badger my boy, probably unusually, fell asleep when he was tired and then i put him down wherever. I never put him down for a nap iyswim. So the issue wouldn't have arisen for us (this one may well be different!)

Klane i know of one liver pregnancy issue, normally happens if you're having twins though, don't think it has serious consequences aside from making the mother itch though, hope your ultrasound comes back clear! Why did they send you for the blood tests? Being pregnant is like being a pincushion sometimes!

Sah1987 · 21/01/2017 20:22

Jennymac you've probably already been so know but B&Q have 10% off of all flooring and tiling this weekend if you're signed up to their clubcard.
Works out a huge saving on top of already discounted stuff 😁

growcookeat · 21/01/2017 20:35

Ok looks good for a rocker chair then. I might see if I can get a second hand one as the costs of all these bits seem to be mounting up! I've just spent a fortune online shopping the Asda baby event. Also chucked in some basic maternity tshirts as I'm feeling fed up of wearing the same 3/4 outfits all the time!

RasperryInAMelon · 21/01/2017 21:01

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm knackered!

DH and I have spent the afternoon at Lakeside looking at chairs for the nursery, tried the Poang from Ikea, comfy but I have a really bad back at the best of times so need something slightly more cushioned - think we've decided on the Mothercare one but will hold off ordering it until next weekend once the furniture we have is built.

Managed to pick up a few other bits and pieces and have decided that I might not buy a cot mobile, but might actually attempt to make one myself whilst I'm on Mat Leave Hmm could be interesting...

Going to have a clear out in the kitchen tomorrow, we have a ton of Tupperware we don't use and whilst we'll keep some, we need to make space for the steriliser and bottles etc as we got given a ton of brand new bottles that the kids SIL looks after never used!

KLane · 21/01/2017 21:02

savagehk They did ask if I had a lot of itching (I don't)! My GP ordered the blood test after I told him about the pain in my right rib cage/ under the sternum. I had an obstetrician appt about something completely unrelated, and she happened to look at the results, and was fairly concerned so ordered another test. Unfortunately the liver reading came back the same. The one thing I think it could potentially be is gallstones but I don't have any other symptoms. Hopefully it's nothing but I've had to rearrange a work trip to be at the hospital for most of Monday!

I've been pleasantly surprised that the level of care at Lewisham hospital has been outstanding!

EsmesBees · 21/01/2017 21:10

Great they are taking care of you Klane. Fingers crossed that's it's nothing to worry about.

So knackered Raspberry. Struggled to sleep last night because of heartburn and DD was coughing on the monitor. Still, I get my weekly lie in tomorrow. Woohoo!

Barnes79 · 21/01/2017 21:12

I had a little accident today - fell down half a flight of stairs on my bottom. Bump didn't get hit but I fear my foot (which went through the bannister rails), shoulder, bum and back may be sore tomorrow... Blush

Badgerbird · 21/01/2017 21:18

klane that founds site. Good that it's bring seem to and yes prob best stay away from google!

Good point esme, will prob be big enough for a high chair then. Seen a red one I like in Ikea. Def gonna get a bouncy anyway as you say good for playing, shower, washing up etc. savage bless him, it's tiring doing all that growing :) hope my little one takes that approach.

Just had Mexican for dinner and there has been a lot of runkling going on so I think she likes chilli! Grin

savagehk · 21/01/2017 21:24

Poang ladies I only recently discovered IKEA do a rocking-Poang as well as the 'normal' one :) I think a trip to IKEA to test is needed.

KLane hope everything is OK. The thing I know about is usually for twins (or more) and apparently happens as the babies push on the liver which means it doesn't work as well (and makes you itch). Hoping your baby moves out the way and lets your liver get back to normal, if that's what it is! If you are having a liver ultrasound, I wonder if they'd tell you which way baby's lying? Then if baby is lying awkwardly, having a look on spinningbabies might give you some tips persuade it to move?

Badgerbird · 21/01/2017 21:33

Oh blimey klane my message didn't make any sense sorry!!! I was trying to say that I'm glad you're being seen to and hope it's not too sore.

mrscrocopop · 21/01/2017 21:51

Raspberry - I am exhausted too!

We have been to a sling library today which was really fun. We tried slings/carriers with baby weight dolls which were strangely cute!

Is anyone else starting to get really achey? Some nights my back is such agony I almost can't take a full breath! Not a good start this early on!

mrscrocopop · 21/01/2017 21:52

Barnes - sorry to hear about your fall! That sounds like it will be very painful!

savagehk · 21/01/2017 23:26

Eureka. Something like this (eBay) - ours had a better crotch strap though!

Brightsmoke · 22/01/2017 04:54

Hope your not too sore today Barnes!

Mrs, also getting very achey here :( plug myself into the tens machine most biffs which really helps, worth getting one if the don't already!

I'm getting a bad pain to the right hand side of my groin, like the bone, when I stand up or pur pressure onto that leg, anyone had similar or knows what it could be? Will bring it up with midwife when I go next

RasperryInAMelon · 22/01/2017 05:28

Sensing a few of us are struggling to sleep at the moment!?...

savagehk · 22/01/2017 05:37

Waves to rasperry.... Only went to bed around midnight as I wasn't tired yet, then woke up about 40 mins ago and couldn't get back to sleep so decided to cut my losses and do something productive :)

Jugoo how about the babymule - we had that first time around and will probably use it again. I see they now do the 'essentials pack' which you could buy and use in a normal backpack/bag as well. www.babymule.co.uk/View-the-Range

Sipperskipper · 22/01/2017 07:55

My back is achy and keeps me awake for a bit. I am the heaviest sleeper ever though, so takes a LOT to wake me. But struggling to get comfy sitting on the sofa, my back feels like its 'pulling'...just odd!

Also, baby is kicking loads, which is nice, but sometimes its reay low down, and REALLY uncomfortable! Takes my breath away!

Have been looking at changing bags - the wonderbag by pink lining is cool - it changes into a backpack so figured it would be good for when using a sling. Has great reviews too.

Barnes79 · 22/01/2017 08:28

Brightsmoke - sounds like classic pelvic girdle pain. Ask for a physio referral.

Not too achy today after my fall - foot is bruising like a beauty but not too sore. Just my upper back which needs a bit of stretching Smile

newbieho · 22/01/2017 08:47

Good morning everyone! I've just got an email from Boots with a heads up about their baby event starting 01 Feb. There will be quite a few discounts in case anyone is planning further shopping.

Sunny but cold weather here, have a good day everyone Star

coxsorangepippin · 22/01/2017 10:07

jugoo our one and only baby related purchase so far is a black and brown longchamp bag (second hand) which is unisex enough for us!

RasperryInAMelon · 22/01/2017 10:34

Jugoo we're going with the Isabelle by Babybeau or the Pacapod Mirano in tan.

Pricey options but again, wanting something that DH likes

Spam88 · 22/01/2017 10:50

Bright Sounds like PGP, that's pretty similar to what mine's like. Call your midwife to see about getting physio, and I'm the mean time the NHS page has some good basic advice on dealing with it. Most importantly just take it easy :)

I've just had the best nights sleep with my new V pillow. I think I might love it more than I love my husband.
