Hi ladies, had an early scan yesterday and confirmed that I am now 8+3, so relieved has I had been having post-coital bleeding too cali mostly brown blood, so wasn't too worried, but it's still scary. We are avoiding dtd at the moment until at least 12 weeks..haven't done since weekend now but still getting the odd brown/pink spot, which does worry me, but baby was fine on the scan yesterday so will just keep an eye on it and get in touch with gp if it doesn't stop. I am assuming it's a sensitive cervix, and still getting lots of pregnancy symptoms (all day nausea still not easing) so hoping for the best.

For those struggling with sleep, I'm getting up once a night to wee at the moment, but I've also been using the night time rescue remedy spray before I go to bed and when I wake up in the night. It's helping me sleep through DH's snoring (which I never could and have turfed him out into the spare room on many occasions because of it!) so would recommend very highly!

Ah eevee sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself.

oliversmummy, good to hear the early scan was reassuring.

I'm with you all on the night-time weeing and uncomfortable-ness. My usual sleeping position is kind of between being on my side and on my tummy and its just not working for me any more.

After a weekend and Monday of awful nausea, wretching and exhaustion I'm feeling better today. I should rejoice, but instead I get worried. Can't win!

I'm same as you travelgeek hate feeling ill every day, but as soon as it stops I worry! I did see somewhere though that sickness is supposed to peak around 9/10 weeks, so hoping for some relief soon...though hopefully not too far ahead of my 12 week scan, or I'll have too long to wait and worry!

I called the EPU yesterday because I really need some reassurance. I'm 9w exactly today, and so feel like sickness, tiredness, etc should be at their peak right now...but instead, I actually feel quite well. Still got sore boobs but not really much else. Weeks 6-8 I felt horrible but now feel much better. I'm so worried. The EPU said things are nothing to worry about, but I can't stop myself. Has anyone else had symptoms tail off like this?

oliversmummy26 · 31/01/2017 13:04

warwickalice symptoms can come and go throughout your pregnancy, but I understand that it is worrying. Sometimes mine eases off for a day or so but comes back..if you've had no bleeding or cramping then assume that everything is fine..

If EPU won't help are you able to pay for a private scan to reassure yourself?

Eevee I'm so sorry Sad

WarwickAlice I did a lot of reading about symptoms during my last pregnancy as other than sore boobs (and some days not even that) I had absolutely none and I worried myself sick about having no morning sickness, I was completely convinced it was a bad sign. But now I have a very healthy 15 month old to show for it so I was worrying for nothing.

Basically it seems that no symptoms is probably absolutely fine (but also might not be), horrible morning sickness is probably absolutely fine (but also might not be) and symptoms which come and go (or just go) are probably absolutely fine (but also might not be). What I'm trying to say is that whatever symptoms you have or don't have doesn't necessarily mean anything. Now I know it is IMPOSSIBLE not to worry - and believe me I was the worst worrier of them all last time and analysed everything I was/wasn't feeling. But I'm sure things are fine and your lack of symptoms is nothing to worry about.

This time I do not even have sore boobs, I feel 110% normal. I still of course have it in the back of my mind that there is a chance things are not OK but I feel much more chilled knowing that my lack of symptoms last time was nothing to worry about.

MouseLove · 31/01/2017 13:09

So sorry eevee, sending massive hugs. X

Warwick, I'm 9+1 and have had no symptoms at all. Baby is fine. It's apparently more common than we're lead to believe. Midwife wasn't bothered at all last week at my booking. I don't even have sore boobs. 😳

I'm also having the 'feel desperate for a wee but it's just a trickle' thing - anyone any ideas what that is?? It's frustrating!

charlij91 · 31/01/2017 13:57

Eevee So sorry for your loss. We're all thinking of you xx

puttingourhoodupdown · 31/01/2017 15:09

So sorry eevee Flowers

Eugh the nausea, I don't feel like I want to be sick, I just feel yuck....I managed to persuade DD to lie in my bed until 10.30 this morning watching YouTube whilst I dozed....parenting award for me. Much like last time I've gone completely off tea and can't face eating in a morning. The only thing that's taking the edge off is fresh fruit juice or tonic water.

I was looking at my dates again yday and I think I'm actually due 21st not 26th which if that's the case then I'm pleased to have checked another 5 days off the list!
