Earlier on when I went to toilet I noticed a small very very light streak of pink.

I've just been to the toilet and I have been bleeding, it's very darkish brownish. Sad

I googled it and it said it could be the start of a miscarriage.

Seahawk80 · 02/12/2016 18:23

Try not to panic million is there an A&E at a hospital that has an epu attached that you can go to? At my hospital the epu is open weekends but a&e have to refer you.

I've had more than one bleed and everything still ok so if it's not heavy bleeding it really can be ok Flowers

whyistherumgone · 02/12/2016 18:32

keeping my fingers crossed for you amillion must be really scary :(
Hopefully it's just normal bleeding that sometimes happens - Seahawk's advice is what I would suggest too. X

mummycaitlin · 02/12/2016 19:04

million because it's dark blood it's likely to be old, left over blood. I know it's hard but try not to worry. There should be an EPU near you, mine that I went to this morning is a drop in from 8-9 every morning and they assess and scan you. Do you have any pain or cramping? Ring 111 if you can't find any info on a local EPU and they can tell you what to do.

AMillionMilesFromThere · 02/12/2016 19:19

There's no pain or cramping.

I don't feel like I should be going to the epu yet, is that risky would you guys say?

I've been to the toilet again a billion times and it seems to have stopped....

Moonbeam2216 · 02/12/2016 19:40

Hi all hope it's ok to join!
I'm currently 9+4, had my booking appointment yesterday bloods taken (first blood test was so nervous) midwife was lovely.
I've got very few symptoms, tender boobs when touched and tired but that's it, I was rather concerned something was up so had an early reassurance scan privately and seen little ones heart beat and got given an EDD of 3.7.17.
Has anyone else got very few symptoms? I feel lucky not to have morning sickness but at the same time I don't feel pregnant at all! X

Spindelina · 02/12/2016 19:58

million there's very little that EPUs can actually do to stop a miscarriage happening. So it's not risky in that sense - you won't make things worse by not going.

As the others say, brown blood with no cramping is probably nothing.

Moonbeam, my symptoms aren't bad either. I'm a bit tired, I feel a bit queasy when I get hungry, and my boobs are a bit sore. But first pregnancy (DD, 4) was exactly the same so I'm enjoying it!

danigrace · 02/12/2016 20:42

Well I saw a baby be born yesterday!! Was pretty amazing. My friend was having contractions she could talk through when I arrived and was holding her baby 3 hours later!!! All happened so fast and completely naturally (she had 20 mins of gas and air in triage and that was all!), & it was her first baby. Doesn't feel like a real experience!

LuciBee231015 · 02/12/2016 20:55

million hope you are ok. If it's gone surely you will be fine, might be better just to get checked anyway tho.

I had my booking appointment today, lots of forms and that was about it. Got to pee in a pot when I have my scan in 2 weeks and take it with me for them to send it off. Feel quite content after it actually, every tho I didn't really get much out of it. Think it's the peace of mind that I'm on their records now. I got booked in for all other midwife appointment on 20th Jan too, she said she'll listen to the heartbeat on that one.

AMillionMilesFromThere · 02/12/2016 21:16

Thanks for the replies and well wishes x

Bleeding hasn't continued and I'm feeling very nauseous so taking it as a good sign ... going to keep a very close eye on it and if I do bleed in the night or morning I'll probably go in to the EPU.

Dh came home from work and cooked dinner for us all. Now crashed on the sofa but getting up to go to bed ! He's a bit Shock because I'm usually a very late night owl Grin

purplebella · 02/12/2016 22:47

Good luck million, it sounds so scary.

I just ate 3 slices of Domino's and wasn't sick!! Took me about 45 mins to eat them though! It was really nice to eat food with flavour for a changeGrin. I have been eating alot of ginger biscuits at work and they're really helping

AMillionMilesFromThere · 02/12/2016 23:20

Hehe good job with the pizza eating purple !

Someone mentioned ginger sweets on the first thread , can't remember who, but I'm going to get myself some tomorrow from holland & barratt.

Hope everyone has a good night and lovely safe weekend xxxx

Spindelina · 03/12/2016 07:03

Nairns ginger oatcakes are good - not too sweet - and they don't look obviously like ginger biscuits.

Bloopbleep · 03/12/2016 10:31

After my first pregnancy I can't stomach ginger at all. I had HG and the dr refused to give me anything and told me to drink ginger tea and eat ginger biscuits so I did. I now associate ginger with sickness and nausea :( even just thinking about it now makes me queasy and it never helped a bit ...

Today I'm craving irn bru

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 03/12/2016 10:43

Hope everyone is doing okay. I've just had my private scan and I couldn't quite believe it but baby is perfect, measuring exactly on dates and we heard it's heartbeat. DH said 'I didn't really think we were having a baby before this'!

parsnips82 · 03/12/2016 12:44

Hello! Loving reading everyone's posts.
Can I ask when You got your. Booking appointment through with the midwife? I am 7 weeks now, I have had my early 6 week scan which shows a little tiny bean with a heart beat, and they have given me dates for my 9 week and 12 week scan. But just not sure when I should be expecting to see the midwife for bloods etc?

Seahawk80 · 03/12/2016 12:46

Hi parsnips - mine was at 10 weeks. Have they reffered you or have you self reffered? Once you are reffered they will get in touch although it can take a while

parsnips82 · 03/12/2016 12:54

Thanks Seahawk. I went to the GP to get in the system, then I self referred for the early scans.
Guess I just wait to here from her! I have a massive list of questions (I am a nicu nurse so a bit paranoid!!)

TinklingTheIvories · 03/12/2016 12:55

From what I can understand, every NHS trust does things slightly differently. As soon as I got the bfp I rang to see what to do (it's my first so haven't got a clue really!) and my midwife likes to see everyone around 7-8 weeks (ideally at 7, though not always possible). I've got mine on the day I'll be 7 weeks, so Thursday. No idea what to expect though, but I know it'll last around an hour.

Kitsandkids · 03/12/2016 13:34

At my Drs once you have a positive pregnancy test (just a home one is fine but I put in a urine sample to get it confirmed) you get booked in with a midwife. My practice only has one who works at the practice once a week so sometimes there's a bit of a wait. I was almost 8 weeks when the appointment was made but it's not for another week and a half when I'll be almost 12 weeks. The midwife then organises the first scan so I'm guessing there might be a wait for that too. I did toy with the idea of an early private scan but there aren't any good deals near me so the cheapest would be 89 pounds so I decided to save the money.

To be honest some days I pretty much forget I'm pregnant. I have no sickness though occasionally feel a bit bleurgh and get a funny taste in my mouth. I also don't seem to have any sign of a bump yet. A friend of mine was definitely showing at 8 weeks but I have nothing (except the flab that's always there). Are the rest of you starting to show? I'm 10+1 today.

parsnips82 · 03/12/2016 13:43

Kitsandkids you are sooooo lucky! I feel like I am hungover every day. I feel nauseous 24/7, eating far too many carbs (the only bump is my bloated carb fuellled bump) and good literally curl up for a nap at any point in the day. Basically feel pretty disgusting! Bring on the next trimester!!

It's frustrating how different every trust is! I am very lucky though my early scans have all been nhs freebies!

OohNoDooEy · 03/12/2016 19:22

kits we sound very similar symptom wise. I'm 9+6 & scan is 19/12. Your scan can't be too late unless you don't want the nt test

OohNoDooEy · 03/12/2016 19:23

Also, no bump. Bloating has subsided too.

Stuckinstressville · 03/12/2016 21:52

Still shocked i am still here!! 6+5 and not a blip of sickness yet whilst i remember last time... 6 weeks and boooom. bleugh.

i look as if i only eat bread, and tiredness is extraordinary, however, i am working very hard myself at work, Dh worked late or went out all 5 days and i did pick up and bath, bed myself, etc and my 1 year old DS is a danger seeking menace and i was out for a concert last night, drove all over SW london today with DS as DH was at the rugby all sodding day so i could simply be tired from being a human...

Wondering how i can mask not drinking at xmas parties!

JellytotsRule · 04/12/2016 05:29

Hi Can I join please? I'm 8+1 with DC2! Currently suffering from some insomnia, hence the post at this ungodly hour! Also have some intense nausea and had a lovely experience today trying not to retch at the checkout in Sainsbury's! BlushFingers and toes crossed that this eases up, worried I'm going to miss out on Christmas dinner!
