Delighted for you Purple! Fantastic

I'm the same guys - it's getting so hard. Back is killing me, feet swelling and acid reflux is waking up in the night! Meant to finish work Friday week but am in with consultant on Wednesday and going to get signed off this Friday. Physically and mentally can't face another week in work

abeandhalo · 21/03/2017 06:31

Congratulations on the babies! My husband has an interview today so I've been told to cross my legs today then I can have him any time that! Grin

MyGreenSofa · 21/03/2017 06:50

Baby news from me too! DS arrived at 3:14am yesterday morning weighing 6lbs 8oz at 36+1 weeks via EMCS. (Failed induction & VBAC unfortunately). Baby needing some extra help in the neonatal unit at the mo.

Massive congratulations GreenSofa!!StarStar sorry to hear about the failed induction and vbac, but great news your son is here! Hope he's not in neonatal unit too long and you all get home soon. Flowers

Fx for your husband today abe!

Have had another terrible night's sleep, up half the night with hip/thigh pain and cramps. Gave up eventually and got up early so as to allow DH to sleep longer undisturbed. He then started complaining when he got up how tired he was and what a disturbed night's sleep he'd had AngryAngry

So exciring about thread babies arriving, have we got any names yet?

peanutbutter310 · 21/03/2017 08:48

Congrats greensofa! Hope that you get to take him home soon.

Can't believe how busy it has suddenly gotten with arrivals. I did my birth plan and packed my bag yesterday, all starting to feel very real.

PinkUnicorn1990 · 21/03/2017 09:43

choccybiscuit · 21/03/2017 12:02

Congratulations greensofa ! Can't believe all these April babies are popping get put already. My latest baby was born are 38 weeks, that could possibly mean next week? Now I've said that, it'll be two weeks late!

petiteange28 · 21/03/2017 14:32

HLBug · 21/03/2017 18:28

Aww massive congratulations Greensofa - I hope the spell in neonatal is a short one and you'll all be together soon. Have they discharged you or are they allowing you to stay in so you can be close / express for feeding?

Tally update - 1 for the #pinks, 2 for the #blues and 3 #emcs.

peanut2017 · 21/03/2017 20:21

Congrats greensofa that's great news! Omg it's getting close for us all

marmitecheesetoast · 22/03/2017 07:56

How are all the new mummies and babies doing this morning?

DH slept in the spare room last night and I had a much better sleep, only woke up 4 times, woo!

peanut2017 · 22/03/2017 09:26

Just out from consultant & baby is still head down which is good. Still measuring 2 weeks ahead so 7 pounds with 4 weeks to go! In next week & he wants to monitor the growth and started using words like 'difficult' for you in delivery. I really don't want to. E induced or have a section. Need to do some of my Hypnobirthing meditations!

Got a letter to finish this Friday instead of next Friday - feeling guilty as only have had one week with maternity cover

Celticlassie · 22/03/2017 16:33

I'm measuring a couple of weeks ahead too peanut but my midwife doesn't plan on doing anything about it, saying that they'll just check it out when I go into labour. Hmm Next appointment isn't for three weeks when I'll be 38+3. Bit worried I'm going to go into labour with a 12lb baby!

peanut2017 · 22/03/2017 21:43

Yeah I know. Just going to chill and see how it goes next week when I'm back. Baby was 5 pounds 8 three weeks ago and now thinking 7 pounds.

Has to come out into the world anyway!

Got a letter from consultant so am finishing a week early and I feel such a relief! Work is so busy from everyone pulling out of me. Said I would check in on emails & dial in on a few calls.

HR want to speak to me tomorrow? Not sure what for or maybe it's just to cover themselves as I'm finishing early

Went to the breastfeeding clinic after and she told me to start on Sunday at 37 weeks massaging my boobs and from Thursday to start trying to hand express the colostrum into tubes to freeze. When going into have the baby I am to bring them with me.

How is everyone doing?

MygirlKeith · 23/03/2017 00:27

I have my pre-op tomorrow morning at 9am and I'm so sore tonight I can't sleep. Pelvis feels as though it's breaking and have had a few braxton hicks. I just wish I was having the baby tomorrow, I can't do this for another 4 days.

SharkBastard · 23/03/2017 03:15

I started harvesting this week peanut most unglamorous sitting bra less on the sofa squeezing my tits but managed to fill a syringe

Best of luck for tomorrow Keith

bangbangprettypretty · 23/03/2017 09:35

I might have missed a post but what is the reasoning behind harvesting colostrum? Are you diabetic?

I have my 38 week appointment today - what do they do?
