Just weighed myself as I'm at my parents' today (I don't own scales). Put on about half a stone I reckon, so not too bad. Mum reckons my bump has grown a lot in the past week!

badger my belly bar is still in. It's a maternity one, but I'm thinking of taking it out.

Grow I can't find any black maternity tights on the M&S website!

Rustler74 · 13/01/2017 10:24

Peas when I used to run clinics in the surestart centre, there was a bounce and rhyme morning with 3 different age groups below 5, which really appealed to me. It was quite loud for the biggest group of 2.5-5 years old. Youngest babies were about 6 weeks until 1 year of age, with much quieter atmosphere and gorgeous tones, and the next group was 1-2.5 years with fabulous toys etc. The lady who led the groups was self employed in a franchise and she was just really lovely. Even some of my parents felt that their kids with developmental delay felt that their kids were making progress thanks to the group. That's definitely something I'd like to try.

lullaby23 · 13/01/2017 10:27

Ooh hungarian is that Nutshell? I want to read but waiting for the paperback.

I had an unexpected bout of sickness this morning and an unexpected pelvic floor fail whilst vomiting, oh the glamour of pregnancy Sad

I agree don't stress about weight gain, it's very individual anyway. I probably shouldn't put on anything as I'm already overweight but I cannot cope with my usual attempt to low carb when pregnant. Baby wants marmite on toast.

Unfortunately here they weigh you every fricking appointment which is monthly, the only good thing is it's in kg I would probably cry if I had to think about it in stone. Last time I put on 7kg and was down 13kg within a few weeks after having a 3.8kg baby so there is a lot of extra water weight etc that falls away. I also (temporarily) lost my appetite after the birth.

teainbed · 13/01/2017 10:37

peas I had the same a few nights ago, so painful!

ImYourWomanJonSnow · 13/01/2017 10:52

Badger I have started pregnancy yoga class at 15 weeks, it's wonderful but I feel I want to do it more than once a week, it makes me so happy and stretched. I have joined 31 Yoga challenge with Adrienne (belatedly) with my colleagues, we just bring mats into the chillout room over our lunch break. I also do yogaglo.com prenatal lessons for days at home, I find the classes more fun than DVDs which tend to repeat.

For swimming I have best intentions but with toddler and a job realistically I can't go more than once or twice a week as getting there, swimming, getting dry and dressed and coming back eats up two hours of my day which I don't always have...

Your salad diet sounds lovely.

How is everyone coping with icy pavements today? I have been walking at snail pace, so scared of falling on my bump.

PeachIcedT · 13/01/2017 11:22

The pavements were so treacherous here JonSnow today, and scary when I've heard of others who have slipped badly. I left for work a bit early so that I could shuffle in and told myself if I fell, to try and avoid bump. Hope everyone with snow is extra careful.

Sah1987 · 13/01/2017 11:48

Trying to get to swimming this morning on icy paths with a 4 year old was no fun!!! I'm a spoil sport but like looking at snow but that's about it! Hate being out in it hate driving in it x

Teaspoon74 · 13/01/2017 11:51

MissMoo I had my whooping cough & flu jabs at the same time last week. I queried whooping with nurse as posters in the waiting room said 28wks but she said the guidance had changed - she checked online and confirmed they can do it from 20wks.

Dunno if that is helpful Hmm

KLane · 13/01/2017 11:53

Thanks savagehk. I spoke to the GP this morning about it and he was pretty perplexed. He said that normally it would be associated with sickness and fever as it would be pancreas related, but he put in a referral for an ultrasound on that area, plus blood work just to be sure. I know the baby was breach at the last ultrasound, so perhaps that's it after all!

RasperryInAMelon · 13/01/2017 11:58

I had my whooping Cough yesterday and am feeling pretty crappy today.

Pavements aren't too bad here, although I did get the oddest looks when DH and I went ice skating last week with my bump and baby on board badge attached to my coat 🙈

It's something that we do every year just before or after Christmas and I didn't really think about it too much when we booked it, thankfully all was ok though ☺

lucieloos · 13/01/2017 12:07

I had whooping cough at 21 weeks didn't get any symptoms whatsoever from it although I rarely do with these things.

CinnamonTwist · 13/01/2017 12:35

Dream I love your post 😁 I have a countdown 'range' in my diary Blush - to the beginning and end of the 'window' so 2 weeks before due date to 2 weeks after... today it is 96-124 days... I'm not sure if this makes me super sad but I like seeing the numbers go down and down so it makes me happy!

MrsJW I noticed when I put on my leggings this morning that I hadn't cut the lower label out- they are red herring ones, they are super comfy I'm wearing them all the time with various loose dresses (and I'm not normally much of a dress person)

Regarding weight changes I have been weighing myself quite often (more out of interest than anything else) and keeping a graph of my weight changes vs the average change for my BMI, I'll try to attach a picture; the blue line is me, the orange line is the average by week added to my starting weight. I have gone from quite a bit under average to being over it now, I figure it will probably vary quite a lot over the whole pregnancy and I'm not going to worry about it. But those worrying if they are under or over it might help to see the amount of variation I've had...? It's not something I would normally share, so I hope it does...

Thanks for the hotel recommendations Barnes and Adventure I will check them out. Is it warm enough to swim in the pool atm?

Badgerbird · 13/01/2017 13:15

Sounds like you've got it sorted on the yoga front jonsnow! I'm gonna check out yogaglo for at home as still can't find DVD I got last year. The joys of house renovation! I love my pregnancy yoga classes too, can't wait to go back after Xmas break tomorrow :) Just got back from big windy walk in the woods. Bliss. Feel so lucky to feel more energy and less sick therefore able to get my body moving again!

Oh and def not a salad diet, I don't do diets Smile but back to eating lots more salad which I loved before my tastebuds went all wonky Confused

Very thoughtful of you to share that twist and very organised!

Glad your meeting went as well as it could rustler. Hopefully take some stress off you.

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 13/01/2017 14:01

lullaby yes yes it was Nutshell, a brilliant and v funny Radio 4 version. Bet the book will be good but if you can download to listen after reading think you'll enjoy it. Ohh Badger where can we find One Bad Mother?

Not the best ever but on the preggo theme 'Bound' on Radio 4 is set (and actually recorded) in a women's prison and follows the decision making about where the baby will live after birth.

Cinnamon love the countdown range (that was my 'give or take' babies discretion) have you got a picture of it? I thought your weight chart was your countdown for a mo, bit Confused over here!

Rustler really pleased your meeting went better than expected. It is very stressful not knowing where you stand.

Rustler74 · 13/01/2017 14:13

Nice to read all your adventures ladies. Feeling quite connected!
I hope I am not bombarding you too much with mine?

Are we still thinking of meeting up next Monday? I'll have to prepare my partner if we do and make him something nice in the slow cooker to come home to. He won't mind so much then Wink
A bit anxious about getting out to go food shopping...
Better do it now before it goes dark. Perhaps get dressed first?

MrsJW15 · 13/01/2017 14:34

Thanks Cinnamon! Black are currently out of stock but I'll keep an eye on them. Do they have a bump band or a high waist band? I've got some New Look ones, where the waist band is on the bump and I cant decide if that's going to be comfortable or not.

RasperryInAMelon · 13/01/2017 16:12

Very much still on for Mondays meet up Rustler - the names of those who confirmed they're coming are on the spreadsheet.

Does anyone else want to join?

Adventuregame · 13/01/2017 17:41

Fox I've been in the pool every day. It takes your breath away a bit at first but lovely once you're in. Some of the pools are heated in winter months too.

Autumnsweater · 13/01/2017 18:05

Well we've had tons of snow today!! Much less treacherous to walk than the ice thankfully. Trains were fine but car journeys were a bit dicey so I just went in by train. Dogs are loving it!

dream Grin I'll definitely be listening to radio 4 on mat leave, bit of an addict! Love quite a few podcasts too (This American Life etc) and got myself an Audible subscription this year so I'll keep myself entertained!

RasperryInAMelon · 13/01/2017 18:56

Just had an email... the Aldi any event starts on Thursday!

yellowismyfavourite · 13/01/2017 19:12

So excited... Our nursery got new carpet today now we have finished painting and the whole travel system we ordered online came today too! Tomorrow we go to look at a nursing chair we found on gumtree. I love going in the nursery and imagining the baby in there... It was just used as a dumping room before

claremccrory59 · 13/01/2017 20:32

Hi ladies, I am late to the party, hopefully not too late?
I'm due 30th May, and I have a 13 month old baby girl - she was conceived after 5 years of trying and this pregnancy happened after my first pp period, so a bit of a shock!
Anybody else in Northern Ireland? Is there a FB group? Xx

CinnamonTwist · 13/01/2017 22:17

MrsJW, they're over the bump ones, I got them in navy as they had sold out of black at the time, I need to get another pair really but haven't got round to it. I am finding over the bump things much more comfortable than the under bump ones with the elastic bands, I've got one pair of jeans like that and I get really uncomfortable in them if I have to sit down for very long (like a meal). It feels like the band digs in, it gets uncomfortable and I start to worry about it affecting the baby... but it's probably just me being a bit paranoid!

I'm not sure why, but today I suddenly feel huge... my skin feels kind of tight now and my bump looks massive... I feel like it's too early to be feeling like this, still got 15 weeks of growing (faster growing than before I think?) left to go Shock I'm going to be a bowling ball.... 🎳

CinnamonTwist · 13/01/2017 22:18

No... a bowling ball is too small and neat... a beach ball!!!
