 weeks ago, the change was unreal it is actually starting to look like a real baby!

Welcome peachy!

Amz26 · 01/02/2017 18:42

I'm so sorry to hear that mouse I've got my Fx for you Flowers

Welcome peachy wow what a journey you've had :)

HellsBellsK I'm glad they took its well it's so hard when you look after other people's children as they rely on you so much and you don't want to let them down! But I guess we have to have our own children sometime.. I'm not married and my situation is completely as we're going through a remodel of our house and we're living with my parents.. so I think they will be completely shocked!! Oh well Ill tell them after the 12week scan. That's so sweet the kids with me happy, I think mine will be too.. well at least the girl will be! Not sure the 12 year old boy will care much haha 😂

Gingerbreadmam · 01/02/2017 18:52

For those with terrible nausea lucozade really helped me in my previous pregnancy. Sipping fizzy lucozade regularly got me through the worst of it.

Also have snacks close by, sucky sweets, crackers, digestives, ginger snaps should all really help.

Kskifred · 01/02/2017 19:30

Got fx things are still working out for you mouse I really hope tomo gives you good news.

I've got an early scan on friday, I will be 8+1 i think. Much more nervous this time around, last time i didn't get nervous until 12 week scan but i just need to know earlier this time, i'm not having any worrying symptoms, if anything ms is so much worse this time and still got stretching most days but just more anxious, maybe coz i'm regretting being pushed into telling work with confirmation.

Anyway healthy baby dust to everyone xx

OkyDoke · 01/02/2017 19:39

I told my bosses today! One of then is due off of paternity leave any minute which would have overlapped with my 12 week scan and i didnt want them to be the last to know. Ive worked with them for 6 years and theyve been very good to me so i felt i owed them. They seemed very happy for me, told me to take whatever time i need etc. Weight off my mind!

Pinkbottletop · 01/02/2017 19:57

I need to tell my boss but he's supposed to be making my job permanent and I don't want him to delay it or not make me perm if I tell him I will be going for mat leave in 7 months time. I have been doing the role 15 months and good feedback and up until yesterday he was still happy to put the role up for me to officially apply for. I'm so undecided

turtletum · 01/02/2017 19:57

I'm thinking of you mouse. Hope tomorrow brings good news. It seems lots of people are having a bad time of it at the moment. Sending healthy baby dust and magical antinausea cures to all.

Heyitsholly · 01/02/2017 20:31
