Thanks all, yes really pleased! Although feeling slightly panicky as feel quite behind on birth prep now - need to finish reading my Maggie Howell hypnobirthing book and start listening to the CD again properly! I also have the JuJuj Sundin Birth Skills book to read which I've heard lots of good things about but haven't looked at yet. Has anyone else got this?

Shark I feel your pain - the kitchen worktop and sink are at such an awkward height for big bumps!

My carpal tunnel is getting worse, I have a permanent numb/tingling in the ends of three of my fingers now, of course on my right hand. At least I'm presuming that its CT Hmm

I would also recommend speaking to your midwife about the period type pains purple if you haven't already

I've also had a big increase in discharge - oh the glamour of pregnancy! I'm 35 weeks today and really can't believe where the time has gone.

purpleviolet1 · 10/03/2017 12:41

37 weeks today!

Just got the date for my planned section - 2 weeks today Grin that makes me feel a little more in control....

I did phone triage yesterday and they said it could be the start of labour or it might not be.. she said to

purpleviolet1 · 10/03/2017 12:42

Oops posted too quick. She said to get in touch sooner rather than later if it ramped up. It's strange because it did ramp up for a few hours, I was pacing and really uncomfortable but then it stopped. Same thing happened overnight and this morning. So looks like it's a really slow early labour. I have an appt on Monday so will ask them to check to see if I have dilated at all...

XxBecxX · 10/03/2017 12:45

Oooh purple how exciting on all fronts xx

PinkUnicorn1990 · 10/03/2017 13:24

Exciting purple! Grin

abeandhalo · 10/03/2017 22:03

Finished work today! Doesn't feel quite real yet, maybe it will Monday when I don't go in!

I'm only 36 weeks but been feeling v weird today, odd little shooting pains downstairs, little back pains around the kidney area, and I can feel his heaviness now in my bum as well as the pelvic floor area? Nothing too painful but also nothing I've felt before, so going to make sure I have hospital bags properly packed this weekend!

purpleviolet1 · 10/03/2017 22:11

Is it just me or has anyone got really sweaty smelly feet?? I'm washing them and letting them air by being barefoot but still

MygirlKeith · 11/03/2017 10:58

Not a symptom I've noticed purple!
After having itchy feet all night on Thursday it was fine last night so I think it's nothing to worry about. Nothing new to report, going for a scan on Tuesday to see which way up this wee monkey is and then it's just a wait til the 27th for my section. I'd love it if he came a bit sooner as aim so over being pregnant but the other 2 were born at 41 weeks and 42 weeks so I don't think I've any hope of an early one!

purpleviolet1 · 11/03/2017 12:33

Ooo my section is booked for 24th now. I'm getting period like cramps, don't think it's enough for labour but it's enough to stop me in my tracks and be quite exhausting.

peanutbutter310 · 11/03/2017 13:01

Ooh, exciting to have a date purple. I'm only 34+5 but have started to get increasingly strong Braxton Hicks. Last night I there were a couple I had to breath through - good practice for the main event!

And congrats on finishing up at work abe, enjoy your first few days off work!

abeandhalo · 11/03/2017 13:04

Spent the morning at the hospital as my usual nutty baby didn't wake up this morning and I couldn't even coax movement out of him with cold Coke or pokes. As soon as they put the Doppler on he started kicking it off though as he always does. They've said he's fine and he's back to his normal self now but it was quite a worry when I'm used to being kicked silly!

purpleviolet1 · 11/03/2017 13:27

Oh no abe, you totally did the right thing going into get checked. Glad he is back to normal!

Cuppaqueen · 11/03/2017 13:41

Feel for you Abe - I just spent a night in hospital after a really nasty case of food poisoning Sad Constant vomiting all night and dehydration brought on contractions - was really worried for a while but fortunately antibiotics and IV fluids got the situation under control. Very relieved to say the least!

peanut2017 · 11/03/2017 14:47

Cuppa that's awful. You poor thing.

Had that a few times Abe & it's scary especially when you are so used to lots of kicking.

Just back to our room from a day at the spa & a treatment! Heading for afternoon tea now! Should be a prerequisite and complimentary for every pregnant woman

purpleviolet1 · 11/03/2017 15:04

Oh no cuppa hope you feel better soon. Peanut that sounds wonderful! Enjoy Smile what treatment did you have? Xx

peanutbutter310 · 11/03/2017 15:38

Hope you feel better soon cuppa.

And peanut your day sounds like bliss. I can't seem to stop eating today, and now you've put me in the mood for scones. Might go and rustle up a batch now!

abeandhalo · 11/03/2017 16:04

Cuppa that does not sound fun hope you're feeling better now.

The spa sounds lovely! I have really been getting a craving for an exfoliation treatment / massage and wondering about a pregnancy spa afternoon as a treat while on maternity leave! Grin

HLBug · 11/03/2017 19:13

DH took DS out for the morning so I had the longest, bestest, most loveliest shower I've had in agggeeeesss. Not quite as good as your spa day peanut but it made me feel nice and pampered all the same. Lots of buffing and exfoliating and moisturising. Trying to trim the lady garden was a bit of a nightmare though! I have no idea what it looks like down there - hopefully better than it did! Still a few weeks before ECS so hopefully any particularly bad / bald patches will look a bit better by then! Eek.

Sorry to hear of those that have ended up in hospital over the last few days - hope everyone is feeling better now. Not long to go now for some people- I wonder who will have the first baby and whether it'll be a blue or pink! Exciting! 💙💖👶🏼

jobrum · 11/03/2017 20:16

Hello everyone, just trying to catch up.

We've just moved house. While dh has been working absolutely crazy hours and it resulted in a bit of a breakdown. I always worrt as he suffered from terrible depression in the past but he's dealt with it well this time and taken some much needed time off work.

Yes to all the increase in niggly pain and (yuck!) discharge! Also more cramping but I remember this from last time so not concerned. It's amazing how easier things are second time around!

Cuppa, glad you're feeling better, that must have been so worrying.

Cuppaqueen · 12/03/2017 15:57

Thanks all - felt much better today! Went out for brunch this afternoon and then packed my hospital bag for the delivery just in case - I guess you never know what will happen. Ordered the cot too. So at least we're a bit more organised in the event of any more surprises Grin

Now all I need is a nice spa day just like peanut's ...

peanut2017 · 12/03/2017 17:36

Back home! Feel good after the spa weekend! Definitely recommend it ladies. Ever there was a time to treat yourself to a treatment now is the time!

Going to meet my maternity cover for lunch tomorrow & feel a bit weird about it! Sure it will be fine! Just can't get it out of my head that she will be staying on and no one knows doing exactly what. Just need to let it go! 35 weeks today OMG!

peanut2017 · 12/03/2017 17:39

Jobrum hope your hubby is doing ok! That's a lot of pressure on him too! Needs to mind himself! Never know what others are going through. The mind can be so fragile! Sometimes I put a lot on my husband & then have to stop as I can get anxiety & nearly pass it onto him! How is the new house?

jobrum · 12/03/2017 20:56

He's much better Peanut. He did loads for us and I hated that I couldn't help as much. We still have a box to unpack and boxes to get in the loft but I'm not wooried about that, it will all get done. Hopefully before I give birth!

I am now on mat leave! Not driving and having to do nursery runs on buses and walk a couple of miles to and from work was getting annoying!

The spa sounds lovely. Im booking a maternity massage in the next couple of weeks. Never had a massage before!

abercorn · 13/03/2017 17:17

Hello ladies,
I hope you all are managing well. Some of us might be close to meeting the little ones, how exciting!

I am struggling with pelvis pain since 3-4 days, walking and even sitting at work with legs down hurts. I am 33 weeks so still left with good few weeks at work!
Any suggestions to ease the pain or stop from making it worse pls? Sad

everdene · 13/03/2017 18:56

Aber have you got an exercise ball?

That and swimming for me have made a big difference.
