That sounds like a right pain, hummus it shouldn't be so hard should it! I'm glad I chased my booking in appointment letter today as I got through to maternity services only to be told they hadn't got my referral from my gp at all though the gp said it was sent on the 14th. I wasn't anywhere on their system and they had to find me on old hospital records from when I was a child - maiden name and about 6 addresses ago. Hopefully now I stand a chance of getting a booking in appointment at some point. Though I still have to wait for a letter and am 7 weeks today already.

I'm trying diet ginger ale today. Can't decide yet if ita helping but at least I don't mind the taste. Must be having a hormonal surge today as feeling awful. Not a very productive work day!

Amz26 · 23/01/2017 15:03

lilyborderterrier I'm in love with crisps ATM, would never really eat crisps but I've seem to have one pack a day 😩 I really don't want to put to much weight on!!!

HellsBellsK is that another private scan in 2 weeks? Then you'll only have to wait another 2 weeks for your 12week scan, how exciting 😃
Yeah mine is on the 28th so I have five weeks to wait until I see my little bean again!! X

Amz26 · 23/01/2017 15:04

Forgot to say HellsBellsK I hope you feel better :)

Fluffywallow · 23/01/2017 15:08

Today is a real struggle. I've just been sitting here crying for the best part of an hour. Feel like such a moaner Sad I just don't know how I'm going to manage this for potentially another month....

Scan on 24th Feb when I'll be exactly 12 weeks. Private scan this Thursday after which, all being well, will tell family so at least I might get some help with DD.

Kskifred · 23/01/2017 15:40

Fluffy it is so hard, i put on 5 with DS Shock only got rid of 4 too so bit of a chunk to begin with this time. I figured that as soon as i'm feeling well again i'm back to lots of veggies and balanced foods, whole grains and all that shit but for now, buttery toast!

Fluffywallow · 23/01/2017 15:42

Ksk I'm a stone heavier too this time around! Yes to all the veggies once we feel better. But for now bring on those carbs Grin

Heyitsholly · 23/01/2017 15:46

Im two stone up since the last. 🙈
I was three have got one off and im still on slimming world as i haven't had a booking in appointment yet. Its just healthy eating so i cant see a problem
I soooo dont want to put more on again. It was more the bf after when i convinced myself i could eat all the food as i was up bf at all hours!

HellsBellsK · 23/01/2017 16:24

Amz its included in the Panorama test - I guess it is private but in the hospital I'm attending as I have to pay for the test as its not part of regular testing here. I know That test is on a Thursday then following Wednesday its our 12 week scan. Hopefully we will get that far.
Another one of my friends just told us she's pregnant so all going to plan our group will have babies due in June, July, August and myself (fingers crossed) In September!

Fluffy I also feel like such a moaner. I feel terrible - I just keep saying sorry to DH as I am just snapping at him the whole time.
I hear what you are all saying with the Carbs - thats all I want, Pizza, Pasta, Toast everything really!
Im now in the mood for a crisp sandwich!

Eevee77 · 23/01/2017 16:41

Possibly going to make you all feel worse but I, typically a carb queen, just really not fussed about food ATM! No sickness really but not much appetite and I usually have some kind of dessert/chocolate/ anything with copious amounts of sugar in on a daily basis but it's not even entering my mind. Good thing too because I'm already 3 stone overweight Blush

Kskifred · 23/01/2017 18:12

i'm really craving something, but then once i've had it despite enjoying it I then am completely out off having it again Hmm most unlike me as i'm a piggy big eater of all things

calimommy · 23/01/2017 18:40

Well the baby belly /bloat has begun in force. Even my husband noticed it yesterday. Fishing for reassurance/compliments I was like "oh I've prob just put on belly fat" but he thought it was definitely firm not poochy 👍 Bound to happen by 3# I suppose, but I'm having to wear loose and shapeless tops to hide it. I'm glad I live abroad from family because they would be on me like a rash. Only 6/7 weeks. 😬 also feeling nauseated AF and totally exhausted constantly. Although somehow tea and toblerone went down just fine. Although I feel sick again now... 🙄

Kskifred · 23/01/2017 19:47

I now NEED Toblerone!

Amz26 · 23/01/2017 20:02

HellsBellsK oh right I see! That's good they do the tests and scan at the same time :) how exciting! None of my friends want children yet but my SIL is due in August and my other SIL is trying.. so hope she falls pregnant soon :)

calimommy I love Toblerone too! Note to self today!! Never wait long periods of time without eating as I was taking the children I look after swimming, and came over very sick and dizzy.. I didn't realise by waiting an extra half an hour to eat would leave me with such bad results!! I won't be doing that again ☹️☹️

Pinkbottletop · 23/01/2017 20:06

Hi all

Serious nausea - seems to be getting worse! And like most of you, I have lost my appetite. Once I start eating I feel ok and sickness fades, but after I eat and up until I eat again, I'm so so nauseous.

Belly swells up a lot as the day goes by!

Congrats everyone getting their scan dates in! I have one at 8 weeks (next Friday) and my first midwife scan on the 14th where I'd be 10 weeks.

puttingourhoodupdown · 23/01/2017 20:26

Sorry so many of you are feeling crappy Flowers

roobois · 23/01/2017 21:08

Hope everyone is feeling better?
Might not be everyone's taste but I think I've found my cure to sickness. Crystallised ginger! I've been eating a bit when I start to feel it coming on and it seems to have helped a bit. Also I've been eating a banana before going to sleep and not been feeling bad when I wake up. Not sure if it will help everyone but thought I would share in case it helps someone.
Got my scan date today 17th Feb I'll be almost exactly 12 weeks by then feels like ages away.

EssentialHummus · 23/01/2017 21:15

i'm really craving something, but then once i've had it despite enjoying it I then am completely out off having it again

Same here. I want x. DH makes me x. I look at x and want to vomit. And repeat. My fridge contains tons of food that's been nibbled at.

It looks like my half-day on the phone to the nhs paid off - I have an endocrinologist appointment next week for thyroid stuff, then booking in and the 12 week scan together in the last week of Feb. Feeling a bit calmer.

ADuckNamedSplash · 23/01/2017 21:21

Ooh roobois, our scans are on the same day!

roobois · 23/01/2017 21:36

Aduck that's so exciting!! Can't wait!!

flymo79 · 24/01/2017 01:53

Am having nightly freak-outs about telling my best friend our news... She had a mc in November after ivf. We were all heartbroken. I know that I need to tell her first but not sure how...

WLMcI · 24/01/2017 04:21

Amz I'm the same--no sickness at all, until I am hungry (which happens suddenly), and then the cold sweats start and I MUST EAT NOW. EAT ALL.

So I rang the GP today and have just found out that they don't do an 8/9 week appointment here (NI); next time I will see the MW is at the 12 week scan apparently! Hmm I did see her for a chat quite early on (4+ weeks) as I was going abroad for half of January and needed advice, so maybe that BP check and urine sample is all they need until 3 months lol! I am now 7+5 (from last AF anyway). I do think that's a bit of a long time to wait to hear a heartbeat, but oh well...We'll just have to tell the in-laws now instead of waiting for that, as per the plan. We see them like every day, so there's no way I can keep it a secret for that long (plus I told my own parents and siblings already as I am visiting them in the US). They were thrilled! Smile

Hope everyone got through Monday with grace and panache without yelling at DH that you KNOW the macaroni cheese is too runny, there's too much goddamn SAUCE and that's why I'm going to use the HOLEY SPOON, stop whining! while he cowers

WLMcI · 24/01/2017 04:34

flymo on a serious note, I understand that situation is certainly delicate. I think in general, we all have friends who have suffered with infertility or mc's and we don't even necessarily know the half of it. So it will always be bittersweet for someone when you tell them. But when you know all the details, and you were in on her hopes from the beginning, it's very hard. I don't have advice other than to tell her when you're alone together so she doesn't feel crowd pressure to react with happiness if her emotions are more complex than that. She will be happy for you in the end, though--your baby and her mc are unconnected and she'll know that logically, which will help with the more illogical emotions. And you could always ask her how much she wants to know as your pregnancy progresses so you're giving her the ability to tune it out a bit if she wants to. She might want to be super involved, who knows! Good luck Smile

Shwighty1 · 24/01/2017 04:59

Ask this talk of Carbs. Dh made an amazing dinner tonight I ate a bit of it and just thought actually ask I wavy is really cheap white bread as toast with honey on it!!

Shwighty1 · 24/01/2017 05:01

Ask should obvs read all!! And wavy = want. Bloody auto correct!!!

Frillyhorseyknickers · 24/01/2017 06:56

I've been up since about 3, I feel like death. I've got back to back client meetings from 8 until 2 and time wise I can't really afford to cancel. I feel so sicky though 😢
