I no have my maternity jeggings from newlook and they actually fit like a dream. I am over the moon to be able to sit down and breathe again. Absolute bargain

DaisyQueen · 07/01/2017 15:55

Now*

10Betty10 · 07/01/2017 16:21

Urbo 2 bought 😊 Got the bundle with the Cybex Aaron car seat which seems so much more sturdy than the Maxi Cosi Pebble one I thought I wanted! Also managed to save a ton of money as got the chestnut grey which was 40% off. Arrives Tuesday- very exciting!

10Betty10 · 07/01/2017 16:22

Aton not Aaron!

Notyetthere · 07/01/2017 19:15

Bawbles we are also going to get a snuzpod. There are a few on eBay so we are going to bid on them and hopefully we shall bag ourselves a bargain.

Luci loving the travel system and for the price, it looks better than I expected it to. I will definitely keep it in mind for after 20 week scan. Might be persuaded after midwife appointment on 20th Jan if she listens to the heartbeat. Just a small token of reassurance is all I need to be motivated.

I have just showed DH a youtube video of the cocoonbaby and he really wants one for adultsGrin. I told him that most reviews are to do with Babies settling well in them as they imitate a semi-foetal position. His reaction was, "of course, I too would be very settled if I slept in one of those. Get me one!" Lol

OP posts:
Lallypopstick · 07/01/2017 21:12

Not would you put the cocoonababy into the Snuzpod? Both look really good.

Notyetthere · 07/01/2017 21:31

Lally probably not big enough for the snuzpod but we intend to use it more when downstairs and probably out when visiting. We are having summer babies, we would like to be out as much as possible.

OP posts:
Notyetthere · 07/01/2017 21:34

But still, dh wants an adult size version though. Grin

rhodes2015 · 07/01/2017 21:59

I hadn't heard of cacoonababy not, just googled. Wow looks so comfy!

Notyetthere · 07/01/2017 22:23

Forget a pregnancy pillow. I want a cocoonmum! It looks so comfy

OP posts:
CatRash · 08/01/2017 07:42

Talking of pregnancy pillows has anyone got one yet or have one in mind? I'm a front sleeper and sometimes back but never a side sleeper as find it uncomfortable. I'd like to start using one ASAP but there's so many different styles.

mynameisntLinda · 08/01/2017 08:50

coughs quietly in corner
Hello everyone, could I come join you. I'm 14 ish weeks pregnant and have been burying my head in the sand about being pregnant. I miscarried last July (hence ignoring the fact I'm preg) but I have my first scan tomorrow.
This will be second baby, my first is 20 months old, I keep thinking I must be mad having 2, 1 is hard enough lol

catrash I had a massive maternity pillow first time round and it was like a big letter U that was the size of me. It was the.best.thing.ever!! I too was a front sleeper but when you get bigger it's nice to lie with a leg over the pillow like you're hugging it.

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 08/01/2017 08:53

Catrash I got one of the curved ones when it was half price through bounty but I wish I'd have done some more research first as I'm way too tall for it and it just gives me neck ache. I got it to stop me sleeping flat on my back but I just can't get comfortable with it yet.

TinklingTheIvories · 08/01/2017 09:30

I've started by just having a pillow on my tummy which moves me more into my side before I buy the big U shaped full body ones.

Kitsandkids · 08/01/2017 10:22

Morning all. Wrt to prams, I have always, always wanted a coach built Silver Cross. I know they're very bulky but I don't drive anyway so do a lot of walking and would love to take the baby for walks in such a big, beautiful pram. But they are so expensive! I know it's greedy and I would never ask but I'm hoping my mum will offer to pay something towards it. She had one for me when I was a baby so loves them too! Otherwise, the Inglesina Classica might be a good compromise but I think you have to order them from abroad.

I haven't bought anything or really allowed myself to look at anything 'just in case' but I have signed up to a few free baby clubs and got my free Cow and Gate cuddly cow in the post yesterday which was pretty exciting!

Spindelina · 08/01/2017 10:53

kits a friend of mine got given an Emmaljunga coach-built pram. Gorgeous. Envy.

mynameisntLinda · 08/01/2017 12:29

Oo kits silver crosses are gorgeous. If I didn't drive I'd defo have one of those.
I doubt I'll buy a pram this time. I'll use my faithful mama's and papas zoom but mainly I'll probably be baby wearing. Might treat myself to a nice tula or a proper wrap rather than my palm and pond cheapy I got off ebay.
I mainly used my maternity pillow to make sure I stayed lying on my left side. Apparently it's better for your circulation or something so it stopped me rolling on my back or rolling over.
Not buying anything until after my second scan though I don't think. I feel a bit "just in case" about it all too

crombanna · 08/01/2017 15:39

I'm still sleeping on my tummy!!

Notyetthere · 08/01/2017 16:49

I used to sleep on my tummy but bobs are a little bigger and more difficult to sleep on the front. I mostly now sleep on left anyway but after a few hours, there is back and hip bone pain which dissipates after an hour when I wake up.

Welcome to the thread Linda. I'm sorry to hear about your previous miscarriage but wish you all the luck in the world for tomorrow!

Good idea tinkling I might have to start doing that!!

I've been looking at those giant u-shaped pillows and they look amazing. Was it only useful for sleeping or have you used it with baby at all i.e. breastfeeding?

Thanks for your feedback thumbs ithink I know what ones you mean...Is it like a number 9? I shouldn't have any issues with height (5'2") though!

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 08/01/2017 18:35

Catrash yeah thats the one I mean. I'm hoping it will be useful as I get bigger or as a feeding pillow when baby is here.

mynameisntLinda · 08/01/2017 19:32

Thanks cat Smile
I used my maternity pillow for a little bit after birth for breast feeding at night. It was really big and fluffy so was great for under arm support at night. Sitting inside the u shape if that makes sense.
But then I learnt how to feed lying down so I got rid of the pillow so that I could just roll over and feed him lying down. Not bed sharing (I was too scared to do that and info on how to bed share safely is limited) but he was in the chicco next2me and me in the bed.

DrewOB0 · 08/01/2017 19:59

Hello! 12 weeks scan this week! Stress is eating me alive

Harvestwidow · 08/01/2017 21:38

Drew me too!! Mines on Thursday, I went for my 12 week scan in December but they dated me at 10+3 so I have to go back, for the past week I haven't felt pregnant at all, before was nauseous everyday for most of the day and had sore boobs and now nothing!!
