I had my scan today as well and it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen! At 8 weeks I had a blob, now there's arms and legs and a face! I measured at 13+1 so due date is now 2nd August. I keep giggling at my picture. We're telling Facebook soon!

Fieldandgrasses · 27/01/2017 04:48

Sorry, Misslw. Had my dating scan yesterday. Still twins! Allowing myself to get a bit excited now!

ZigAZigAhh · 27/01/2017 06:54

missslw - I'm so sorry it wasn't more positive news for you. Is there any chance they just couldn't get the measurements right and/or you're just measuring a little bit small but not as small as they think? The next two weeks will no doubt seem like an eternity - look after yourself and I hope you've got lots of support to help ease the burden a little. Thinking of you Flowers

ZigAZigAhh · 27/01/2017 06:56

Good luck for today Kirsty ! Smile

Fieldandgrasses · 27/01/2017 07:29

Good luck, Kirsty!

Kirstyinnorway · 27/01/2017 09:12

Ah, thanks lovely field and zig!
Congratulations on your beautiful blob, Bryonie!

TMI26 · 27/01/2017 10:18

Today's the day of the dating scan!!!!

MrsG280516 · 27/01/2017 11:34

Good luck to those with scans today! I'm still waiting to find out when my dating scan is, I'm 12 weeks tomorrow so I really hope its soon!

Heatherbaby · 27/01/2017 11:52

Sorry for those with bad news at scans.

Good luck to all those with scans today. Mine is tomorrow and like you kirsty I'm half expecting there are two...but most likely I've just been a wimp with this being my first pregnancy!

I'm just dreading having to go in with a full bladder cos when I need to go I need to go!!

Heatherbaby · 27/01/2017 11:54

mrsg maybe you can chase your GP for the referral as the scan is usually between 12 and 14 weeks so yours should be pretty soon!

TMI26 · 27/01/2017 12:23

Baby is alive and well, feisty little thing wasn't staying still! I was so scared with the fever - our little miracle :)

slpro · 27/01/2017 13:05

Hi I'm due on 30th August with my second. I have a three year old daughter already. Feeling very sick and tired but I did last time. Just got my scan date in 3 weeks time can't wait to see this little one. X

ZigAZigAhh · 27/01/2017 13:36

Awesome news TMI Grin

ZigAZigAhh · 27/01/2017 13:37

Welcome slpro - hope the sickness and tiredness disappear soon and the next three weeks fly by Smile

TMI26 · 27/01/2017 14:02

Thanks zig It was magical, obviously I started welling up - my new ed is 13/08 - but I've also lost 3kgs since I first got weighed, think it was the fever, I couldn't keep anything down :( I also found out I'm rhesus negative so hoping it's a smooth pregnancy :)

Kirsty, best of luck, let us know how it goes!

slpro · 27/01/2017 14:13

Thanks zig it only lasted till 14 weeks with my daughter. I could barely eat anything with her but managing better with this one as long as I stick to certain foods.

ScottishLady7 · 27/01/2017 16:34

Kirsty How did the scan go?

Kirstyinnorway · 27/01/2017 16:41

Still waiting Scottish! It's at 18:30, super late. I'm dying with impatience! Shock

Stinkbaby · 27/01/2017 16:54

So sorry to hear about the losses Sad
But also very happy to hear about the positive scans, mixed bag of emotions eh?

Kirstyinnorway · 27/01/2017 19:41

Just back from the most magic scan! Grin

Bean was waving, kicking and wiggling 😍 HB was good (120) I'm in love with my little blob! I measured a bit big at 10+2 (although I suspect that will change as I know when I ovulated)!

Home now with crisps and alcohol-free wine to celebrate... Today was a good day Smile

Kirstyinnorway · 27/01/2017 19:42

August 2017: the one in which we'll get midwife appointment
Lixon · 27/01/2017 19:54

Yay, so happy for you Kirsty and TMI. Hopefully that will help the next 8 weeks pass a bit more easily now Kirsty Smile

I'm so sorry to waterfeature and misslw, I really hope you have lots of support and can rest and take care of yourselves in the coming days.

Welcome slpro (or slurp as my iPhone wants to call you :) )
I have my scan on Monday and am veering between excitement and massive nerves, insomnia is generally terrible but not counting on sleeping at all this Sunday..

ZigAZigAhh · 27/01/2017 20:24

Yay Kirsty - wonderful news and such a gorgeous photo! Grin

Lixon - hope you manage to get some sleep on Sunday! I am feeling very much the same about mine (having it Monday week) so easier said than done I know!

Just back from a few days abroad on a business trip and found it so awkward (a) not being able to drink and making up a lame excuse that I am doing Dry January (and then having to field all sorts of questions about why and what I hoped to get out of it), (b) having to cunningly disguise my extreme bloatedness each evening and hide my excruciating heartburn which always seemed to hit in the middle of meetings, and (c) limit my caffeine intake even though I was exhausted! It was lovely having a hotel bed to myself but it's also very nice to be home and to see DH and especially DC1 (my first time away from him for an extended period - he seemed very unphased by it all!)

OkyDoke · 27/01/2017 21:47

TMI im rhesus negative as well, i did know before as i am a blood donor. All fun and games isnt it?

At my booking in i had my bloods taken and after a few days i got a call - one of the tests showed i had an increased risk of blood clots. Have to gave a redo on the 8th to check. Anyone have any experience of this?

WestyNottingham · 27/01/2017 22:01

My EDD is the 29th - I name changed from my full name (helenwest) so am on the list twice!
I'm still shattered but maybe a bit less queasy? I'm 9+3. The eight week scan already feels like it was forever ago and am anxious to see it again and know that it's still developing.
It's looking like I'll be moving house (finally) in about three weeks, yay! Have wanted to move to a nicer area for years but only just got the new, bigger mortgage approved. So, that just means that I need to find the time to pack up twelve years worth of crap!! Yikes. Baby daddy will be on holiday with his boyfriend when I move so will be no help at all, but hopefully my parents can come stay for a few days.
